just weird, to me and I've never been there. Got tix once to make the trek but then didn't and sold them. Wife was there in '02 right before we met (she is from Chicago). It's like something is missing.

Spac is weekend of wife's birthday so we might finally go there for the first time.

According to announcers, they took away Okposo's A now and given it to JT. 8 points in last 2 games. Someone is on fire.

yes JT = John Tavares. Nice back to back wins. Onto Colorado for Friday. That should be another win :cool

Ok, that's what I thought. What do you mean by "A"? As in on his sweater? Did JT lose the "C"?

And yes, all of a sudden I'm looking very much forward to the NYI game. :thumbsup

:D . No I had posted Okposo had 2 points again already tonight but then they took the Assist away from him and gave it to Tavares.

Well, you should always look foward to the NYI game. It usually means a win.

:lol gotcha. I was like "what in the world is Sal talking about?"

I'm a huge Tavares fan, and also like some of the young D on the Isles. Looking forward to the game :thumbsup

Big two points for the Flyers, but I can't believe they let NJ get a point.

^ I was at hockey so didn't see it live. I woulda been pissed more than I am had I seen it live.

That said, yes bad back door coverage, but hell of a pass by Zidlicky too. I'll give them some credit on that one.

Really starting to get frustrated at the lack of scoring from the Kings. And it's not that they aren't taking shots.

HallowBillies7 01-07-2014 08:49 PM

Just saw the replay of Hiller robbing Marchand, what a save!

And the Bruins are AWFUL during the 2nd period in every game it seems, I don't get it at all.

I wish the Olympics were here for no other reason than not having to listen to 30 million people question the decisions of the Hockey Canada brass. I just want to punch some people right now.

Oh, and the Oilers still suck ass in case anyone was wondering.

So I'm just sitting here playing XBox and my phone rings. It was Mike Haviland, head coach of the Hershey Bears and former head coach of the AC Boardwalk Bullies. He was also on the bench for the Blackhawks when they won the Cup in 2010 and talked about how coaching guys like Toews, Kane, Hossa, Keith, etc has given him a lot to work with in his second stint in the AHL. We had a great conversation about a story I plan on doing in a couple weeks since he hasn't been in AC since 2005. Definitely took me by surprise because I didn't know if I was gonna have access to him or not.

Not a big surprise here though, at least not to me. For all the reasons he mentions, as well as the fact that Canadian markets will give you at least a few, not all 7 are on that list.

sadly, absolutely no one was wondering.
What I do wonder is when certain non-terrible players start grumbling about a trade?

I have interviews lined up today with a couple Albany Devils and the coach for the rest of my story. The Haviland stuff is for next month when he comes in a second time. These types of stories hit home for me and I'm enjoying working on them.

That was great :thumbsup

Also loved one of the "Best of the Rest" moments when Phaneuf goes to scrap with Ruutu and falls on his ass before Ruutu even gets his gloves off. And of course Ruutu just skates away :lol
