#CBJ continue to talk w other teams re: Gaborik, perhaps waiting for top-end guys to go. Kings growing impatient, looking elsewhere too.

Full disclosure that guy is a total fl00b.

Portzline generally sucks huge donkey balls.

Perhaps some teams are waiting for prices to go down?

Got three hours. He will get moved. Moulson I think will too.

The problem is trading him.

He's already said he's not resigning anywhere. Even when trading for a rental, at least having the chance at negotiation is good. Vanek is a 100% guaranteed rental. Drives the price way down.

Matty I'm having trouble finding someone in Detroit to take down the Mule. Admittedly the only one I've asked is Tim via PM but he didn't even respond.

Would take him here. Got term left but most of the money has been paid. Of course price to get him is the question. I'd try to get rid of him.

Penguins kicking the tires on Vanek.

OF COURSE THEY ARE.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

Since November 7th (low point: 5-10-0), the Jackets have played 47 games, and are scoring at a 3.05 g/60 clip (including factoring in the extra minutes of OT/SO games). Without OT/SO game minutes factored in, it’s 3.09 goals per game. That’s a pretty big sample size, and Gaborik played in just seven of those games (eight if you count the few shifts he had against Philly in his first game back before breaking the collar bone).

I just hope he is gone by 3PM for anything.

Hmmm, I know he's around. Let me try Facebook.

Thanks for giving it a try. :thumbsup

My (and Matty's) mancrush on Cally has been well documented. He's a guy every team should be happy to have. That whole situation sucks for both sides.

MTL gets their goalie insurance in Dubnyk. Also furthering the idea that Brodeur will not get moved.

EDIT: Washington seems to be the only team that could use him, and if I'm them I'm pushing hard for Halak.

Very. He was on Team Canada over guys like Claude Giroux, Joe Thornton, Eric Staal, Tyler Seguin, etc.

He's old, but is a freaking hell of a playmaker. Used to play with Brad Richards as well down in Tampa. Won a Stanley Cup with him there.

That's a baaaaaad insurance policy.

Really wish the Oilers got more than a 3rd and a 5th for Hemsky. I also just hear that the St. Louis/Callahan is the first time in NHL history that 2 captains have been traded for each other.

Still surprises me Wings in on that. Maybe with Helm out now is why....
