Tough rating but went with 4 stars because the band did kill it. Slow for most the show but it was nice to see and hear. Got Seek Up this summer so I was happy. Jimi Thing w/ For What It's Worth was awesome!! Ever since seeing the Central Park show I have wanted to see this. PNP>Rapunzel never gets old. Typical Situation was stellar! So glad I can say I have seen it. Encore was a nice way to finish off the night. Nothing out of this world but given the night, venue, travel from Hershey to play two-nights in a row, the band sounded great.

Pretty good show, I had a great time! It was my first time at Bethel so that was cool. Hearing some AFTW for the first time live was pretty awesome too! Minarets and Typical Situation were first for me live as well.

I disagree with a lot of these reviews. This was not a great show, but it was somewhere between a good show and a very good show. There were few songs that have been overplayed (Eh Hee, Seven, SMLAM), but they are all short songs and EVERY show has them and they sound the same every time, so their presence cannot make a show better or worse than any other show. FTWII--another song that has been overplayed--keeps evolving, the improv during the intro was a nice change, making this in my mind a plus for the show because this version was different/more interesting than other versions. Similarly, this version of Jimi with the For What It's Worth interpolation was also better than others I have seen this summer, Jeff killed his solo and the audience didn't have to sing. People are saying that the show was too mellow. Typical Situation is a mellow song. A week ago people were so desperate for it to be liberated they were doing a twitter campaign for it. It takes up approximately the same space in a set that more lively songs like Two Step, #41, or Warehouse takes. Seek Up is also a softer song. Both of these songs, however, are great and are played a lot less frequently than the aforementioned Two Step or Warehouse. To me, their presence in the set over those other tunes is a major plus for this show. First time I have ever heard the Riff. I liked hearing four of the five AFTW songs tonight, they are all really different stylistically. Also, this is the first time I believe 4 AFTW songs have been played in one set before. That was pretty unpredictable. After they played If Only and the Riff, I did not expect to hear Gaucho. Encore was a lot of fun. When the whole band took the stage and Dave hit the chord of Little Thing I had one of those "HOLY SHIT" DMB moments. I thought we might actually get a full band Little Thing. SMTS>Grey Street was not expected at all. Based on these two factors (encore and 4 AFTW songs), I don't understand how people can say that the set list was "predicable." I have also seen people saying that there were not enough rarities. Not that a show should be judged on this, but Typical, Minarets, and Seek Up were all played. Should these songs be rare or not is a completely different discussion, none of them are played that often anymore. And, in my mind anyway, they are three of DMB's best songs. There are not many other combination of "rare" songs that I would prefer to hear in one show over the three of these. Another major plus for this show. Like I said earlier, this was not a great show and I have been to better shows, but this was by no means in my bottom few shows.

My first Typical and Minarets. So happy to hear those. The Riff and If Only were awesome. New Funny Intro still amazes me. The band was on fire. Great time at Bethel. What a beautiful venue.

Was in the reserved section of the lawn for Warehouse ticket holders, which was nice. We were right at the front of the lawn section. A wide security guard kept standing right on front of us, blocking the view of the stage. My daughter is short and had trouble seeing. Show was good, but not as high energy as others I've seen. I didn't leave with the euphoric high I usually have.

bland, slow, too new-song heavy, every time they seemed to pick up momentum they slowed it down again.

I liked The Riff though

Solid show, some great new songs as well as old ones. Tim Reynolds was on fire the whole night. Encore I feel was a little weak and cut short but that's not to say it wasn't an awesome show. I was in the lawn right in the middle all the way up, pretty good view for lawn seats. Highlights of the night include smlam proudest monkey, 7, The Riff (2nd time ever played) Jimi Thing.

Grace is gone first time, minarets amazing seek up amazing, typical first time amazing. I love if only and the new song was pretty good. Timmy took a dulled out crowd when proudest monkey started and turned into a roof rocker. Encore could have been almost any other song but Grey street and it could have capped an awesome night.

Bethel is my favorite venue: beautiful, phenomenal sound, fun crowd. My last DMB concert for this summer, and I was thrilled to get my 1st Minarets and full band Typical. Thanks to the fans in my section who were energetic and considerate and fun. Thanks for bringing such a great vibe especially after the douche bags I had to tolerate at Camden who were miserable subhumans. Great show tonight!

Tim's Jimi solo was incredible. Mercy has grown on me, and was a surprising highlight of the evening. The intro to Funny The Way It Is was very cool. A really solid show, despite a setlist that looks hit-or-miss on paper.

Little bit of a lackluster show. I notice this happen quite a bit when the crowd is lackluster. No GA PIT and many empty seats in lower pavilion. The band feeds off of the crowd. The crowd was lame.

Awesome show. Loved Gaucho and 'If Only'. 'Mercy' too with Dave repeating a simple but nice chord sequence on piano. Typical Situation was great too. Such a beautiful venue too, QUIT PISSING IN THE PINE TREES BOYS (AND GIRLS)!

Very solid. Typical Situation / Seek Up / Jimi Thing were all great. If the encore was better (Grey Street is way overplayed and in my mind is NOT encore closer worthy) it would have been a 5.

Definitely not my favorite show I ever attended. I thought he would bring out some old stuff but I was wrong. Seek up was definitely one of the highlights of the night including minerettes, satelite, and Cry Freedom cry. He played all the songs he already released from his new album, which is cool due to i did not here all them yet, I loved all them. The first 2 songs were the same that I heard a couple weeks ago in hartford. This concert just wasnt rare and overall not that good. I was truly expecting more being it was at a popular venue with a sold out crowd!

Some good songs, some bad songs. They kiled Seek Up, one of the best I've heard out of them. The new songs were performed well (The Riff is awesome) and even some of the BW songs I would've been mad to hear last year are starting to sound pretty damn good (Funny, Seven). Little Thing tease was cool, but short. Overall, glad I went.

Extremely solid show, mello is a good thing at this venue, intimate and not a bad seat in the house. Song choice was excellent and order was really interesting. Some of the best versions I've heard this tour and I hope at least one of the nights songs make it onto a warehouse album, I just can't pick which one.

Decent show. The setlist had a really strange flow...so inconsistent...it really made it hard for me to get into. If the same songs were played in a different order, it could have been a completely different show. There was no real chance for any energy to build. Highlights for me were Seek Up (best i've ever heard), The Riff (love it), Mercy (best version I've heard based on the tapes and being at jones beach), and of course Typical Situation...first time hearing it live for me and it was just incredible. Best moment of the show. Overall, good, but not great.

Ahh, Woodstock. What a beautiful place in a beautiful setting with a beautiful venue. This was my first trip to the storied and famous rolling hills in the Catskills. From the moment we got there and propped our chairs up I knew we were there to just chill. Everything about this place was a joy. We met a lot of cool people just in the parking lot alone. Imagine my surprise when the car load of people next to me started waving their AntsMarching.org flag. I felt at home. The venue is beautiful designed and the acoustics just carry for seemingly ever. I could feel every kick and beat of Carter's bass drum the whole night and I also got a first hand feel of how syncopated Stefan's bass playing is with Carter's power house drumming style. Now, I have been reading a lot of mixed reviews on the set list. And it strikes me as kind of annoying that some of us fans go into these events with our head's so securely and firmly placed up our ass that if everyone of our songs we hope to hear doesn't get played then there is a shit storm of negativity. There are a few quotes from the band members I would like to remind you of: "Settle down buddy. This is our show and we're gonna do it our way."--D&T Radio City. "We're gonna do a quiet one, loud one, quiet one, loud one, quiet one, loud one just sort of something in between." D&T Luther It's tough for a band to go out there and play power song after power song without a break. The break is not just for the band it's for us fans too. Now, I will make one exception to that and that is Eh Hee. The only way that song is ever interesting is if you listen to Dave's ten minute diatribe on the Radio City disc talking about the people who inspired that song. Other than being played at Dave and Tim shows the song should be banned at full band shows from herein. The show was great. Grace opener into the aforementioned garbage track, then into If Only was a really chill way to start the show. Then came the power: Minarets, Seek Up, SMLAM, Proudest Monkey into Satellite. Tim absolutely killed it on Proudest Monkey and his atonal work on Satellite was great as well. I've seen Satellite at least a dozen times but nothing compared to this one. It was beyond perfect with Dave hitting the old really high notes. What else can I say? Oh there was that killer version of Typical Situation which blew the roof off the house. All the new songs keep sounding better and better. Great show, great performances from each band member at a chill, chill venue. Can't wait to go back. Let's start the petition to make Bethel a two night stand from now on.

Overall not one of the best shows I've been too. The crowd was energetic, the venue was beautiful, the set list was eh. Every time the band played something to lift the crowd up, the next would be something new or something overly mellow to bring the crowd right back down. The second half of the show was much stronger than the fist half and Cornbread and Rapunzel was a nice way to close out the main set.
