Great goalie or greatest goalie?

No doubt she was light years ahead of Goldberg. Big Goldy had a lot of charisma back there, but from a technical standpoint, it clearly should've been The Cat's crease the whole. Her athleticism, timing and her never give-up-on-the-puck attitude was simply a class above that which Goldberg could offer. And that glove. Oh, that glove. Gunner Stahl probably still has nightmares.

Absolutely. The decision to start Goldberg over Gaffney alone could have been grounds for dismissal, IMO.

Bombay's greatest talent was in unifying players. And even then, he relied a lot on Conway to do the grunt work.

When it came to actual on-ice strategy and game-time decisions, he was lacking.

Yep. Just like he said about Pat Riley, "the guy wins."

Recently watched Goon for the first time. It was great. Also recently showed the wife Mystery, Alaska for the first time. It was still as awesome as it always is.

Yeah, that is a pretty solid jersey, though I have never been a big fan of the 'collar tie' - love the captain markings on the sleeves, nice homage to the 101st airborne - who all wear their ranger tabs and their airborne qualification on the sleeves as well.

The new Panthers sweaters make them look like Team Czech Republic. Or like a European football club

Excellent analysis of the coaching decisions in The Mighty Ducks. Always remember, Ducks Fly Together.

Slap Shot (always Slap Shot)
Miracle
D2
The Mighty Ducks
Mystery, Alaska

I also really really enjoyed ESPN's 30 for 30 on the Red Army hockey team.

Hockey 30 for 30s have generally been very strong. The original about the Gretzky trade is still one of my favorites and I consider it highly underrated amongst the rest of that series

My favorite Herb quote isn't from the Disney-fied version. In a documentary Rizzo was telling what Herb said before the gold medal game. He came in and said "If you lose this game, you'll take it to your fucking graves." He started to leave and then stopped and turned and said "your fucking graves."

If they ever do a Mighty Ducks re-boot, and they use a real NHL coach, they're definitely going to pick Torts. :lol

Pretty sure two "fucks" and you can still slide under the PG-13 rules. They could've used it. Would've been epic.

There was a John Travolta scene in some movie where he says something like, "did you know that in a PG13 movie you can only say fuck twice? You know what I say? Fuck that." or something. Movie was rated PG13. No idea what it was called. That's how I know that.
