Song Poster Series
The Warehouse just announced (in an email) a new song poster series. The first poster is based on Everyday.

Re: Song Poster Series
Phish is doing the same thing, some people speculated if these were designs meant for the 2020 summer tour.

Anyone get a foil?

Re: Song Poster Series
Really cool idea and I like the poster but I won't be buying one of these unless it blows me away. I bought two posters from the drive in and still haven't done anything with them.

Re: Song Poster Series
if they do dreaming tree, i'd probably buy that one. what was the cost on the rainbow one? i see the regular is $50.

Re: Song Poster Series
There’s 3 on eBay from $350-400 :lol

Re: Song Poster Series
Okay, seriously though: If you saw the poster design and had to guess what song it was based on, would you choose Everyday?
Love the idea. Weird start to the series. |
Re: Song Poster Series
Finally they take something from the Phish merch department. This one isn’t for me, and I’m not sure why you’d include lyrics and not put them on the front to be visible, but there’s major potential for some cool song prints that may be impossible to pass up.

Re: Song Poster Series
Lyrics on the back make no sense. Strange decision.

Re: Song Poster Series
What songs do you all love that you hope to see a poster for?
For me as long as the prints aren't atrocious, might look for Grey St., Raven, Big Eyed Fish, and Nancies |

Another chance for artists that had limited opportunities to produce prints in 2020 to get paid. |

If these were song inspired, this one does speak more to You & Me as someone mentioned, but I could the band/mgmt being aware of the ire of the song for many. So, maybe they chose another less triggering tune? I like the idea, especially for supporting the poster artists that have taken a massive hit for the last year too. If they have some intriguing and compelling designs for some of my favorite tunes, I might just have to beg my wife to buy one. |

I bet the popular artists will get the unpopular lyrics, and the songs most people want will be on ugly Methane prints.

Re: Song Poster Series
Everyday is a song my wife has actually come to love. She likes Flames, but the poster doesn't really embody the song...and as has been stated, the lyrics are hidden once it's framed.
To that end, I was trying to think if there are any DMB songs that speak of or to keys, be it directly or metaphorically. I couldn't think of any off the top of my head. Even a pandora's box kinda thing would have this making sense, but Everyday is certainly not one of those songs. To that end, it seems these will all have lyrics printed on the back, but the potential for little to no real connection to the actual tunes visually. I do remember one of the big artists doing a very cool polar bear poster that he teased during last summer that I've not seen since. Something like that would work with Dive In, although it was a healthy almost happy looking polar bear. Again, very cool idea. Love supporting the artists. |
Re: Song Poster Series
You do realize all these artists put out incredible work aside from gig prints, right? Don’t need a show poster to support artists.
