Bryz with a shut out. Flyers are playing good hockey right now, let's see how long this run is

I'm so glad the Jackets beat the Kings, for many reasons.

John Scott almost had a breakaway in the same game he had an assist and a fight this year, and then lost the puck

Finally Bryz has showed up. Everyone said all year just give Bryz an 8 to 10 game stretch without a break and let him find his groove. And we waited until now to let him play and it worked, might be a good thing tho if he could stay this hot headed into the playoffs.

Uggh. Sports can be so frustrating sometimes. Sharks led Dallas 3-2 late, but the Stars tied it up on an extra-attacker-chaos-in-the-crease-puck-crossed-the-line-by-a-fucking-inch goal late. Sharks get an OT PP, miss three glorious chances, go 0-for-FIVE in the shootout. As a result, we're now 4 points behind them instead of 1. :BANG

Everyone loves Bryz now. Though hypocrisy sickens me, I'm glad he's getting the city back behind him.

Was at the game last night as well. Easily one of their most complete efforts all around. And that was without Voracek, JVR, Timonen, Meszaros, and Kubina. Loving what we're seeing the last couple of weeks.

Edit: And Matt can appreciate during the first intermission how an ad came on the big screen for Nickelback playing at the WF Center and like 70% of the crowd boo'ed. It was priceless.

Thats what happens when a guy gets 50 million in philadelphia and tanks it on the ice. He gave everyone a reason to hate him, and now hes finally playing the way we paid him to.

Yes. Pretty crazy how well the Flyers have played the last few games with the amount of rookies they have on the ice. With that said that Manning kid actually impressed me a little.

Yeah. One of those late scratches kind of deals. Not sure if something just nagging him or if he got sick. Hopefully the three of them (Kimmo, and Mez too) will return by next weekend.

Really? See, this I disagree with with. I heard Rob Ellis and Brian Startare both singing his praises too. Now, do I think he was horrible? No. Not at all. However, even though it was his first NHL game, I didn't think he was great. There were two occasions last night where he chased a Panther for way too long, ended up out of position and gave the Panthers two of their best scoring chances. He should have released and let the forward take the guy from there and gotten back to his spot on D. Again, not horrible play but those plays will cost you games as you go down the stretch.

Also. He should have worn #18.

Well im sure you saw more being there since I had to stop watching mid way through the second period and to that point I thought he played solid and mostly the reason I said that in the first place was he had two shots in a row that actually looked much better than anything Rinaldo has done all year haha.

Agreed on the 18, that woulda been hilarious.

Agreed with the Rinaldo. But Zac's a forward, Manning is D. ;)

Toews skating around with the team at the morning skate. So awesome. He skated before practice yesterday. Nice to see him on the ice during the morning skate with the team.

(waits for Bron Yr Aur to post something insanely negative and pessimistic)

eh, he's not really back yet and one little bump on the noggin at his house and he could be set back to the stone age and we traded Byfuglien so we're fucked.

Sorry we didn't get together, man. I got in right before puck drop and had to settle in with some dinner.

Let me know if you have anymore games this season.

Nickelback sucks.

Manning looked completely overwhelmed last night. He barely had any shifts in the first period, and the majority of his ice time came in the third when the game was already decided.

Toews confirmed today after practice that he was indeed suffering from concussion symptoms. He said it took him a while to admit it, and that he has exchanged texts w/ Sidney Crosby talking about the issues.
Now at least we have it confirmed.

Knowing Toews, I wouldn't be surprised to see him back as soon as Sunday, but Tuesday against the Blues seems a little more believable and likely.

He's not cleared for contact yet. Tuesday seems pretty optimistic.

He's got a lot of work to be done still. If he's back Tuesday, I'll cry.

Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread

There's no chance he's back by Tuesday and quite frankly it'd be stupid to rush him back this quick. Still needs to be cleared for contact.
