Overall, good show - got a little lackluster in the middle - dave's vocals were a little off, but show 35 was good to me, my wife and baby boy arriving in early 2016

Herbie Hancock! So fantastic and a great treat! We were on our honeymoon, spent the week in Laguna Beach. Next day drove to Phoenix, my hometown to finish the tour and our honeymoon.

Loved the acoustic set! Electric set was going strong until Herbie Hancock came out. He killed the momentum. He sounded terrible. Sure he's a legend , but he should have just signed autographs in the parking lot. Encore saved it.

Herbie wasn't the best addition to the show, but fun otherwise!

Had a fun time, but then again I always do. Herbie made Spaceman a little awkward, sounded off. He was good on WWYS though.

After his first song Herbie Hancock sucked the momentum out of the show with the other three songs.

WH premium seats were awesome.mi am glad I elected seats over Pit at Irvine bc the pit is so small there and we were at eye level with Dave just above pit heads..... Sound was awesome here.. While it was a repeat, I was happy with death...sea opener and it had been many years since Butterfly at Chula..it was hard integrating Herbie into the set, i mean you cant blame him as these are not his songs, even though he did have sheet music....Mercy was basicaly over when they set Herbie up and he rambled off-melodies for another 5 minutes.... Carter definitely kept it together.... stephan's face showed the labor of trying to keep the tempo....took a while to get back into it, but WWYS was really good. Two step was great as Boyd started strumming very early and so it would be a great soundboard song to hear someday ( tapers may not catch it as it was really loud during the transition). Minarets and Kill the Preacher tease were great. For Irvine, it was a good set. 3.5 stars..

Amazing, sad that they are tearing down own local amphitheatre. Hollywood Bowl is better anyways.

A super solid show. The acoustic set was amazing..almost as good as Gorge N3 last week. Herbie was great on WWYS on the keytar, but things kind of dragged on the other three songs. Full props to the band for somehow getting Captain back from Herbie's meandering, and figuring out a way to end it. The encore was off the charts!! I love this venue - lots of room in the seats to dance! You just have to know how to navigate the parking lot...that can be a nightmare. Hopefully that's not it for Irvine - word is they're tearing it down. Seven shows this year and already can't wait for next year.

This was a great 2 part show, from standing in the PIT. I loved So Right, Crush, Warehouse (the finale), YMDT, Digging a Ditch, WWYS, Mercy, Belly Belly Nice, Why I Am, and as always, Two Step.

Very strange setlist, but can't complain. They came out firing on all cylinders and absolutely crushed everything, even the songs you didn't want them to play. Lover Lay Down, Captain, and So Right were nice little treats and Herbie Hancock was a phenomenal guest. What Would You Say with Herbie on Keytar is an all time live track. The encore was absolute fire too.

almost gave this show a 5, my 55th since 01 just because of the crazy encore which was the best i have ever seen, now for the rest of show, disappointed, c'mon Dave you dont need to open show on the piano with the same boring song doths as the night before especially when your special guest plays duh! the piano! nice run in acoustic starting with OSW, would have preferred two step and billies in the electric, would have loved to hear dido, pig, bartender, songs like belly, seven, mercy, spaceman can be dumped forever, except for wwys, herbie on the keys was out of tune song choices were lame, encore saved it, thank God, no lunch ladies although lbv would have been cool or bowa

Great crowd in California! Cool to see Herbie Hancock play and the band figuring out how to manoeuvre around his extended solos that may have been in a different key at times.

After 17 years of seeing this band perform live, I am still never disappointed. I was excited to see many songs from Remember Two Things, played live, and generally older songs played throughout the show, including in the encore set. Also, old classics like Two Step and Lover Lay Down featured completely new and different jam sections. And really, Herbie Hancock made this show. So great to watch this jazz LEGEND play live with the boys. Herbie also sat in for a few songs at the first DMB show I saw back in '98 at Nissan Pavilion, so that brought back so nostalgia for me. Great show, surprising set list and song choices throughout (as far as I'm concerned). After 24 years together, this band continues to mix it up, break new ground, and get better. Five stars.

The acoustic set was awesome...OSW, Two Step, Lover Lay Down, Granny, all incredible. Fierce Minarets to start the electric. BBN into Seven rocked. WWYS with Herbie Hancock was fun. The set did lose a little momentum during Herbie's three songs but it was entertaining for what it was. Might have been a 4 star show but the encore kicked it up a notch. Jane, Nancies, Warehouse were outstanding to close it out. Nice to know that after 25 years the band can still turn out this type of quality show. I know the odds are pretty long against an Irvine show getting the Live Trax treatment but I would love to see this one released. One of the best I've seen.

lots of gems! best CA show of the year (irvine has held this award since 2010, FYI). herbie added some very unique sounds to a dmb show, which is always welcomed these days. loved boyd and dave sharing the same mic on acoustic granny, loved death on the high seas opener, loved the encore. only low point was BBN > Seven, but every show has songs that you can't avoid, and we avoided lots of them (shake me, you and me, sister, etc.)
