Spent the morning at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, then drove down for the show. Traffic was terrible so we got there kinda late. Couldn\'t help out a lot with the REVERB food drive but we still brought food donations and the volunteer coordinator let us help selling water bottles. Another great time on the lawn with our Maryland friends!

No energy. Weak set list. I am visiting from Seattle and will miss the Gorge this year, was hoping for a equal caliber performance in VA Beach as in years past....not so much. But a 2 star dave show is better than a 5 star show of any other bullshit on the radio these days!
Chive on!

Screw you Dave and screw your band too for "coming back to Virginia" as you put it and playing EASILY the worst show of the tour. One dud after another. Last year we had arguably the best show of the tour so what they hell happened. Offstage at 10:20? WTF? Bayou, YMDT, DDTW, SMLM should all be permanently shelved. And (Don't Fear) The Reaper sucked too.

I was at Hershey as well and there were a lot of repeats. With that being said, the band had a ton of energy and the songs sounded great. Cool instrumental Kit Kat, and I loved Digging a Ditch. Plus, SMLAM closing the show allowed us to beat traffic!

It was my bday so I was amped to start. Good opener with You Might Die Trying to DDTW, two faves. Dont Fear The Reaper was awesome. Rapunzel, always great to hear. Was expecting something rarer for the encore, but Granny and Shake Me are also faves so it worked for me. Best part of the night was meeting Boyd after the show. He is so cool and down to earth, gave me a long bear hug and took pics with me!

This was my first show in 10 YEARS!! I drove 10 hours from Florida...thought it would have been better in va than tampa. But I am still reeling from my SPAC shows and I was disappointed. Not one "big" one...but I had a helluva time singing and dancing anyway. I've got to go every year!!

Sick version of Kit Kat Jam, Lover Lay Down and Satellite. Really surprised by 2 covers, but it was cool. The encore was a little disappointing since I've seen that already minus the Space Between. But overall I had a blast.

Why Dave? Why??? This show had no consistent energy and lacked any true surprises. And it ended around 1045... WHAT? Puh!
anyway, show #20, and highlights were kit kat, lover lay down, space between, and reaper.

Thought this show was excellent, don't know what all the hate is about!?! YMDT Opener followed by DDTW!! Kit Kat Jam! Lover Lay Down, Diggin a Ditch, a crazy good Grey Street, Rapunzel, Jimi!!! Sometimes I think people on this fan site aren't fans of this band! The energy in our section was great, we had a ton of fun and love going to shows at this venue, great crowd, band brings great energy, little disappointing that they were done by 1050pm but they did start at 816-817 which is earlier than they normally start, I have been at shows where they start at 840 and no one complains about that? I love the band, I love them live!

SOJA opener was fantastic! When DMB got to the stage though, I felt like they lacked energy and the right combination of songs. Don\'t Drink The Water should\'ve been the opener and not You Might Die Trying. I feel like they played primarily slow songs which was a bummer. They covered two songs (which I don\\\'t really like to hear), but hey I haven\\\'t heard Take Me To Tomorrow or (Don\\\'t Fear) The Reaper yet so it was alright. They played a weird circusy intro to Satellite which was really fun! Glad to hear Kit Kat Jam and Lover Lay Down and Space Between!! The only problem I had with Space Between was that it was with the Encore along with Granny! Those songs and even SMLAM belong before the Encore!!! I certainly have been to better but am glad to hear a few tunes I haven\'t heard. I also had some asshole behind me air drumming me with his sharp-ass fingernails into my back. They played a great show like always but still I think lacked some energy.

Show was good. Saw them in Bristow the next night and band had way more energy, so overshadowed this show. Lover Lay Down was a nice sight, but the best for me was Space Between.

Setlist will be bashed, and that's fair. Still several peak moments and some high energy points. Rooftop, grey st, Jimi, and Granny were all very well done and dissonante Satilite intro was an unexpected sequence. Digging a ditch and kit kat were also welcome but rather routine. Avg rating of 3 might be justified but I say 4 as even though this might prove the tours worst, still nowhere better to have been.

I knew it would be hard to top Charlotte, but it\'s like they didn\'t try. The crowd\'s energy was non existent up until jimi, and why the hell was SMLAM the last song played two nights in a row? We tried to get tickets last minute to the Bristow show just to try to make up for it. That said, there were a couple treats in lover lay down, satellite (cool intro), I always like the sexy mofo interpolation of jimi, and rooftop was neat with the broken-down part in the middle. I kept waiting for him to finish LIOG from last year haha. This year Charlotte >> VA Beach.

Honestly a miserable show. After the first 8 songs with the exception of the overplayed DDTW there was no saving the set. A show without either #41, crush, or LIOG will always leave me with a solid jam to be desired. When freaking Jimi Thing is the highlight of my night, you know the show sucked.

Absolutely horrible. What was Dave thinking writing a setlist like that? I rather watch Dave take a dump on the stage and not play a single song, than watching a 3 hour marathon of crap like tonight's show.

Underwhelmed after Charlotte, but I still had a good time. Setlist was average, flow was off, but there were still a number of highlights: Kit Kat Jam, LLD, and Gaucho (that video gave me chills) were highlights for me.

One of the worst shows I have ever seen. It is right up there with Hershey from a few weeks ago. Not surprisingly, they repeated a lot of the same bullshit.
The only part of the 20 song setlist I got excited for was The Reaper. That's it. Granny is obviously great, but when the entire main set is so freaking boring and generic it is essentially meaningless. You never know what you are going to get from the band, but most of the time you are going to get crap. The tour started so amazingly with their rare and best songs routinely being played. It has gone to utter shit in a few weeks. Nobody who has seen the band often wants to hear Jimi Thing, Satellite, Grey Street, DDTW, and Rapunzel anymore. The sad thing is when you surround it with freaking Die Trying, Bayou, If Only, Gaucho, and pathetic Shake Me Like A Monkey you are left feeling like you want to vomit.

Piss poor performance. Kit Kat Jam was nice but it wasn't the Gorge version. The Reaper was cool. I just wish there was more "jam" songs didn't really play anything rare.

Im going to echo most of the comments so far but that was underwhelming. Ive been to 70+ shows over nearly 20 years and that might have been one of the worst set lists, up there with Bristow last year. Sometimes he puts out a real dog of a set list. So many repeats from the Wednesday show I saw. I dont mind covers, they tend to rock em, but they have a huge catalogue of songs they never play so why waste it on covers when you only play one show in a town? And ending at 10.47? Only 2 hrs? There was still time for one more song! Why the hurry? There was no delay like in Charlotte. Still love em but that was weak.

Setlist was ok. Seemed like the band was having a good time but the crowd was terrible. From the opener there was more talking, sitting and getting up to leave. It looked like Dave gave up. I had a good time but Shake me is not the best closer.

Man, I'm not too sure what that was. I have never left a Dave concert early ever- to be honest, never thought it would ever come to that. I never thought it was possible to leave a DMB concert disappointed and upset either. If that is going to be my experience from now on, I may hesitate to go to another. I can't believe I'm even actually typing this, but then again, I have never seen the band go through the motions like that. :/

Fun show last night.. was it the best show or the best set I've ever seen, absolutely not. It was a tad short as well.. But it was still a great time, nowhere I'd rather be but at DMB! Lover Lay Down, Reaper, and Kit Kat Jam were definitely the highlights!

Not the best, was great to hear Granny, Don't Fear the Reaper, and Kit Kat Jam. Warehouse Lawn section was a big miscommunication and we didn't get in the fenced area until 8:15 when they took the fence away.

Really disappointing show IMO. For the first time of the near 30 shows I've been to, I was sincerely bored by the setlist and it seemed so was the band. Following last year, I was hoping to have a repeat of similar quality - this was not the case as it lacked any energy or momentum. Perhaps the trend will, however, repeat last year in which Bristow was the first of the 2-night VA run and wasn't well liked, only to be followed by a stellar VA Beach show. This year the venue order was swapped - so maybe Bristow is in store for something special (who knows). All in all, this was one of the worst shows of the tour, not to mention, that I've ever seen.

My 55th show and I don't really get all the hate on the boards. Granted, I was in the pit, which always bumps it up a notch, but from where I was standing, the band's (and Dave's) energy was fantastic. It's not just the set list that makes or breaks the experience. Highlights for me...Kit Kat Jam and Reaper. Great group in the pit, except the guy to my left who for some reason hates the whole beach ball thing. Four amazingly came his way and he violently ripped each one apart with his teeth. Why would anyone do that?!

A weak encore and a 10:45 PM finish can make you forget the highlights of the regular set, which included an excellent, super rare Kit Kat Jam, the always beautiful Lover Lay Down, the growing-on-me Rooftop, and a solid You Might Die Trying. An average encore and 30 more minutes of play time might have saved the otherwise sub par show. Still, any Dave show is great, but this was easily the worst I have seen in terms of set list, length, and musical quality.
