Do we have any Devils fans in here? Even when they are playing Chicago it is tough for me to watch because the NJ announcers are so irritating - the one guy is not too bad but the one who sounds like he is always shoveling food into his mouth is such a homer it has to even annoy Devils fans plus he knows the bare minimum about any player on other teams, half the time he cannot pronounce a last name a kindergartner could say correctly. If there are Devils fans in here how do you all deal with their telecasts?

I am watching PIT vs NJ and that voice just grates on me, I even tried my NHL.com subscription but I am blacked out because NJ is a local market for me, or so they have categorized it anyhow.

Believe or not that was the better of the 2 evils. Penns announcers are literally the worst. So so so bad

I completely agree actually. It’s Steve Mears’ (play-by-play) first year on the mic though so I’m hoping he’ll get better.

Mike Lange and Phil Borque are the best best but they got relegated to radio only which sucks.

It certainly would have been a fun series to watch, I was not trying to be a homer really I just thought both the Kings and Hawks had deeper teams than the Rags that year. Hell a Hawks/Rangers final almost happened the following year but you guys got shut out during game 7 of the ECF. I was torn because while I wanted the Rangers to beat the Lightning I would have been watching any Hawks/Rags final games solo (or at a bar) because unlike myself almost all my friends and family who like hockey switched to the Rangers when the Whalers skipped town.

Over under on the Jets winning their first ever playoff game this spring? If you include their days as the Altanta Trashers you are looking at a team who has not won a single playoff game since their inception in 1999.

^ I think they'll definitely win one. I think the real bet is over under 3.5 playoff wins? Obviously it'll depend on the match up.

But when the only thing your franchise can do is win meaningless regular season accolades like the Caps, what else can you expect? It’s not like he can talk shit in April or May. Now is his time.

How about them NY Rangers! Like the first showing of this new young Rangers team. They showed a lot a heart, played hard and fast, and scored 6 goals to get the W! They also forgot to play defense and let Hank face an insane amount of shots last night. I think I heard that it tied for the most amount of shots he has ever faced in his career. All of that said, it was a good start! That kid, Vladislav Namestnikov, we got from Tampa looks like lightning!....I'll see myself out....

Go Blues! lol At this point pretty much rooting for everyone except the Wings, Sens and Vegas. Philly keeps winning gets the Wings a 3rd rounder (or 2nd if they go to the final 4) and Vegas losing gets the Wings a better 1st rounder. Sens losing gets the Wings a better 2nd rounder. Last night I was anxious when the Wings were trying to tie it but happy it didn't go to OT. It's all very confusing emotionally.

Serious time, were on a crash course for some serious fire works round 1 for Metro playoffs. Any combo of Flyers/Penns/Caps in the first round is should be the most exciting playoff series

I think the Flyers would lose to the Caps in 6/7 and lose to the Penns in 5. But they would be fun games to watch.
