Yeah, we dread going, but we'll be there...as has become the usual. Still amazed we survived last year!

July in VA, it will either be raining or 95*. Or both.

I expect Mother Nature to fully live up to expectations this year.

May add this one but won't make the decision until it gets closer. Have the Candlewood Inn Suites booked for $100, best option down there from my experience. You can get to it from the back lot/road exit of the venue very easily.

It’s all about the front lot though!

Hope I'm able to make it this year. Will be flying back to DC earlier in the day. Should be able to get there if all goes according to plan!

Please, please no more hurricanes or monsoons this year. Also, hoping for a better set. This is probably my only show of the summer if I make it!

I worry that Charlotte will get a great set the night before...not unlike Raleigh did before VA Beach last year. Raliegh was a near perfect show (if you like the latest album, which we do) and VA Beach...well, not so much.

I keep thinking they'll do killer "hometown" sets, but so far it hasn't happened for us. No shit, mind you, but nothing great (let alone mind-blowing) yet. Well, maybe C-ville N2...

I'll be there. Disappointed they skipped Raleigh this year. I haven't seen the numbers but I feel like Raleigh sold out last year.

Oh well. It will be good to see everyone again.

Anyone have a copy of the 2019 Farmer's Almanac?

You don't have a choice but make it. It's a must fool!

13' 14' we're really decent IMO, 15' was pretty good. 12', 16' and 17' were, eh, fun?

Definitely excited to see everyone again. my last 2 dmb shows (bristow/cville) the hurriances followed me so hopefully we can break the streak this year.

Yeah, thought Raleigh was a lock after last summer. Bummer! Long drive from Charlotte to Bristow!

Oddly since we've been hitting Bristow, I've not used the WH to request tickets. So Ima wondering...

How has the draw been from WH requests? I'm a local...does that ever factor into the randomized selection/assignment process? The best seats we got for the fall tour were for Capital One, but that might have been more about lower demand...I don't freakin' know!

I haven't used WH, but I don't think I'd recommend it. There are more uppers in Jiffy Lube than any other shed. Huge chance they stick you with those. There are always several drops leading up to the show. The pit is one of the biggest of any shed, as well. I had no trouble getting Pit tickets last year.

Re: ***Official Bristow 2019***

What other shows are you going to and what seats are you trying to get for Bristow? If you're going anywhere else, don't waste WH request on Bristow, the place is huge.

*edit What Greg said

Are you suggesting that I have a better chance of getting tickets if I'm only requesting for less shows?

Because Bristow is so big, if you request through WH the chances are high that you'll get stuck with some less than desirable uppers, when really you could just snag those anytime via ticketmaster. so don't waste a request at this venue.

Now, i'm not a WH member so I'm not an end all by all expert, but I don't know if I've ever heard of someone getting great WH seats here. Others can definitely chime in

I haven't requested them in years. No need to. I requested the first few years and was always 300's. 10 year member now, and still wouldn't request. Pits are too easy.

My brother requested pit thru WH last year and got them. Got a pair of mid-pavilion in 2016, I think.

Need 6 pit tix, do we request 4 on an account and look for 2 more?
Do we request 4 and 2?
Do we not request at all?
Hearing mixed things based on size and demand

Hell yeah. Already trying to plan what I'm bringing. Obviously the lemon drop jello shots. And my cousins got me a bottle of Fireball for Christmas :lol I'll try to be more sober than I was at Cville. I'll avoid any bars beforehand. And at least Bristow will let me bring my Nalgene in.

Now, it could be that I've had an anomalous experience but I have gotten pit tickets at Bristow each time I requested them. I'm sure I'm playing Russian roulette at this point but I still plan on requesting at least two pit tickets this year through the WH. I got 4 last year and 2 the year before (or two years before... you know what I mean). The obvious downside is that you can only opt out of lawns so you could end up stuck with uppers that you are never going to get face and fees for. So I guess you've got to ask yourself one question, do I feel lucky? :p

Re: ***Official Bristow 2019***

I grew up seeing shows in the back rows of MSG, Meadowlands, Nassau, and Giants Stadium. So, for me EVERY seat in most sheds is a pretty good seat. At several of the sheds I've gone to over the years, sometimes the lawn sounds better...making the only advantage of seats or close seats just being closer to the action. I get that with plays and sporting events, but it's not really a concern with music for me.

I don't begrudge anyone, but I'm amazed at how even people with great seats are always looking for pits or better seats. We got all we requested for the Fall tour and it was a dream not having to worry at all about trying to find tickets. Sure we paid more than some folks and had to take a bit of a hit on one of our MSG N1 pairs, but even our nosebleeds @ C-ville N2 were great. Surrounded by a bunch of singing and dancing DMB loving fools. These are my people!!

Bristow lawn is like SPAC lawn. Underage drunks, which is not fun.

Yeah, no kidding. Deciding whether or not to go this year. Weather claimed our car last year, still have a bad taste in our mouth after that experience.
