Hell of a first period. Caps rode the wave hard and had a really good last ten minutes. Holtby looks solid. Caps had a couple forwards go down, that's not great news

CBus just doesn't do it for me, and all of my friends are Red Wing fans, but there is something about the Blackhawks and Chicago fans that I love. Bandwagoner to the max.

I direct you to my sig

Holy shit that environment in New York is unreal. I wish every barn got as excited for playoff hockey as that place.

There's just something about the older barns like Nassau Coliseum that project energy and excitement. The difference between what The Igloo was and what Consol Energy Center is now is kind of night and day.

You think it is because we are starving for playoff hockey but place has always sounded like that this time of year.

At my dads house . Watching game with my dad, 2 brothers and both my boys have their jersey on. Dad has 65 inch tv. It's like being there.

That is now 2 blatant interference calls this period missed or not called. Gette shafted right.

Not even close to enough offense today. Islanders are all over the Caps this whole period. Late period power play coming though. Time to do some goal scoring

Oh 100%. I went to one game at the old Chicago Stadium, and I always wished I could have been old enough to truly appreciate it.

I'm sure you guys have seen/heard stories about that place, but it get UP.

Chicago Stadium was incredible. I have much respect for that place. I remember the players having to walk up stairs to get to the ice. Though I still have fond memories watching the Pens silence the place during the 1992 Stanley Cup Final. ;)

Playoff hockey at its finest!

It's amazing how much better the last 2-3 minutes of regulation are in a tied playoff game than they are in a tied regular season game.

No one goes into a shell just getting to OT so they get the point, everyone fighting to actually WIN the game.

Re: The NHL Thread

Good to see Holtby is back. Solid game for him. Other than that Caps didn't get enough pressure.

Really kills to know how many soft goals they gave up earlier in the series.

If Caps can turn on the PP it will really turn around the series in their favor
