Real good show. All the boys were tight tonight and having Tim, Rashawn, and Jeff on the tour is AMAZING! I really like the new material especially Why I Am. They rocked some outstanding jams tonight and I want some of whatever Dave smoked because he was nuts right from the go. A little smoke before the encore was perfect for a beautiful Blue Water and to watch the lightening in the sky during Crash. Thank you for yet another good, good time.

Recently, Burning Down the House, #41 and Grey Street blew my mind!! New songs were great! Can't wait to see how they develop live. Though I'm sick to death of hearing cornbread every freakin night, this one was pretty sick. Dave took my ass to school with that song, and every song for that matter. He was crazy! I mean, I've never seen him so excited during a show. He even found a way to rock a blue water, crash, and stay encore. Phenomenal show!

I thought that this was one of the better shows that I have been to in years. The band was so sharp and Dave was full of energy. Fantastic setlist. It was such a nice mixture of classic songs & songs from Big Whiskey. I also loved the cover of Burning Down The House.

Awesome show. Great energy. The setlist was tight but had a weak encore. I liked the new songs. Best song of the night: #41 (amazing jams from Tim and Jeff) Song I could have done without: Stay (was hoping for Ants, Watchtower, or Nancies.
Oh well, an amazing time and the people around me were awesome. ROW T, SECTION 9

Great seats! Section 2, Row D. Had 4 tix this year so took my mom, sister and her boyfriend. Dave's energy was as good as ever. Loved the three new songs, Why I Am, Funny How it Is, and Spaceman. This show had a great #41 as well.

Stuck on a hill with a cooler because of some greedy scalpers. Definitely a memorable experience. Sad there wasn't a full version of Blue Water but really dug #41 and Burning Down the House

This show was just "ok" in my opinion. A lot of repeats from Raleigh, although #41 may have been the highlight of the night, despite being played in both Charlotte and Raleigh. Overall, I felt the set didn't really flow and had way too many slow songs for a Friday night. Blue Water was unreal to see live, especially with Boyd's solo, but Crash and Stay are just not a good way to end a show IMO.

great energy at charlotte as always much better than raleigh. excitement from the band all night. Would have liked to seen some differences in the setlists but for some reason they enjoy playing the same handful of songs again and again. Burning down the house is awesome live and my favorite of all their covers from the past couple years, and that has to be the best grey street and so damn lucky I have seen yet. cannot wait for 2 nights at SPAC in June right after the new album drops. The new stuff is really good especially WHY I AM!!!!! stuck in my head all week

Ear Gravy! I loved the opening with pnp and rapunzel. I love Greystreet anytime they play it, and the new songs are really good "funny the way it is" has been stuck in my head since the show. The encore was not what i expected, i was almost waiting for them to play another encore after crash and stay, but hey they can't always play watchtower!

It's hard for me to ever give these guys below 4 stars because they always put on a great show. Set list was a little weak, lots of repeats from C'ville, but Rapunzel, Crush, and Tripping Billies are always nice to hear. Was hopping for some Warehouse, maybe some Lie In Our Graves (its been like 4 years since that was played there), but definiteley not Stay again. Oh well, still a queality show.

Averett Brothers solid opening act. Average show most of the fans around me older and not as into songs as would have liked. PNP> Rapunzel cool opener. Repeats for me from 2nd night at JPJ included Recently, Crush, Spaceman> Cornbread, SMTS> ASTB (with a nice Tripping Billies surprise) Why I Am and Funny the Way it Is getting better each show. Worst of all a repeat Stay for encore. That as an encore makes me want to leave, leave, leave. Solid jams on Crush, #41, and Billies. Very cool Blue Water. Set list seemed tailored for romance with Crush and Crash as well as Stay or Leave and Where are you Going. First Burning Down the House in person was very cool although I would like to see them bring back Sledgehammer or Hey, Hey, My, My. Overall looking forward to two nights in Virginia in August.

lots of energy and good show overll. tim and jeff relly nailed every solo. Carter one again killed Crush. The new songs were a pleasant treat, and burning down the house was fantastic. only problem was the set was soo good that the crash and stay encore didnt really finish off this great show the way i wanted it to end, but ill give it a 4 because i did remain happy the whole night.

DMB showed up big! I was disappointed with the Avett Brothers though. I thought that being from up the road in Mt. Pleasant that they'd put on a better show than they did. Of course, Dave being the attraction, made up and then some. First concert I've seen since LeRoi passed, but I was pleased with the new guy... haven't gotten the name yet... his efforts on 41 were sick. Anyway, with the new faces and despite the more electric sound I'd say that the band's future is looking good.

This was my first show of the tour and I must say it was a blast! It was also my first time to the venue and I really enjoyed it. The staff was really helpful and friendly and everyone I met was nice and laid back. The only thing that was horrible (and is the reason I will never go back to this venue) was trying to leave the lot. I literally sat in the same spot (without moving an inch) for an hour. I have never been to a venue where leaving was such an ordeal. And to beat it all there were cops sitting around in their golf carts staring at traffic and talking amongst themselves. I drove almost 9 hours and definitely didn't want to experience a nightmare like that after an awesome show!!!

All in all, awesome set. The energy was amazing and the boys put on the best Rapunzel I have probably ever heard. Crash in an encore slot didn't do much for me, especially after I saw that they put it in place of the Maker. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a jammin' night!

Soundcheck had me EXCITED- New song, You never know (WTF?!?!? WOHOO!!!!!), Recently, WOW!!! I was expecting a bunch of AMAZING STUFF. My boy and I decided b/c of Cville N2, Raleigh, and the soundcheck we'd hit Nasheville but we changed our minds by the time the show ended. All in all, mediocre but still was good time. As I walked out at the end of the night I thought "radio fan show." Not a fan of a Crash and Stay encore (uninspired imo), called PNP>>Rapunzel prior to the show, lots and lots of repeats from Cville x2 and Raleigh. I just don't understand why the sets don't vary more b/c if you see 2 nights, you've kinda seen all they're playing right now. Jeff was again on fire, this show was packed-out though and good energy from the crowd even with a slower setlist. Boyd again M.I.A for the 4th str8 show and they played Billies so I'm not sur ewhat's up. Definitely hope his smile, dancing, jamming, and violin return soon. Carter was amazing as always!! I'm also tired of Cornbread (aka the New Bayou imho). The too much tease>>billies was decent. Dave appeared to be having fun. Sorry for the rambling review friends.

I want to give this show a 4 but I'm countering all the 3's haha. Not a great crowd but you can't tell me the band wasn't sharp tonight.
PNP>Rapunzel opener was filthy, I LOVE the Recently they are doing this tour, and overall just a solid show. Sure, lots of common songs, I had a bunch of repeats, but it's not the bands fault that I go to a lot of shows haha. Excellent Jams by Coffin/Carter/Tim, and Dave was hilarious as usual. Definitely a great show.

Excellent setlist. Some classic jams. Dave had it going on tonight. He seemed really excited to be playing charlotte. The intensity never let up the entire concert. Recently, Burning Down the House, #41, Tripping Billies, and Grey Street were sick!! Blue Water and Crash in the encore were interesting. All in all, a flawless performance! I will say this though, I've seen 4 shows in the last two years and Boyd has really been lackluster. He just seems like he's bored. His solos are always spot on, but otherwise, he doesn't seem very excited about the music. Still, an amazing live show!
