Caps probably don't deserve the lead they've got. Strong goaltending getting them through at the moment. Ovie's gotta start finishing the breakaway chances. Those chances are too good to shoot wide every time.

Caps have played an okay road game so far, not great, but decent. Most of CBJs chances have been from the outside. Holtby needs to not get shook here and they could be okay. Had to expect a pushback, especially after a killed 5 on 3. If the Caps can settle and shut down the transition game, they could still get this done

Caps don’t get a real scoring chance in 3.5 minutes of power play (including some 5 on 3), then promptly give up the game tying goal. Sounds about right.

Caps got lucky with that powerplay for sure, but they've been pretty solid defensively still. This little skirmish in front of Holtby is one of the rare times that Jackets have gotten some action in Braden's crease. Late PK here, gonna carry over and the Jackets will get a fresh sheet with basically the full two minutes to get back in it. Big period coming up. Huge period for Ovie just there. Hopefully it won't be for naught.
