The story before Samurai Cop was hilarious. I snuck down to about 20th row for nearly the whole set. For the encore I was 8th row and the second encore was 3rd. Check for pics I took. This was the terrible hotel experience (averted) in Birmingham.

So awesome. The rain held off until the very end and it made it even more magical

My first Dave and Tim show. Really, really enjoyed it. Rain held off until So Damn Lucky/Nancies but most certainly did not put a damper on the evening. Most of it was probably more standard D&T fare, but it was refreshing hearing even some songs I tend to roll my eyes with in full band setting, such as Grey Street. I enjoyed the newer cuts Samurai Cop (great dave speak about the name) and Virginia as it was my first time hearing those. The only true dud for me was You and Me. Especially enjoyed Warehouse, mid-set Two Step, Graves, Granny, Nancies, and What Would You Say. Glad they kept up with the double encores! LIOG Reprise was a fun ending

First time at Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, and it was a nice place for such an intimate experience... not a bad seat in the house from a visual and acoustic standpoint. The setlist started strong with some old favorites, but the crowd was a bit thin, probably due to threats of rain, and I couldn't tell if Dave was "feelin' it" or not. Come to find out, he was feeling a bit under the weather and was on, in his words, "every kind of allergy medicine", so he "lost his mind" a few times. For most of us, this was a good thing, and providing plenty of entertaining Davespeak. The guys hit their stride during Jimi Thing with a funky, grooving jam and never looked back. The rest of the night was chock-full of old favorites, with a smattering of fun new tunes (e.g. Samurai, Virginia in the Rain) and, for some reason, The Space Between. Even this usual snoozer had a fun moment at the end, though, as Dave and Tim were fading out and Dave lost track of the lyrics. The crowd swelled, and Dave took the opportunity as cover and just stopped playing. He looked over at Tim and shrugged, and Tim let whatever chord he had strummed ring out into the cheers. Tim's solos were both brief and rock-heavy, which was nice, and we got great jams on Jimi, Warehouse, Two Step, LIOG (with the reprise conspicuously absent), and Nancies. SOLID SET! Then, the encore started with Crash... eh... Funny the Way It Is wasn't much more exciting, as this tune has always been too formulaic for me. Plus, the rain started to pick up by this time, and my wife was getting *ants*y to leave. What Would You Say saved the encore for me, as this has been one of my favorite D+T numbers since Live @ Luther. Then the guys gave their waves and sauntered off stage. My wife was tugging at my arm telling me it was time to go. She was wet and tired. But the house lights hadn't come up yet, and the crowd was getting any quieter. She waved the car keys at me, and said, "I'm leaving...", but I stayed planted. I couldn't bear the thought of missing the shot at my first double-encore. The rain picked up a bit more, and so did the noise of the crowd. A roadie came out with a fresh guitar, and the crowd erupted. A moment more and... BOOM! Dave and Tim were strolling back on stage. TOTAL FREAKOUT!!! The night was capped with one of my top five favorites - Grace - and the Reprise of LIOG from more than an hour earlier. It was the bow on top of a stellar night! *Note: this show was probably a 4.5 for me, and the only thing keeping it from a 5 is that I was at the Las Vegas run in 2010, and any D+T show would be hard-pressed to compare to the feeling of those three nights. Still, a night that I will not soon forget!

First Dave and Tim experience. With all the rain at the end I thought we might\\\'ve gotten lucky with JTR.

So good seeing Dave and Tim. First time seeing them for a full show (saw them at the Bridge School Benefit a few years ago). Tim played amazing solos, especially on LIOG and #41. Dave was having a great time and said so multiple times during the night. The rain made both encores really cool.

Dave in my backyard is always awesome - this was a special night, first night of the US D&T tour and was able to get all three of my kids and wife to join me... highlight of the night for me as dancing nancies and the LIOG reprise at the very end in the rain... such a small intimate venue , felt like a private dave show. Keep showing alabama lovE!

Favorites had to be Nancies and Grace. Those versions on acoustic just bring something a little extra. Wonderful show!

Good show! Fantastic time! Nothing rare really played during the show but nothing bad also. It seemed like classic after classic song. Hardcore fans could appreciate this show as well as casual fans. Every performance was excellent as well.
