Surprised my buddy with a trip to C\'ville after the DC show the night before. Got him to take me all the way back to the airport on Friday afternoon before telling him we were going to the 2-nighter in DMB\'s hometown! Volunteered with REVERB to get free tickets to both shows. Enjoyed a tour of the Rockbridge Guitar shop, and got to see Brian Calhoun again. Highlights were my first full-band Say Goodbye, Digging a Ditch, She, Ants w/ Preservation Hall, and of course the encore closers of Two Step -> Halloween!

Usually the last one is always the best, but this was much more than that. Another religious experience.

While the setlist was "safe" the show was great. Lawlor, John D'earth and Preservation Hall brought it, and it's hard to argue with Halloween -> Two Step

I\'ve seen my fair share of shows and this one ranks up there. Great Warehouse/Jane combo to get everybody going. Wish they would have thrown Kill The King in the set in place of YMDT or Bayou N1 but that\'s my one and only gripe. Good choice of slow downs tonight with Ditch and Here On Out. Fantastic guest appearances on Jimi Thing, Rhyme, and Ants. Best case scenario repeat (if there\'s going to be one) Christmas Song into debut Two Step>>Halloween. Summer dates for 19 can\'t come soon enough. See you on the road!

A helluva show. Great opener, ridiculous encore, and everything in between hit the spot. This was my all-time best Halloween experience. I\'ll never forget how awesome Two Step> Halloween made me feel. A great overall weekend and roadtrip. Danny and I hit two breweries and the Monticello tour. Both nights were were in back of the first section of seats.

My son's first show. He lost his mind when Burning Down the House started up. I lost mine for Halloween

I was expecting no repeats from DC for both nights, but of course there were repeats. But care, I did not (channeling Yoda). Out of all the songs they could\\\\\\\'ve played, they picked some really nice ones and despite me being in Uppers tonight and Pit last night, they seemed like they had even more energy from the night before. I got my first Burning Down The House which was awesome to say the least! Other Highlights include STJL, DYR, Crush, Say Goodbye, Can\\\\\\\'t Stop (I\\\\\\\'m coming around to the new version), Rhyme and Reason (love Lawlor), LIOG, Jimi Thing (Thank you John for playing Happy Birthday to Tim!), Here On Out, Preservation Hall Jazz Band on Ants (and Ants itself), Christmas Song, and finally TWO STEP WITH A SEGUE INTO HALLOWEEN!! I think that was the best Halloween I\\\\\\\'ve heard especially since it was such a shock with a segue from Two Step, totally unexpected. I really hope this is released as a Live Trax soon!

Very, very good show. Three guests with preservation hall jazz band going nuts on ants. WH opener, LIOG, rhyme n reason with lawlor, excellent jimi with d'earth, and two step with jam skipped/switch into Halloween to close. They had one repeat from N1, Christmas Song (im a fan). Well worth the trip for sure

A night of ups and downs set-wise for me, but great energy with Preservation Hall in Ants and hard to complain at ALL about that encore. Was a great way to wrap up the trip to Cville after a great day of fun.

Show #36 and it was the best one yet!! Finally got to DMB Mecca after 15 years of shows and it was well worth the travel from Chicago. Ants Marching with Preservation was epic and the Two Step into Halloween closer was unreal (just like it was at Alpine). The crowd energy in their hometown is hard to beat and everyone was so friendly and upbeat. I will definitely be making the trip to C-Ville again! Thanks DMB for a great show and 2018!

Night 1 was amazing, night two was incredible opening with Warehouse. Although I was on the floor for night 1, night 2 was right behind the soundboard so I got to see Dave’s family which was kinda cool!

Solid show. Just when I thought dmb had lost their mojo, they came out strong and ready to prove they can still crush it. Miss Boyd but Bobby is a great addition to the band. Tim is still a little squeaky in my opinion but joe lauer is a true guitar god. Highlights for me were crush, jimi thing, and two step>Halloween. Thank you Dave

One of the best shows I've been to. Crowd and band energy was phenomenal from the start. Love the new Warehouse intro that is pretty common now. Crush, Die Trying, Say Goodbye so much fun. Loved Ants w/ PHJB! And will never forget the epic Two Step into Halloween encore!

Was looking for some other rarities, but it’s not fair to call a show with an 11-man Ants, rockin’ Rhyme and Reason, and tour debut Two-Dtep into tour debut Halloween anything but epic.

The best version of Ants I’ve ever seen, Rhyme and Reason w/ Lawlor always rocks, Jimi w/ D’Earth was amazing and then the encore .... come on. Christmas Song (which I don’t care if they play it every night, I love it), Two Step (which was quick so knew there was one more to follow) and then to close w/ Halloween which just rocked the joint. Energy was awesome, having the jazz compliments sent it over the top. Sure you could hear the Boyd-less parts but I left a happy camper. Awesome poster too. Nice job boys
