If Oshie’s wasn’t a 5 than that one shouldn’t have been. Essentially the same circumstances only Oshie’s was called a penalty on ice

That’s the biggest issue I have with NHL. Too many judgement calls that are left up to interpretation with many factors weighing on the decision. I’m sure the fact the Sharks were down 3 made that a 5 major

They do need to fix these things. Take the high sticking rule, there’s no judgement in it and you’re always responsible for your stick
