It was an enjoyable game to watch. Blue Jackets seemed quite disinterested considering what was at stake today for them.

Season far from over but that's why the franchise is what it is. How do you not get up for this game? Now if Detroit wins tonight they are up 3 on you going into the game in Columbus on Tuesday. You can't let these kind of games get away.

I am now also a Devils fan tonight because another Leafs loss and the a Wings win moves them into the top wild card spot.

And it's 3-0 Devils. Yeah baby.

Well every point matters. Wings now in the top wild card spot cause the Leafs are beyond imploding. Hoping it's Wings and Jackets for those final two playoff spots.

I'm hoping it's not

All of a sudden the Caps are only one point with a game at hand on the Leafs...

:( CBJ :(

just ran out of gas.
I don't want to make excuses for them but I do feel the NHL scheduling was wildly unfair.

in the past two weeks CBJ has had to play back-to-backs against three different clubs who were off the night before.

Hell CBJ played @Montreal Thursday and then played a rangers team Friday that was off since Tuesday.

against they islanders yesterday was their 3rd game in 4 days and the isles hand't played since Tuesday. How do you get 5 days off at this time of year???

Going into the final strecht CBJ had 5 back to backs and the Rags had 1. I just don't get how that happens.

Ultimately they still suck though, losing to the canes and isles in the same week.
this franchise is dead.

Yeah you gotta win those games. I remember looking at the schedules and thinking the Jackets had it easier. Huge game tomorrow.

yeah it is a big game but CBJ looks like they're finished.
the NYR game was the last nail in the coffin.

Don't get down yet. A week ago I thought it was done after the Wings lost to the Hawks. Had the Leafs, Pens, and then Wild back to back. All playoff teams plus they had to go to a shootout to beat the Oilers a few days before. Things can change in a hurry. Look at the Lightning too. We were saying how bad they were playing and then they win 5 in a row.

I'm thinking getting a Nyquist jersey the way he's been going. 23 goals in I think 46 games. Leads the league in goals since January 20th.

This place is dead today. Nyquist named 1st start for last week. Big surprise there. Also Rutherford stepping down as GM after the year and Ron Francis will be your new GM.

Claude Giroux had better be named a HArt finalist when the end of the year comes, he has been on fire since his slow start. The award is Crosby's however. That douche

Damn, this thing I do once in a while called "work" got in the way today. I'll try not to let it happen again.

Let's make up for it with some shameless end of year award predictions. All my picks were carefully considered during boring commutes to and from work and not picked just from looking at a stats sheet. I am prepared to defend those picks if called upon.

Norris:
Drew Doughty
Duncan Keith
Shea Weber
Honorable mention: Suter, OEL, Fowler

Vezina:
Semyon Varlamov
Tuukka Rask
Ben Bishop
Honorable mention: BOBROVSKY, Ryan Miller

Selke:
Gabriel Landeskog
Patrice Bergeron
19! 19! 19! 19!
Honorable mention: Ryan Getzlaf, Brad Marchand, Mike Fisher

Calder:
Nathan MacKinnon
Ondrej Palat
Olli Maatta
Honorable mention: Tyler Johnson, Torey Krug, Ryan Murray, Sean Monahan

Adams:
Patrick Roy
Mike Babcock
Todd Richards
Honorable mention: Craig Berube, Ken Hitchcock, Bruce Boudreau

Hart:
Semyon Varlamov
Sidney Crosby
Ryan Getzlaf
Honorable mention: Claude Giroux, 19! 19! 19! 19!, Tuukka Rask

Yup, basically.

Only change I'd make is giving 19! 19! 19! 19! 19! the Selke.

Almost! And deservedly so. Was really hard leaving Dats out of the Selke running. Only reason was injury.
