I find it ridiculous that a player on Team A can clip a player in the head causing injury and a player on Team B goes comes to the defense of the injured player and it results in a penalty for Team B.

So the result is a major for Team A and 2-5-10 for Team B. 4v4 for 2 minutes and then 5v4 for 3 minutes for Team B .

It just doesn’t make any sense to me. Players like to police themselves and the NHL “wants” to get rid of head shots. It’s just backwards.

Wow, Hawks really needed that win over the Oilers. Got a bit worried when Edmonton tied it by scoring 2 with Talbot pulled to force OT. Then it was showtime in overtime!

Happy for Glass, a 32 year old goalie making his debut getting a win and some damn good ones including stuffing guys like McDavid and Draisaitl on breakaways! Happy for Oesterle getting his first NHL goal.

Pretty damn happy now! Hope this momentum carries over to Calgary on Sunday despite both Crawford and Anisimov being injured!

Hell yeah! This is what hockey fans live for, what a great game - and outcome IMO! :)

I was actually being genuine. It's pretty adorable and I hope it lasts. I do wish, however, we nuked the Yotes, Panthers or Canes from existence to keep a nice even 30 teams.

Yeah, I think either the Canes (because they are almost always awful) or the Panthers (because they never compete and are outclassed by TB) should probably go. a nice even 30 teams (15 per conference) would be great IMO.

And nobody gives a shit about big sports like the basketball or football in the Miami area, so what makes the NHL think the Panthers work there? No one fucking goes to games. It's sad.

Agreed, I have done the Miami nightlife scene a few times and can state that in most bars the TV is tuned to some random soccer game rather than say MLB, NHL, NBA or NFL. I am a soccer fan so I never minded it but that is sort of odd for a major city IMO. It is also not unique to Miami either, most of FL struggles to support any franchise not named the Dolphins - a close friend of mine lives in Tampa and has told me that Rays games often feature people handing out free tickets just to fill the seats and that prior to 2015 Lightening games were not all that popular either. I could get on board with axing the Panthers too, they are a drain on the league, no one really cares about them (except when they had Jagr) and keeping them in the league dilutes the talent pool for the rest of the NHL IMO.
