How so?

Pens fans want to talk about how they love their team and yet the organization nearly moved itself to Kansas City. The team only revitalized after getting, oh I don't know, the second coming of Wayne Gretzky--plus Malkin, Fleury, and Jordan Staal.

Having a team like that, one would expect the Penguins to be in the Stanley Cup Finals every single season, and yet they have don't crap since 2009.

But they're the best. You're right.

i think you're just trying to take the discussion somewhere that it's not going. he made fun of the flyers for not winng a cup in a long time. as a flyers fan there's no real comeback to that.

No there isn't. But we haven't intentionally tanked twice to get franchise players.

If Lemieux didn't buy the team, they were probably moving...

They already have McDavid locked up.

Dude is playing for the Erie Otters, which is super close to Buffalo. They've played in Buffalo. The NHL desperately wants the Sabres to succeed.

Hm...sounds a little like 2005 draft to me.

yea what i mean is that he was using it as leverage against the city, Lemieux did not want the team to move though

any other owner though, would probably salivate at the prospect of moving the team and tapping a fresh market

it made sense

at the arena this year whenever they need to get the crowd fired up they just show the highlight of Dubi's goal. each time i watch it im even more amazed that fleury tried to play that puck.

I dunno. Low scoring is all cause the Wings can't seem to get that going. People were questioning their D and goaltending going into the season and that's been damn good.

I feel bad for him because you hate to see something like that happen to someone so young but don't care about the Jackets...sorry. :)

i have a feeling Malkin gets one tonight. he was close about 4 times last night and he either rang it off the bar or Emery stoned him

i'll tell you what, every time i watch Nyquist i like him more and more

super jealous, great player...his instincts are way ahead of his time

I stopped staying up for that shit a long time ago. Playoffs was a different thing. Had to stay awake and that was rough. 2010 and 2011 had Phoenix and SJ and then 2013 got the Ducks. Although had the son in 2011 so late games weren't as bad. Usually was awake for the endings, just didn't watch the first part of the games.. I was falling asleep during the 3rd of game 7.

I always tell myself it's absurd to stay up that late to watch an October hockey game and I turn it on while im falling asleep, next thing i know im downstairs on the couch ordering pizza during the 2nd intermission.
