nah, they're still only 5 pts out of a playoff spot somehow. they have the same record they had at this time last year apparently. i don't really remember that.

should be fully healthy here in two weeks.

Bit of good news/bad news for Hawks fans. TvR, who has been an incredible surprise as a 5th defenseman, is out 2-3 months.

Adam Clendening recalled, however, and I've been high on him for a couple years now. I'm excited to see what he can do, but it sucks that it came at the expense of TvR. I hope Clendening can impress, and him and TvR become our 3rd pair.

I had so much fun watching the Rangers lose 5-1 on Monday I'm going back for more tonight!

The Metropolitan division is just not very good.

Except for the top 2 teams, you mean.

When 75% of the teams in a division have under a .500 winning percentage, it's safe to say the division isn't good. Two teams playing well doesn't change that.

Not even a little? I was at work and recorded the game so I haven't been able to talk to anyone about it yet. Plus very few people in Knoxville care.

thechad90000 11-19-2014 07:28 AM

They were just scoring at will. The first three shots of the 3rd period were goals.

thechad90000 11-19-2014 07:29 AM

15 Preds with a point

NHL to get rid of the the dry scrape before OT, which was a stupid idea to begin with.

They're also discussing adding 3 on 3 overtime which YES PLEASE. Man that'd be fun.

Calling it now. Rangers finish higher than the Islanders in the division lol.

NYR were in far worse shape last year.

Way to go out on a limb considering they went to the cup finals last year, have a top G, top payroll and were predicted by almost everyone to finish ahead of the Islanders.

That said, provided Tavares and Halak and the team stay relatively healthy, I am confident we can finish ahead of the Rag$.

Re: The NHL Thread

So if you guys could work in the NHL doing any position that exists except player what would it be and why?

Mine would be referee. I would want to be in a non-biased role (meaning not working for a particular team) so I could enjoy the league as a whole and not be singularly focused. Being able to still be on the ice would be amazing, not to mention having a direct impact on the game. Plus how fun would it be to travel to all the different cities and arenas and build relationships/reputations with the players and coaches around the league. Only ref though, not linesman. That sounds kinda boring.

Runner up would be TV commentator, preferably color.
