I thought he was good enough to steal the series against the Wings because the Wings were not solid defensively that year. Wings just took it to the next level and the entire Jackets team couldn't. Mason wasn't really at fault though. The next year though he and the team just imploded. It's too bad really cause I thought they were ready to take the next step. And by too bad, I mean for the organization, not for my team since they were in the same division.

the same craig adams that is a lynch-pin for the best PK in the league?

c'mon now...i know he's -11 on the year, but bylsma is a terrible matchup coach and adams is most definitely an asset

their worst players are the gibbons, megnas, kobasews, zolnierczyks and gocs of the world

Jesus, you people need to lighten up. Just having some fun trolling.

Of course Mason hasn't proven himself because he hasn't played a minute of playoff hockey. But after all the goaltending changes that the Flyers have made since Rmoan Chekmanek, I can assure you that most Flyers fans feel very confident with Mason in net. It's a new feeling, certainly--one that Flyers fans enjoy.

I think Mason will stand up to the test. If the Flyers can survive a round against the Pens with Bryz, they can survive one with Mason.

We'll see how well that pk does in the playoffs. Adams is awful. Adams can't clear the zone when he is on the pk. When his line is out there, they get no o-zone time and are consistently hemmed into the d-zone. Then he gets valuable minutes over guys that clearly outplay him, like megna and gibbons. There is no reason he should be getting time on the first line with Crosby over anyone. Its a joke. And lol at gibbons, megna and goc being worst. those guys actually have speed and can create.

it's much easier to "create" when you're out there with crosby every time

i'm just saying, you need guys like tanner glass especially, and adams to some degree, to win a cup

gibbons and megna do not belong on an NHL roster, at all...they've got heart and work ethic, i'll give them that...but that's all they have

and i agree about the minutes argument, but that's on bylsma, he better learn that it's ok to match lines, especially at home, or we're fucked

I think Fleury will be ok. It's actually the rest of the team, minus Crosby and Malkin, that I'd be worried about.

Just so weird looking back over the years. Starting in 97 until this year, the number of goalies they've gone through is just unreal.

well i'm glad you think so, because with the way the pens are constructed, the stars have to carry the team

and if you hadn't noticed, it's been 3 years since fleury, crosby, malkin or letang have actually showed up to play in the playoffs

edit: 4 for crosby and malkin, as they were out against the lightning

To think the likes of Robert Esche and Michael Leighton were the closest goalies out of those in the group to actually have a chance at winning a Cup is just baffling.
