Cheap skate goal sunk the game. At least that was the first bad goal of the series. |
Re: The NHL Thread
those progressive commercials of unbecoming your parents are in too many spots.

Re: The NHL Thread
Missed everything except the last 10 minutes. Can’t wait to watch the replay! Even series and Igor Shesterkin’s first playoff win of hopefully many!

Re: The NHL Thread
Wayne Gretzky said Florida is playing “smart hockey”
That is wrong. Florida is playing opportunistic hockey. The Caps have carried play for almost the entirety of the game tonight. I guess the lightning/leafs should rest east knowing after they destroy each other the winner gets the terrible-can-barely-hang-with-the-shitty-caps Panthers Tom Wilson loss huuuuuuurts Playoff OT should always be continuous 5 on 5 periods. What in the world Miss y’all <3 |

Re: The NHL Thread
I see Igor went to the same acting school as Henrik. What a flop at the end.
As of now, i kinda think we are on a crash course for a repeat of ‘96. |

You literally root for a team with the biggest crybaby in the history of hockey :rolleyes The ESPN announcers were predictably idiotic last night. Igor played the puck and then had to avoid his own player and turned right into that collison with Carter. He had no time to react or initiate any contact on purpose. I do think it was an accident by Carter as well, but a Knee-on-knee is a penalty regardless of if a goalie is involved. I am also guessing you and everyone calling him "acting" have never actually played hockey and been hit knee-on-knee. I have and it hurts like a B**CH for several minutes or results in injury. Figure it out bud. |
Re: The NHL Thread
Ah. Playoff posting. Nothing like it.
Edit: Yes, I do know what the playoffs are before anyone asks. |

The goalie interference non-goal was a closer call than either of the above and you don't see me crying about that. ;) |

Also, it was pretty clearly a headshot. Dude left his feet and elbow hit him in the head. The rags were running people all period one that game. |

As for the bold, I will tone it down. I admit that posting on twitter, tiktok and youtube can bleed over to this forum in intensity and toxicity. My point was that it does frustrate me how many people are saying he was acting or flopping. I have legitimately been hit knee-on-knee on more than one occasion and it stings like crazy. I do remember being on the ground for several minutes like Shesterkin was there. I really don't think Carter or Igor did that on purpose. I am not really sure why Pens fans seem so triggered by Igor being in pain on the ice for a few minutes. The penalty was already called well before he got up...so what was to be gained. A man can be in pain sometimes, this is hockey. So far I have agreed with the officiating in this series. Even the called back goal in game 1 (there is definitely an argument for good goal, but if I put my self in the other position and the Pens scored that way against NY and it stood I would have been pissed, so that is why I think the call was a good one). The 3 plays we have talked about have all been close, but I think they got it right each time. |

Boomer let it slip today on his morning show that Barclay Goodrow has a broken foot and is likely out for the playoffs. That is a big loss in leadership from a guy who just won back-to-back cups. |
