Overall not a terrible show. But why would you play a much lesser show when you only have one show in the state of North Carolina? I enjoyed the Squirm and So Right opener. Dive in to start the encore was a plus as well. Overall,, it\\\'s very disappointing because of the regularity of the show. DDTW and billies were also good.

Memorial Day 2016 kicks off properly in Western North Carolina as the DMB returns to the PNC music Pavilion in Charlotte NC. I made the long trek down from Northern VA for the occasion, no place on the planet that I would rather be to start the summer. A beautiful evening weather wise as SQUIRM makes its first appearance of the tour, SO RIGHT also debut’s; a rarely played upbeat track off everyday. The show really gets cranked up a notch as the first notes of SEEK UP emerge as the sun begins to go down, absolutely spellbinding, hypnotic, twisting and all you would want out of a SEEK UP, the perfect spot for this one tonight. Another big hitter in the clean-up spot as WAREHOUSE follows and rocks the socks off the place, this show is really strong. SAMURAI COP gets the venue back into the “S” vibe . 6/7 songs began with the letter S. Samurai is gorgeous; an incredibly beautiful song…JOY had begun for the last 40 minutes. Next up was SEVEN, ugghhh followed by the always beautiful STAY OR LEAVE. IF ONLY provided a good spot for a bathroom break and the show got rolling again, the rocking ROOFTOP, the haunting, splendid, darkness of BEF right into the jubilant BISMARK, this new one is really growing on me also. DDTW into the rare PROUD MONKEY, soothing, flowing and grooving and thankfully dropped right into CRASH a gorgeous crash highlighted the night as the band was walking together throughout Dixie land. Bob LAW followed and dropped into a sing & dance joy fest of DANCING NANCIES, the set ended on RAPUNZEL. WOW, this show was extremely strong, it flowed well, had tremendous energy, really solid setlist. If things could get any better the encore was grade “A” The Memorial day beach song of diving into an empty ocean was the perfect encore followed up by a Billies all out crack fest. Charlotte2016 was a rager…I did see Atlanta the following night, and Charlotte was a much stronger cup of punch.

Second show in the "pit" area. First was Duluth winter show in 2012. Very open pit. Definitely a lot of space to move around. Everyone was very respectful of each others's space. Pretty chill pit experience. Seen squirm open up a few shows. Brings some high energy. Not terribly upset to see it. So right is one of my favorites. Very excited to have gotten this one. Seek up and Warehouse are always welcome. Can't complain about these. Samurai cop keeps getting better and better with each performance. Definitely dig all of the new songs. Seven - don't hate it. But I am personally over seeing it at a live show. Stay or leave really brought the crowd back into the show after s. cop and 7. Unfortunately they followed this up with a snooooooozer. Very over hearing If only live. Drops the energy level sooooo significantly. Rooftop and BEF are always welcome. Started to bring the energy back up. Then a new song - bismarck - sort of leveled off the energy, despite being a great song. DDTW always brings the energy. Always welcome at shows. Really thought we had a Last Stop lined up here. Sort of disappointed I wasn't able to see it this weekend. Proudest monkey is one for the more hardcore fans. Always a good song, despite being a bit slower. Timmy, Rashawn and Jeff all crushed it. Very unexpected to hear it go into Crash into me. In fact, very surprising to hear crash at three straight shows. Bob Law - cool song. Good to hear once live. Nancies, always fun. Brought the energy back. PNP-Rapunzel always welcome as well. Don't love it closing, but it is what it is. Dive in. They've really worked on this one since it was last in rotation. I dig the new little jam they go into before the final chorus. Very glad I was able to catch this one. Billies. Don't need to say anything here. Overall good show. I think I ranked it +13, despite not hearing some of the songs I was hoping to hear. Pretty solid set. Don't love seven or if only. Would have traded a lot of this show to hear a last stop, bartender, stone, etc. But overall a pretty solid show. "Above average" at best.

Nice to see Squiem as the Opener. Would have liked another song in the encore, but were hitting up against curfew at venue.

Decent show. They played well, just on the mild side for the most part. Seek Up --> Warehouse was awesome

Ehh, not the best I've ever seen. Hoping for a lot more for my 40th show, but there's no such thing as a bad DMB show :)

drove up from birmingham and due to the time change slid in two wheels in the air at 8PM - got to our seats just in time for Squirm - my 69th show (69 lol!) and very first time to Charlotte. Impressed by the size of PNC - crowd had to be 20,000 strong (willing to punch it out) great energy around the venue and from the band. Everyone was very very drunk but in a good way. I was happy to get tripping billies, so right, and big eyed fish. Glad this show wasn\\\'t cancelle due to the NC laws. On to Atlanta!

I liked the selection of the songs, although only a few got the crowd going. Even the new ones are growing on me. Enjoyed the show, can't wait until my next one!

Show was overall decent. The new songs were cool to hear as well as the classics. Boyd was on fire all night, really kept the energy up. Crowd was decent. Encore was a little weak but oh well can't all be perfect. It was a middle of the pack show. After 15 shows I finally got my first seek up!! It was great. See you guys in Indiana

First four songs were really good. Tour debuts for the first two you didn\'t know what to expect. I like the new songs, Bismarck is really good. I like Crash after Proudest Monkey that was a nice surprise. Dancing Nancies is one of my favorites and got it for the 1st time in 9 shows. Rapunzel was really on point with the jam at the end. Dive In sounds the best it ever has with the new jam at the end. Great show love the variety. My only criticism are the snobby fans who complain the whole time and sit down during the new songs and even Proudest Monkey, stay home next time!

never review...I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ve seen more shows than I can count. This set list was right on for all that\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s going on politically in our country but more specifically what has transpired locally with HB2...they nailed it. It felt like a very calculated set list in the best way possible. I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'m so thankful to be a fan of this band. Great set fellas..from a veteran fan.

My dad got creative and went a “back way” that caused us to miss the first 3 songs. A lot of repeats from other shows I attended that tour. I never want to hear Seven again. Awesome seats though, great crowd except the super drunk chick beside me who stayed bent over in her purse almost the entire time with her ass violating me. The show got better as the night progressed, but the encore was a letdown. The Charlottesville opener (THE LAST STOP, PEOPLE) was the absolute best DMB show I’ve been to, and the rest of the shows in 2016 paled in comparison (Bristow especially). I took another star off because the next night in Atlanta they played the 3 songs I’ve been chasing more than any others, all in one show- Minarets, Raven, AND Halloween. And I was supposed to go but that morning had to back out. Ugh.

Solid set from the boys. Nothing that really makes this show stand out, but solid nonetheless. New songs sounded great. Squirm and So Right to open were awesome. Quick venue notes: for the second year in a row it took an hour and a half to get out of the parking lots; way too many rude people on the lawn that didn\'t even watch half the show.
