Show #50 for me! Met Raab and he sat with us for a couple songs. The setlist was great, energy great, backdrop with the city is really cool. The venue though..ugh...please stop playing here. Its a parking lot with seats. Alpine is calling in 2018!

Such a great show! Summertime Chicago, beautiful weather. setlist was my personal favorite of the two days. You Might Die Trying, When the Word Ends, The Stone, and Everyday were my top songs for sure!

Another drive down the Highway to Hell in Chicago. If there is a worse venue than The Huntingtown Bank Pavilion I don\\\\\\\'t want to know about it. Even the people who work there have no idea how their parking works. One lot is closed for repaving, another is VIP (which is a mystery to everyone) and they directed the rest of us in the Soldier Field ramp like leading unsuspecting cattle to slaughter. No tailgating is allowed anywhere despite it being the grounds for an NFL team (a poor NFL team, but an NFL team nonetheless). Despite the ban on tailgating, we were going to try to set up shop in the ramp and other people had the same idea. Unfortunately, there was old man river type employee sent around on a golf cart to discourage such activities. After being berated by this employee on one of many laps around on his golf cart, we decided to take our party elsewhere. We ended up putting a bunch of food and drink in a garbage bag and carrying it to a nearby grassy area like a couple of common hobos. This ended up working pretty well because no one really bothered us after that. There was someone nearby with a loud mouth regaling everyone with his tales of hearing the very first performance of Gravedigger (his account proved to be inaccurate) and the crazy time he had smoking drugs once. We got into the venue and found our seats. It is worth noting that there were three cue balls in front of us who were less interested in the music and more interested in bro time. One of them, defying the very laws of nature, seemed to somehow lack a forehead. Next to them was an older gentleman enjoying the effects of marijuana use and continuously rubbing his girlfriend\\\\\\\'s lady parts. The show itself was nothing to complain about. Plenty of classics and a few undesired songs. Dave kept mentioning how good the crowd was but it seemed dead to me. Maybe it was just the section by us. We made our way out of the venue at the end of the show and made sure to run over old man river on the way out of the ramp (not really).

Perfect weather, smelled great, solid show! Banter seemed a bit forced at times but the Windy City rant was comical. Felt like Dave took it easy on the vocals at times and there was a slip-up or two with song forms it seemed but still a great show!

This was my first Dave and Tim show, and I was lucky enough to have seats in the pavilion, so I could actually see the stage. Unless you have a severe case of FOMO I would never go back to this venue unless I did have pavilion tickets. I have no idea how you could actually see the stage from the lawn as it appeared just from walking around before the show the seats themselves would block any view you\'d possibly have of the stage from the lawn. As for the concert itself for me the highlights were Tim\'s 2 songs, Watchtower, BOWA, Rapunzel, Minarets, and Nancies. Watchtower had every bit the intensity you\'d find with the entire band which blew me away. I was hoping to hear Halloween as a closer so when they started with Ants (a song that I\'ve seen as a closer more times than anything else) I felt a little let down however it felt like they really were into it this time rather than going through the motions with it at other shows I\'ve seen.

Sound was MUCH better this night, but I was also in the center, in the 200\\\'s and not off to the left in the 300\\\'s. I could\\\'ve done without a few songs personally, but for the most part, this was another excellent showing from D&T. My 4th time seeing them and hopefully not the last! Highlights were Best of What\'s Around, The Stone & Rapunzel.

Bartender, Granny, Billies, Too Much, Nancies, BOWA.... No double encore? Called Some Devil, Crash, Ants - was hoping for LIOG reprise, Pig, Halloween but still a really awesome time.

Good show! Dave energy was really up tonight. Crowd was into it where we were. Venue isn\\\'t as bad as some say, but yes, lets hope for Alpine next year. Stone and BOWA highlights for me. Lowlights was the Crash Ants encore. Seemed too much like a 2 hit wonder band that had to play 2 hits at the end. Spoiled by great seats make me never want to cheapskate my way for another show again.

Great energy and set list. A few really strong runs in the show including the opening run from Little Thing through So Much To Say and the closing run (before encore) from Everyday through Dancing Nancies. Highlight for me was Best of What\'s Around. Also enjoyed the Tim solos from this night more than Night 1.

This doesn\\\\\\\'t come around often! Great set list but what D&T show isn\\\\\\\'t? I read a review from a Chicago person who finished with \\\\\\\"bring back Alpine\\\\\\\". Someone who hasn\\\\\\\'t attended a show for 7 years. You missed many of them my friend. Don\\\\\\\'t complain because you couldn\\\\\\\'t make it for 7 years. Sound is always disappointing at Northerly unless maybe when you are dead center. Notice the lack of speakers. Yes that\\\\\\\'s hard to accept but remember it\\\\\\\'s a huge pop up uncovered venue on an kinda island. And you are attending a two guys 1 stool show. You should know that its going to be less sound than what you get from the great amphitheaters (Alpine is the GOAT). Add to all of that it\'s mid June...late sunset doesn\'t help. Word is they will make the island a permanent amphitheater for 2019. Stay off the lawn here and ask a local for suggestions on driving in and parking. It\\\\\\\'s no different than every downtown Chi event. Enjoy the scenery while you walk there! Take a seat but don\\\\\\\'t sit down. Dance your ass off and sing only what you know! My highlights...N1 Lie, Dive, Stay or Leave, Bismarck, Cop, DDtW. N2 BT, Granny, Stone, Devil, Nancies. One More Drink and My Grace is Gone

Better than the first night, but again this venue is terrible. $7.50 for a bottle of water, a 2 mile walk before you can even contemplate getting an Uber/Taxi, death-defying gauntlet of insane pedi-cab drivers along the way, a lawn section where you're better off watching previous shows on your phone in a park somewhere. Completely level seating ensures anyone with a seat under 6' tall will be staring at the back of someone's head or the projector screen the entire night. Bring Back Alpine Valley!!

Great set list! Dave was on point and sounded great again. Venue is not the best and the crowd and the talking is out of control. Socialize at a bar. Concert itself was five star.
