A very L.A. show, anything can happen here in L.A...the crowd is also mediocre here so not surprises at all..Can't even sing the hani hani part..thank god for Chula and Irvine. If you want a good show, just go to ALPINE =). The highlights, my beloved LIOG, Typical & The Stone.

On the other hand, Billie the DMB Monkey got to meet Dave and got his autograph on his belly (become his friend/fan in facebook)

fun show. i really like this venue as far as location and size. sound was alright for the most part. i felt they could have turned boyd up though. that said, Lie in our graves was sweet.i really enjoyed the whole set. it just seemed to flow very nicely with good transitions of moods and intensity from song to song. the encore was different but in a good way. interesting that he played baby blue last night then sister tonight. time bomb was fine as a closer just needs a little more work to take it to the next level which im sure will come in time. overall another fantastic show from my favourite band! =D

Good main set. Was really glad to finally see Lie In Our Graves. I'm really tired of hearing Out Of My Hands but it gave me a moment sit down and relax for a minute. As for the end of the show, Alligator Pie into Ants Marching was awesome! Too bad it was the worst encore I've seen in 11 shows. Just left me completely bummed for about two hours. I'm able to look back and appreciate all the good and not allow the bad encore to ruin the whole experience. Great venue! Good Crowd! Good Set! Average show that could have been great if the crowd had got what it was asking for, "one more song!"

Still scratching my head after this one. I was 7th row center. This was number 50 for me. You could tell Dave was tired. Did not have the energy we have come to love so much. 6 repeats? The only reason I will give this 2 stars is because The Stone, LIOG, Ants. Boyd had some great moments. I left my seat during the encore, walked to the top of the venue and found a Warehouse member and gave them my ticket for the encore. See, there still is a few good people left! Big hopes for Chula!

Best Ants Marching I've ever heard. Typical, LIOG were great. The Big Whiskey songs may not stand the test of time. But I remain hopeful.

This was the best DMB show I have seen in awhile. The Stone is my song and I was SO hoping to hear it at the Greek. Rhyme & Reason was also a treat along with hearing whatever Improv was. Loved it.

This show had a good vibe to it but it was tainted by the horrible encore. Overall both nights were solid. New stuff sounds great and it was expected that they would be playing a bunch of it. But to have 2 nights at the same venue and only play a combined 2 songs from Before These Crowded Streets is pretty disappointing. Greek is great and if they head back there next year I will give it another shot.

The show for me was 3.75.. I'm giving the show a 4, although I have to admit I was thinking of giving it a three...It was good show, but I was a bit dissapointed with the "usual" openers. The show was also shorter than night one. BT was again "hooded" the whole evening, but he did break out to the front with his jams. Highlight was the improv Jam -worth a few listens!

was I at the same show as others???

Crowd was bad? Gravedigger was slow? I'm just confused at everyones comments.

The show was great, I agree last night was better and the encore just felt wierd. But Gravedigger was "remixed" in a way. Everytime I have heard that song its Dave alone, and this was fast and fun, the top level was having a blast with glow sticks and stood the whole show. Not the best show, but I would never ever give a DMB show anything less than a 3.

Too much of the same stuff each night off the new album. But still a great set.

Always nice to listen to everyone sing along to Satellite. Typical Situation was the tits. Still getting used to the new stuff, but I can't hold that against them - they rocked when they played it, made it happen even if Dave's voice needs to go to the Bahamas for to weeks. I do wish they'd not try to saturate the 2nd night crowd with the same stuff from the first night, but I imagine their marketing team tells them there are more first timers than repeats in the crowd the second night. We oddballs who go to every show have to think about those who see only one a year! They must hear every song off the new album!

Really enjoyed Boyd's stuff tonight, Lie in Our Graves was just great, and I don't call myself a Boyd fan. Always like to hear the Stone. Alligator was purty good, and merged well into Ants. and Carter was kickin' ass on Ants Marching. Maybe it's just me, but the drumstick toss thing has lost its appeal to me...

This was a weird show. The band seemed to be 'off' and not very into it. DMB doesn't give us bad shows, but this was not their best, by far! LEAST favorite DMB show I've seen.

I love the new songs and Seven was the best I've heard from the shows I've been to this year. Nice to hear Sister, but the encore needed one more song. I thought the setlist was badass. Got some songs I haven't heard in awhile.

Encore left me wanting more.

However the show was pretty sweet. Really enjoyed the improv they busted out. Also glad I was finally able to hear LIOG, Stone and Typical, Daves voice was on. I didnt mind the repeats since I really like the new album, You and Me has grown on me as well, I like it more live. Also Alligator Pie->Ants Marching was freaking awesome!

I guess everybody takes a day off here and there...I love DMB but this was an awful show. Dave and the band were obviously not into it at all. I know LA crowds are "tough" but the band didn't do anything to get everyone going. The setlist was mediocre at best. Just a disappointing and frustrating night after having waited so long to see 'em all again. that being said, we're looking forward to Chula Vista and Irvine.

Wow! The show had a slower, more mellow feel than usual. But they were totally on point last night. Such a tight, cohesive unit up on stage. Technically, it sounded like Jeffs alto mic was a little low, or maybe it was just where I was sitting.
The set list was pretty solid. Kicking off with some new material then roll into The Stone! My "if you were a DMB song, what would it be?" song. That just set the chilled tone for the night.
Sattelite, Typical Situation...some great oldies thrown in with the new stuff. Then a great little improv jam in the middle of the set.
But my personal highlites of the night along with Stone would have to be LIOG. Boyd went OFF!! incredible! Did not want that jam to end. Just when I thought that was the best of the night, the segue from Alligator into Ants was seamless...followed by THE BEST ANTS MARCHING OF ALL TIME!! Carter was in a different universe! Really tight, great fills and some of the funkiest drumming I've ever heard.
Sadly, the ending was as befitting a great show as it was. Sister was nice, but to close with time bomb was a little off. Great song, great jam, but not a closer.
The venue was fantastic. Not a bad seat in the house. Although I read on Twitter some obstructed views were possible, but it couldn't have been many. I do love the Greek!

Over the top show, with a much more interesting setlist. Carter was out of control the entire show, especially during The Stone. Typical situation and Gravedigger were nice touches. Encore a bit weak, but a really great show with a really great crowd.

Pretty good, not as good as the night before, our seats were further back but i thought it was cool te people behind us brought a bunch of little glow sticks and threw them into the crowd, by the end of the night they had made it all the way to the front, i hope too many people didn't use those the wrong way and just try to aim for people.

This was an amazing show! We had amazing seats and got to sit next to our really good friends. The setlist was absolutely OFF THA HOOK.

The Stone was a gem! Great Typical, Rhyme&Reason and nothing can beat that IMPROV jam. Something I wish the DMB would do a little more often!

I may be reading into this, and I have no real insight here, but my intuition & gut feeling through this whole show was that the band was in a funk over missing LeRoi. I know they took a week off during the anniversary of that tragedy about 2-3 weeks before this show, but the tragedy happened in LA & maybe it just got to them after being back in LA for over a day now. I don't know but that's what it really felt like to me. Look at the setlist - the song choices alone. So despite what seemed like a downer night, it felt strangely beautiful to be a part of [whether or not that was what they were feeling].

highlights were typical situation, stone, liog, rhyme & reason and ants. set was way mellow compared to last night. can't believe 6 repeats on the new songs. should not happen on two night stands. encore was lame. dave seemed like in a hurry to leave. set was a half hour shorter than last night. hope they turn it up a notch for sat. night in chula vista. boyd played with his hoody over his head again. kinda wierd. can't wait for chula vista and irvine. i'm sure they will play most of the new songs but am hoping for some old tunes i love, minarets, 41, seek up, say goodbye, last stop

Weak, weak, weak.

Dave was tired, his voice was strained. Gravedigger was in a lower key which made it sound uber-depressing. Every other song was off the new album, which I am not that fond of. And the encore was bullshit. Probably the worst show I've seen, and I was at the Gorge show in 2001 when Dave LITERALLY had no voice and they did a lot of jams. That was better than this.

Though, on the positive side, I will save the worst Dave show is better than most others at their best. But once the bar is set, it is hard to go back to accepting mediocrity.

Highlights were LIOG, Stone, and Typical Situation. Improv was pretty cool, great grove going. Show had up and down moments in terms of energy, solid set list though. Huge climax with Ants at end. Encore was interesting, I thought they were going to play one more. Dave sounded great!

I guess the positive was that we got to see all the songs from Big Whiskey over the two nights. But we didn't need to hear some of them, like You and Me, twice. Still, some of the new ones, like Seven, are great live. I enjoyed hearing Typical Situation, and a newly revitalized Ants Marching. That was great. And I will say this... worst encore ever.

User: yavin27

Let's start with the negatives: bad encore, and the crowd was so so. The band clearly seemed like they didn't want to be on that stage. What was up with boyd, he clearly wasn't up to his usual self. It just didn't feel like they were giving it their usual 100%.
Positives: Very intimate, great venue and met some cool people. The main set was pretty good, highlights include stone, typical, lie in, satellite, ants, and alligator. All in all, it was a good night.
