Not that it makes the slightest bit of difference when chatting sports (lord knows I could never hit a curveball worth a damn but I am an expert in dissecting how players swing through them!:lol) but it would be interesting to know how many of in here skate, skated, played hockey, etc, etc. There are probably more capable skaters than you would think in here.

best wishes and congratulations to Sarah, I am deeply hoping Dustin gives a speech in which he once again solidifies that Jamie Benn is not a center.

I have a terrible arm. They put me at SS in gym class and while I made the throw every time on target it was just barely...

I'm 33 now. 34 this year and I picked up hockey at 30. I've accepted the title of the worst Canadian in the world already, so no need to pile on.
My god, if scoring a goal and having all your linemates jump you in celebration is not the most fun thing, I don't know what is.

I was an OK skater when I played ice hockey growing up... but I was a goalie. :lol

Re: The NHL Thread

I played street and roller hockey from age 8-29.5. Then played ice from 29.5 to 34. Haven't played on a team in over two year now. #sad

I deeply miss playing. But I don't have the time, the equipment nor am I in near enough shape to enjoy it sadly. Working on that last part at least.

Brenden Dillon to the Caps

Caps have been god awful on defense recently - they will be very active I would think

First time I ever used a circular saw to build a net was when I was in like 4th grade. Where were our parents?:lorraine

in high school I made an awesome net. Even had metal fencing for the netting. We left it down by the curb one night and the next day the garbage man threw it away...:lorraine:lorraine

Love the way the pens are playing. Currently in first, after being 14 points out in december. With all the injuries they have strung together quite an impressive season

Only if you want to stay "un-banned" on this fledgling site!!! (Anyone else notice it's pretty quiet around here; not just this thread but as a lurker elsewhere.)

So with that: Happy Birstday Sar Uh.

(Also, John, I creepily stalked your FB page (and friended you: I thought we were already?) and noticed that you and I have the same Star Wars custom shirt for our kid(s). Clutch shirt.)

Vilardi scores his first NHL goal just 7 seconds into his first shift, becoming a new record. Pretty cool!

There's been 4 goals in the first 3 and a half minutes in the Bruins/Calgary game. Crazy.

Well the Caps might be a dumpster fire at the moment, but Ovechkin just notched his 700th goal!
