Overall, DMB was killing it. The setlist was HOT and the band was tight. Highlights include Beachball as the show opener, The Stone in teh 1st set, Don't Drink the Water as the 2nd set opener, Die Trying and Sledgehammer. The lovely ladies were not over-emphasized and breaking the songs they performed on apart was nice. They were a nice addition in Hands of God, and I'm looking forward to hearing Be Yourself more. HOWEVER, Nicholas Payton was the guest on trumpet and he was miserable. He started OK on Hands of God, but in the up tempo stuff, he just could not find his grove. I think he even couldn't find the key in Spaceman. He really brought the energy down, and he wouldn't leave. He was on the last 4 songs of the set. DMB tried to salvage things by playing Watchtower in the encore, but it was too late.

My first pit show. Phenomenal up front, lame crowd with no tailgating.

Acoustic set was great. 2nd half setlist was just "ok". The "lovely" ladies (5 songs) & Nicholas Payton (guest trumpet) (3 songs) overstayed their welcome on stage tonight.

Acoustic set was great. Little more energy and jamming as compared to what I heard last year in Chicago so that was a nice change. The early parts of set II were good. No shocker that DDTW opened. The trumpet player from New Orleans seemed out of place as his style of playing didn't really match the songs that he was jamming on. Show also ran really late, causing a 1 song encore. Jimi Thing didn't get finished until 11 pm so we got stuck with Watchtower instead of Best and Rapunzel, which would have been a much better conclusion.

Incredible Stone, Situation and So Damn in the "not-so-acoustic" set. Lying in the Hands was a welcome return (always better live) and this was the best I've seen. New ones are going to have to grow on us... Can't believe they came back out after 11pm (Maryland Heights = Nazis about curfew) but rocked Watchtower. Great show!

The acoustic set was money, but the way the show closed was weak. Oh well, I had fun, but left hoping for more.

Opening set was PHENOMENAL. Tough to top, and the songs with Nick Payton jammed way too long. If not for that I would have rated this higher.

Solid starts and ends to both sets. Lulls in between. Muddy sound mix. a lot of songs during acoustic set don't sound any different than they do during electric set.

For St. Louis, this was a pretty solid show. Typically they are a bit slower paced.

Great show and setlist. Was interesting to hear the LL on a couple different songs. Nicholas Payton was awesome on trumpet, especially dueling with Jeff on Lying in the Hands. Be Yourself has really grown on me and sounded great tonight.

Loved it. Both sets were great. Enjoyed the playlist and the performances. Crowd was pretty great, too, especially compared to some past years here.

Show 58 for me, by far the worst of the 58. Sad, but nothing unique about the show and they did a short watchtower and disappeared from the stage. It actually made me glad I didn't have tickets for any more shows on tour. As much as I love DMB, I felt they had no love at this show.

I sum up the Maryland Heights shows like this....Weeknight show... Easy to purchase face value seats(lower pavilion)all the way up to Showtime that evening. Its a very mild, crowd to deal with, a lot of them seeing DMB for first time. Dave always seems unguarded and a bit dark at this venue (which I love). This years highlight for me was "Lying In The Hands of God. ......Sledgehammer was a tour debut for me as well, so I have to put that up there as well.
