Great show. Probably in my top 5. I danced like crazy to the jams during LITHOG and #41...both stellar versions. The Rapunzel opener and Halloween closer were both awesome. Ants was great as always. Solid versions of the rest of the songs as well.

I have only been to 18 shows but I must say this is by far the best I have ever been to. It might be the best I ever get to go to also. I just knew by how the energy was we were getting Halloween. As soon as the spotlight was on carter and no one else I started jumping around like a manic with everyone else around me looking at me like WTF. Then boom... Enjoyed ants, although I thought the release show ants was better.R&R with Randolf was awesome too.

Just an amazing show hands down. Oh did I forget to mention granny. SMLAM is awesome. A little tired of why i am, but still a great song probably my fav on the new cd. Stay of leave was a nice surprise.

AHHHH just a great freaking show.

Tonight started kind of easy, then picked up to a raging, lights out finish. Highlights of the night were a jaw dropping #41, the best Ants that I've ever seen to close the main set, and I can't believe that we were lucky enough, but a drop dead Halloween encore closer. Other notable songs were Stay or Leave, a very nice impromptu jam on Lying in the Hands of God, and Seven, which seems to be a future crowd pleaser. Tonight had so many highlights, I almost forgot Robert Randolph's guest performance on Rhyme or Reason. He was standing/perching on top of his electric guitar at the peak. Awesome, awesome show. I think that the band may be at or close to its best this season, based on what we've seen the last two nights

Amazing show, and a great way to cap off the incredible weekend. Lil' GIG tease into PNP>Rapunzel brought the energy right to start. PM was great. Dave loves Seven and rocks it (standard procedure). Then from WIA thru the end of the show was just incredible. Everyone loves the LOVE!BABY!, and Gravedigger was the single best version I've ever heard. RR tore up R&R, crowd went insane. Non-closer Grey St, 41, shake me, everyday (crowd pleaser), and Ants... and finally a chance to take a breath and get ready for the encore. Baby blue is intense live, Dave really gets into it. Crash in the encore was a great surprise. And then, YES, HALL-O-WEEN. Incredible.

my favorite show because i brought my 7 y/o daughter to her 1st DMB concert. she was smiling, dancing and calling out the songs the entire night. my eyes filled up with tears when she looked up @ me as #41 started and said, "i wished this song for you on the playground, daddy". i will never forget that night for the rest of my life. Awesome show. Of the 14 shows I have been to this year, I would
put this one only behind SPAC N2 and Burgettstown N2. The crowd
was throwing out some major energy and the DMB was giving it back. Robert Randolph was awesome on Rhyme and Reason. (I wrote RR set list) This is probably the best show I have ever seen at Camden.

Review:
At the beginning I thought the show was solid but mostly a generic show. However, this was the best compilation of a 41 jam that I think I've seen - it was also one of the best crowds I've been around for the 25 shows that I've seen. (The Atlanta crowd sat down for most of the second half of the set.) This crowd was on its feet the whole time and was into the show. This show was also topped off with the crowd chanting Halloween and the band changing their set to play it. Very cool...and a great show!

User: jasetdx

Robert Randolph opening was sweet and him sitting on 41 was good, but could have sicker if they were more familiar playing w/ eachother. Cofflin dueled w/ Carter for a while on one intense jam. Good setlist, but lying in the hands of god continues to be an uninspiring song. I believe the quote from Dave on You and Me was "This next song I like so much I'd play twice if I didnt think it be inappropriate". Pretty telling, he got into that one a lot.

This show started off with a bang and finished off with a bang. In between Rapunzel and Halloween, you get a sick #41, Grey Street, Robert Randolph special on R & R. Not to mention a wicked Ants to go along with the great new stuff like Seven and Shake Me Like A Monkey. This was also the first time in my 21 shows that I have been so close to the stage. Man does it make a difference. I just absolutely love this band. Rock on boys!!!

This show was pretty darn good. None of the songs were what I would call "epic", save for #41 of course. But each one was packed with emotion, especially Grey Street, Funny the Way it is, Why I am, Shake Me Like a Monkey, Granny, and of course Halloween (was it me or did Carter's intro to Halloween sound a lot like the drum solo into Cornbread? That had me confused/pissed for a second.)
Even Everyday with the crowd singing was a lot of fun. Ants Marching had a jam section that I had not heard before--amazing that they can keep making that song new after all these years. Robert Randolph got into it on Rhyme and Reason. I was strangely disappointed and glad at the same time that he only played on that one song.
There were lots of other suprises that were much appreciated. For example, Stay or Leave as well as Lying in the Hands of God were much more powerful live than I expected them to be. I won't be able to remember all of the little details until I listen to the tape.
The only songs I really didn't go nuts over was Crash Into Me and Gravedigger, which were performed well, but merely crowd pleasers which I had heard too much already.
All in all I give the show four stars for the diversity of the setlist, even though 1/3 of the songs were from the new album. Rhyme and Reason somehow took the place of the Cornbread/Bayou/Alligator Pie slot, which was a little sad. I had been looking forward to hearing Alligator Pie. THe crowd was awesome, knew all the words, and had a lot of fun. We started chanting "Halloween" and then they played it. That was awesome.
Job well done guys. Can't wait until the next show.

Third time I've seen DMB live (not including their show at Live 8, which was the show that got me hooked -- Dave's belting out the high notes on the Don't Drink The Water opener got my attention like nothing else did that day at the Philly Art Museum). I drove out to Pittsburgh on a weekend road trip with friends to catch their Night 2 show at Star Lake, and I feel like Star Lake both had a slightly better setlist and had a better flow from song-to-song than tonight's show did (the BDTH - Stone - ASTB/TooMuchfake/Ants run, followed by #40 - DreamingTree with almost no downtime in between songs, was spectacular, and I felt like there were a few gaps in between songs for this show that dragged the energy down a bit) (Oh yeah, and no curfew at Star Lake let them play until around 11:30, whereas this show ended just after 10:50, so, yeah, you do the math.).

After Rhyme and Reason, which Robert Randolph helped the band rip a new one on, I thought they might go into something else kickin', like Warehouse, to keep the momentum going, but alas, You and Me was next. I should probably just go get a girlfriend to bring to the concert next time, then You and Me will be more what I'm looking for. Ah well.

Anyways, then I realized that if I hadn't seen the Star Lake show, this would probably be the best show I'd see in years. 'Cause it was spectacular. Dave was animated throughout, gettin' his dance on on a number of occasions, and his voice was spot-on, the rest of the boys each had excellent solos, and who doesn't like Halloween closers?
Beautiful work, gentlemen, my hat's off to you. Five stars.

I almost went to Night 1 instead of this. ALWAYS go to the Night 2. Always.

I would rate it 4.5, but I rounded up since it was my 5th show, and what a great show it was. I only get to one show a year and I was concerned because some recent sets had been repetitive and a little vanilla, but they really nailed this one. Perfect mix of old and new, without overplaying BWGGK. Also a solid mix of high energy and chill songs. Highlights: Can I say everything? The jam on LITHOG was great, Stay or Leave was a nice treat, R and R with RR, insane #41, Ants, and of course Halloween. But this is not one of those cases where it's a mediocre set but Halloween makes it "the best show ever." It was truly a great set even before they played that. I've been lucky to see some great shows, so this is either #1 or 1A all-time.

Show was good. Not great. Definately good. It was my 35th show and I can safely say I've seen better. I've seen better this summer. Reference N2 for Pittsburgh for proof. It was just another somewhat slow set. I love PM and Sat. but I just think one could have been replaced with a more uptempo song. Grey St. is also wearing thin on me. I prefer the pre-Busted Stuff version myself. However, 41 is my fav. DMB jam so it always makes an OK show better for me. Ants and Crash were nice. Esp. Crash during the encore. Never saw it there before. Still love the song. Halloween was also great. 3rd time he's played it this summer (i've seen it twice). Again... N2 in Pittsburgh. R&R was also great, but I would have preferred LIOG or something along those lines. By no means a bad show though. It's at least in my top 15.
