Groundhogs Day in NJ. I feel like I saw the show twice which although it was still a DMB concert...a bit upsetting. Stay or Leave, Bartender, and Recently were the highlights of the show for me. Weird to see The Maker in the Encore.
To me the statement was I hope you don't mind were gonna take it easy because were about to play in Virginia in a couple days and we want to be at peak performance. :)

I loved this show! I didn't go to MSG, so there were no repeats for me. Recently was the highlight for me. I haven't heard it live in years and it's one of my favorites. Two Step and Carter's drumming was like I have never heard! It was incredible! I had my 3 kids with me and they al loved it. The show had great energy! Lots of people dancing around me all night.

This show was just plain straight out a fun show. It def was a let down that they played alot of the same songs from msg but they replays were songs I could hear a million times. The best was Dave's dance during cornbread. And I love Stefans new Clark Kent glasses.

Decent setlist. Coffin's solo at the end of Bartender was great. BEST TWO STEP I'VE EVER HEARD. I do not want to hear You Might Die Trying or Cornbread ever again. YMDT is ok i guess, but Cornbread and #27 have been played to death. If I'm not mistaken they have both been played at like every show for the past year and a half easy.

Was hoping for #41, but the playlist was pretty good. Carter's two step solo was awesome, as well as bartender, burnin down the house, the best crush version I've heard, and All along the watch tower was awesome. Wish he had played something he wrote in the encore like Stay or even Sister...all in all a great concert.

Crush was solid, two step was on fire as usual, and can't go wrong with watchtower closing. could have done wo/ cornbread again, but really glad to make two shows and no bayou!

I went to MSG last night....apparently I went again tonight. There were 8 repeats tonight. Eight. Aside from The Maker, Granny, and Stay or Leave - the show was bleh. I guess they are saving the good stuff for the C'ville shows.

Such a strong start with Bartender - I admit, I just about cried my eyes out when Jeff played the flute solo and the 'Only Had a Brain' quote for Roi. Wow. Grey Street was bad-ass, and The Maker was amazing. Loved 'Stay or Leave' too. Could have done without so many repeats (2-step, again?) but hey. But overall a tremendous show as usual.

First, great opener. Bartender was excellent with the prelude going into it. Very emotional for me since this was my first show without LeRoi. Jeff totally owned it with his solo. Satellite was good, and Granny was excellent. Both first times on those two for me.

Funny The Way It Is is going to be awesome live, and it was certainly awesome last night. It must've clocked in at around 6 minutes, and Tim's solo was great, as was Boyd's.

And after four shows, I finally got my second song off Everyday: When the World Ends.

The other new songs, Why I Am and Spaceman were interesting. For some reason, Why I Am reminds me of Recently. It's not in the way it sounds musically...there's just something about it. I also see Why I Am growing like Recently did. Recently started out as a pretty short song...3 to 4 minutes tops. Then they started jamming out the end. I could see Why I Am going a similar route. As for Spaceman, I could see myself digging the song. Couldn't get the lyrics well because Dave was singing it pretty fast. Could definitely make out "dancing with the GrooGrux King," though. There was so much going on during the song, and it worked perfectly together like clockwork.

The Maker and Watchtower encore was sweet, as I haven't seen these two since my first show in 2007. Definitely improved since then, with Tim on board, of course.

Recently and Crush. In Scranton last year, I saw both of these. Recently was truncated. This version was not and that was excellent. I've wanted to see the Recently jam for so long. One of my favorites. Crush, on the other hand, from Scranton was released on LT2008, and deservedly so. That being said, when they broke into the Crush jam, Jeff wandered over to Tim and they started fighting it out on stage right, while Dave stood stage left. The jamming between the two was outstanding, and beats last year's Crush by miles.

Lastly Two Step. I saw what I think is the best version ever in Hershey last year. This one doesn't top that. However, it comes close. Carter broke out into a crazy drum solo. I just didn't see that coming. And it went on for a solid two minutes, I'd venture. Carter blew me away. I know the Hershey Two Step was better, but this Two Step is almost in another category because of what Carter did!

Izod last year edged the song selection from tonight. Although I can't complain with All Along the Watchtower to close out the night. 3 because I went to SPAC last year and it was by far the best concert I've seen. Obviously, still a great night.

A bit of a different showing from dave.
He played his new songs like "funny the way it is" and "Spaceman", however he left out a few favorites including jimi thing, ants marching, tripping billies, and #41. My favorites include Two Step which had a sick drum solo from Carter and All Along the Watchtower in which Reynolds busted out the Stairway solo. Overall, it was a solid concert, but not the best DMB concert I've been to.

This is my personal best show. Ended up with seats front row off stage right where the band enters and exits the stage. Got to shake hands with Carter, Tim and Stefan.

Even though they played a LOT of repeats from MSG, the show was really strong. Great to hear Granny and Stay or Leave. Loved the Recently jam and really loved the Crush jam with Tim and Jeff. Good energy the whole show, no down time at all. Great encore to finish off the night.

As I was in the process of texting about how this was such a solid show, maybe in my top 3, a giant thud, called "The Maker" leveled me, and the entire arena for that matter. It still amazes me how the DMB can rip through a set, leave you begging for more, then fuck up the rhythm worse than the first time you got tongue in grade school. Dont get me wrong, the band sounded great, and the 3 new songs along with recently, crush, YMDT,grey street and a ridiculous two step stood out on what was otherwise a great show. And by the way, some of the people on the "boards" that are bashing Jeff need to either get their ears checked or actually come to a show sober enough to see what is going on. No, he is not Roi, no one is. But give the man some credit, he is a hell of a musician who can add a whole new dimension to the band. No one will ever forget Roi's contributions, but Jeff may be the next best thing. Cant wait for SPAC!

Too many of the same songs from last night. The energy was not the same as MSG, but still a good show. I took my parents to their first DMB show tonight and they were blown away.

Just to share something with everyone that made me feel warm and fuzzy inside... my mom was almost in shock from experiencing the most loyal fans in music. She said it seemed as if every person in the arena besides her knew every word to every song (well almost,) and she had never felt the type of energy that we all know and love about going to shows - and this was all in all a pretty average show, so that says a lot.

So, at your next show, I strongly recommend taking a few seconds during your favorite song to pause, look around, and take it all in... and appreciate the amazingly unique relationship this band has with it's fans, vice versa, and the beauty in that for the 3 hours or so we get to spend with the band and each other, all of us together create just about as perfect of an atmosphere as can be. It is truly something to be cherrished.

...so after 13 years of going to shows, my mom of all things helped me put my finger on the reason we keep coming back.

See yall this summer!

I understand they repeated a bunch of songs from the MSG but for people seeing them for the first time this year the show was absolutely unreal. The band as well as the crowd had an amazing amount of energy and each song was received extremely well. As for the new songs really I really enjoy Funny the way it is and do fell it is much better live than studio. Spaceman slower song but I am sure will sound great on the record. Why I am can def see this being a big hit this summer. Crush and Two Step were top notch and closing the show with Watchtower is always a treat. The Jeff – Tim jam at the end of crush was unbelievable and Two Step one of the best I have ever heard. Brought back the daughter lyrics in Two Step and amazed the crowd with a Carter Solo at the end of the song.

Such great energy last night. I am still on such a high from it. Started off a little slow, but it quickly built up...and blew me away.

My friends and I were debating whether or not hearing a lot of the same songs from MSG was a good or bad thing. I was hoping to hear a little more variety, but have to say...the ones that were repeated were kicked up a notch last night.

Highlights for me:
- Dave's dance during Crush
- Tim and Jeff's dueling jam during Crush
- The energy during the three new songs, esp Why I Am
- Hearing Grey Street
- Hearing The Maker

Great Show.. I'll take Nancies, Two Step and Recently back to back nights any day!..

Highlights:
Grey Street was Excellent, new levels there
Two Step, Carter's Solo amazing
Watchtower- first time in a year and half for me
Crush- Always Great, Jeff really shined

New Songs:
Way I Am- Nice Jam
Spaceman- Nice Groove
Funny the Way It Is- Love it Live

Could do without the Maker, just kills the vibe, feel like they do it to just get through the Encore or as a break during a set.

No BOOZ!... need alcohal like MSG.. they had a Bar with Mixed drinks.. Beer is for the birds...

This was a great show! Even though there were some repeats from MSG, who cares! The repeated songs were phenomenal, especially Two Step and YMDT. Crush killed! The show gets one star off for poor sound volume - it could have been much louder, and for all of the high schoolers in my section (#241 - you know who you are) that wouldn't stop their conversation throughout the entire show!

Personally I loved the show, I thought there was so much great energy to it. The new songs were a treat espically funny the way it is, i was very happy to hear it live after hearing the studio version two days ago. Great jam at the end of recently and a fantastic two step maybe the best ive seen. Finally there is no better way to end a show like this then with All Along the Watchtower, however i would have liked to see a grave digger into watchtower i think that would of been something else. All in all a great show
