Great show and better than normal energy from the Houston crowd. I thought the set was solid, but was disappointed in the very short encore. They play Grey Street every year they have come to the Woodlands for the past several years, and it could have used a break this year.

I wish I had seen more contribution from Boyd, Jeff, and Rashawn. They all had about 2 songs they excelled on, but overall had relatively tame nights. Meanwhile, Dave, Carter, and Tim were on FIRE. Goucho is an interesting new song with a bunch of unexpected time signature changes but a smooth machine gun style rhythm if that makes any sense. Pretty unique. Mercy is fantastic full band-- even a highlight I'd say. Overall-- meh. Don't Drink the Water and Rapunzel stole the show. The rest were nicely played but not a top notch performance. Show 23 tomorrow in Dallas!

Dave spoke a lot tonight about it being "statistically speaking someones birthday"... the numbers on his statistics kept increasing everytime he would talk about it after a song... ending that the 50 or so should all make sweet birthday love together no matter what others thought or how bad it smells.

Great show...high energy from the crowd (more than I remember in years past from Houston)...I had a blast! Wish I could give the show 4.5 stars.

The show started off pretty energetic, but did not have a sustained "rockin" period prior to the encore. Energy seemed to die off. This being said...I had a blast because for the first time I wasn't dying to hear any particular song...it was great listening just to hear some damn good music / enjoying the boys play.

Really liked Goucho...was pretty interesting and has some potential. Look forward to tomorrow night in Dallas!

Great to see the band back on the road for the summer. First noticeable change, at least for those that didn't make it to a caravan show in 2011, was Rashawn's weight loss. He looks incredible!

It'll be interesting to see if the tour continues with a heavy emphasis on newer material. #41 was the oldest song, followed by three BTCS tunes. Gaucho was fun live, Sweet was an interesting song. Looking forward to the tape to get a feel for the song. Encore was strong, Squirm into Grey Street was fantastic. Stefan wearing a cowboy hat during the encore was a nice touch!

BEF was a good opener, the BW songs were strong, Mercy was great full band, old favorites (#41, DDTW, Grace, Crush, PNP>Rapunzel) were great as always, I was expecting a little more out of the encore, but I did like the full band complete encore and thought Grey Street was a nice closer. Gaucho and Sweet were good, not great. You Never Know was a nice surprise! All in all, the crowd was energetic and the band sounded rejuvenated! It's going to be a good tour year based off of the opening night!

Had its moments. BEF open. Mercy. DDTW. Crush. Rapunzel. Squirm!!! Overall show lacked consistency and a prolonged groove per my preferences. That heightens scrutiny to setlist. Beach ball sucked first time I heard it in Houston and again last night. Last night's #41 was too short and where was Jeff's solo? (According to him the song was rearranged.)Onward to Dallas to make things right. By the way, Magnetic Zeros were great.

Great show, though it seemed short. Super energetic crowd. I was very glad for the BTCS and BS heavy setlist. Lots of great songs that I hadn't heard live before. One of my friends who isn't a huge DMB fan was disappointed that they didn't play any of their radio hits. I think that may be why I liked the show so much.

A better crowd than usual for The Woodlands (absence makes the heart grow fonder, perhaps?)

A solid show from the fellas, statistically speaking.

Not sure how I feel about Gaucho, yet...

Great show overall, but I'll preface this review by stating that buying a ticket, getting all hyped up, watching the show and then complaining about the setlist is simply counterproductive. I love BEF as an opener and the new intro to Funny was interesting. Nice to hear GIG again. Hadn't heard it since 04. YNK was a nice suprise. I think its one of the most underrated songs. The lyrics are amazing. "Funny when your small, the moon follows the car." I like to think that's something Dave and I had in common as kids...thinking the moon was chasing us...I digress. I'm just glad I didn't check the soundcheck set until after the show. Now that Ive spoiled it for myself, Im hoping to hear If I Had It All tonight in Dallas. Nice to hear 3 new songs first time played full band. The full band Mercy was nice with a surprising outro with Dave on Piano. Full band sweet was also a nice surprise. Grey Street was a solid ending with a nice intro brought to you by Carter. The videos during Seven, DDTW, and Squirm were entertaining. Hopefully no one is afraid of creepy puppets, masks or eyeballs. Finally, I could hear Seven at every show I attend live and I'd be okay with it. Yeah, I said it...but how can anyone not love such a dirty song or complain about hearing it live so much (again, counterproductive). Just shut up and dance!

Great BTCS-heavy setlist. Loved the Big-Eyed Fish open. Second straight time the Houston crowd has been dead for a DMB show. Maybe the Nazis at the gate dampen the spirits. Anyway, not going back to a show in Houston.

Great show! The band was clicking, the crowed seemed into it, and the new songs were great. Dave was funny as usual. Mercy sounded awesome with the entire band.
