They just put in these bright ass LED lights. Definitely makes the crowd look darker. Have me a headache the first preseason game.

I really should. I can't eat the food and I can't drink the beer. It's fun catching up with everyone though.

I understand why it's there cause teams would try to get around the cap, but this clearly isn't that. Because of that rule, he could die, and still count against the cap.

B's looked very good in the first period. Soderberg is going to be a beast this year, best player on the ice yesterday for the Bs. good to see Kelly get a goal. he's been battling injuries the last couple years and a lot of people think he's useless (especially at that cap number). I was saying i'd rather see him go than Boychuck, but it was good to see that last night. Dougie had a really bad game though..just looked lost

Excited for tonight. The healthiest the Wings have been in over a year, and that's with Datsyuk not playing. A tough first game for the Wings, but you might as well get going out of the gate.

not a fan of the b's having to play 7 games in 12 days and start on a back to back. good for the fans, but i imagine it's gotta be tough on the players

Stuff going on at the Garden? Better to have it now and the rest later though I'd think.

Expected the loss last night. Flyers played pretty well for the most part I thought. Mason was really good. Lost on a fluky-ish goal. Not upset in the least. Will be very upset if they don't come out hard again tonight though.

Just ordered center ice this morning. It's free for a couple weeks right now though.

for the people that pay for center ice, is it REALLY worth it?

my thinking is that i would have to be watching east coast and west coast games pretty much 7 days a week to make it worth it

i've never ordered it so i'm just wondering

Only reason I'd order it would be if I moved out of the Caps broadcast area. I know people out west who bought it, thought they would watch every NHL game ever, less than two weeks in it was reduced to only Caps games. I'm sure the idea of following the NHL that closely is appealing to some, but I barely have time to watch all 82 games for my team, much less anyone else's. Just my opinion though

That said if I ever do move I will order it in a heartbeat

oh yea, moving out of your home market is a game changer

i just mean from a following the league perspective, seems expensive unless you watch like a dozen games every week at least

I did some rough math yesterday. Subtracting the Bruins games that I would see anyways through national broadcasts I believe I'm paying around 2 bucks a game for each Bruins game. Which is worth it to me. Throw in being able to watch any other game I want and it is not a bad deal at all.
