Man the pregame for the Wings and Wild saying they pretty much had a deal in place for Suter but Parise and Suter's mom convinced him to come home. However Wings don't have Alfie prolly and with all the injuries he's been a great leader.

Alright Wings, I gotta go be a parent and go to Disney on Ice, so please win for me and pull ahead of the Jackets.

Back in the wild card spot! When the week started I thought the Wings needed to get 5 of the 8 points this week to stay alive. They got 6...not bad boys.

Jonathan Quick is the winningest goalie in King's history with a shutout against the Panthers this afternoon.

7-5 or 6-6 would have been fine on this 12 game stretch. And they could still do that. But 5-0 to start feels good.... (PIT, PIT, CHI, DAL, STL for those not keeping track.)

Flipped to the last couple minutes of the race to the bottom aka battle of Alberta. What the fuck? A knee jerk firing of someone is almost warranted after this shit show.

The Flyers are super crazy.

Listen, I don't think this team is a Cup contender. However, I'm getting a sniff of 2010 by watching this team. The Flyers can definitely make some noise in the playoffs. They are truly peaking at the right time. Their biggest problem is team defense. If they have their forwards committed to playing a full two way game, they will be deadly.

Followed that up with an 8-1 loss to the Flames last night. Fml, is it baseball season yet?

I didn't know it at the time but going to bed after the first period was the smartest thing I've done in a long time.

Just saw it on the NHL Network. Ugh...breaks my heart. He seemed to be happy after scoring it. I think I'd be sobbing like a little girl.

Massive road win last night. Picking up 5 of 6 pts on the Cali run is great and pretty unexpected, keeps them in the race for now

Reeeeeeeeally need some of y'all to start losing occasionally though :lol

Berube just talked about this a couple games ago. Good read from Sarah Baicker on it: http://www.csnphilly.com/flyers/skat...hank-forecheck

Glad to see Holtby play and seeming play well based on the boxscore. My fantasy playoffs are next week and the injury bug hit me at the wrong time so I'm hoping he gets some time next week. Halak hasn't exactly been great.

Unrelated, great game for Matt Stajan last night. Can't imagine what he's been going thru. We've been having some issues with my 8 year old lately as he's really been "testing the waters" and his listening has been bad and he got his worst report card ever this week and I feel my heart breaking a little bit lately with him as we try to get him back on track so I can't even imagine what Stajan has been going through.

should have backread first. Yeah. I was choked up just watching it, imagining what was going thru his head and what he teammates were saying to him. In the video, it looked like McGrattan had a few nice words for him, which is not surprising. The goons often times are the nicest guys off the ice.

Don't look now, but if the Pens can beat STL right now and the Hawks win tonight the Hawks will be 2 points back.
