It only cost me a 2 hour wait to pick up tickets in downtown Richmond. Free shows are always good :)

OMG Incredible. LOVED the fact that David chose to play "Don't Drink the Water" (which, of course, = Don't trust the government) as his first song at a presidential rally. I was there for Dave, not Obama or whatever the hell his name is. I loved the more intimate setting & simple staging, and of course Dave talks far more at something like this than he does at one of the larger venues. It felt so personal, and he and Timmy rocked it out. He said just enough about the reason we were there, but not so much that it felt preachy. Eh Hee was out of this WORLD!!

Amazing show and Dave was fruity as hell. Gotta love it. Stone, Dreaming Tree, Proudest Monkey, SDL, and Watchtower were the highlights for me. My first D&T experience and hopefully not the last!

AMAZING show considering it was FREE :) It couldn't have been more suprising and fulfilling. My second Dave & Tim show and under the circumstances of it being Obama related it didn't matter because D&T shows are always entertaining. Dave was his usual weird-sense-of-humor self and the setlist was full of surprises. Dreaming Tree was on of my favorites for the night, as well as Oh, Dancing Nancies, and The Stone. Great, great show. :)

I saw Dave and Tim in Winston Salem in 2003 and although I thought this show jammed, the WS show was much more intense. Tim was faster in WS and Dave played one of my favorites of all time, Long Black Veil.
That being said, this show was REALLY good. First time I've ever heard Dreaming Tree acoustic and I just tuned in while they were playing it. REALLY cool jam at the end of So Damn Lucky...just bangin good.
Funny stories too but Dave is a bit kooky at times...love it. The lip smacking comment was halarious..

"I think there are all different kinds of people here . . . but I must say it is my opinion that if Obama becomes the next president that the screams of celebration that will come from all over the world to this country will be audible without microphones," he said early in the show.

Awesome show with an awesome set list. Dave's voice was the best I have ever heard it and both him and Tim seemed to be completely consumed by every song. Dave's commentary was also entertaining and humorous.

Wonderful show. D&T played a lot longer than I had expected. It was great all around DDTW had a new little Tim riff inbetween that was cool. Proudest was wonderful to hear. I about died going from Stream to the Stone. For Dave wow! The davespeak was wonderful, "this chair is too soft, i deserve to be taxed" Watchtower came out of nowhere for a beautiful finish and I want to say dave teased #40 toward the end of the show but im going to have to listen to the recording because nobody has mentioned it yet

Was awesome. I was waiting for curtains to lift and the band show up at anytime. It woulda been nice, but the show in itself was awesome.

For a FREE SHOW, this was awesome. There was two types of people there: Dave Fans & Left Wing Fans. Some of the Left Wing people had no idea who Dave was & some of the Dave fans had no idea who Obama was. (Kinda sad when you think about it was still an awesome FREE Dave & Tim Show)

Great show.... But very similar to Radio City... Would have liked to have heard Long Black Veil, Trippin Billies, and Bartender... Watchtower wasn't expected, but thrilling!

My first time seeing Dave with Tim, gotta say, I wish they'd tour together! Hearing The Stone was awesome, as was Dreaming Tree and Dancing Nancies was incredible!! My only regret is that I didn't sneak my camera in like so many other fans and I didn't buy the poster because I figured I could get it online later...BIG MISTAKE. Oh well, great show, great guys, I love Dave!

Took my sister to her first Dave Matthews adventure and it happened to be the pinnacle treat you can get for a show. We were third row and my God could I see every detail. The songs spoke to me like they never had, my first d & t, and I heard my first proudest monkey and maker; worthy as acoustic than full band. My highlight, besides my favorite song two step, was the outro to So Damn Lucky, it had an awe inspiring rhythm that could rise you from your lows and make you reach for a running strength. The concert in general was great but I have to admit I miss the big stage at Alpine. I'm a huge fan of acoustic dave but after wanting to see such a venue so long; I miss the energy of the big venue. Great concert, don't get me wrong, but without the added enigma of intro and outro there seemed so little to hold on to on each song. I wanted more improv and more depth which they could've had if they wanted. Guess when it's free they play the straight forward and skip the fun stuff. Overall, really good but had potential for much more. btw, if i didn't mention it first full acoustic so damn lucky outro and yes it was amazing live. just like superfreak coz yeah i was there too. Gotta love being a pilot to visit ur fav places to see dave.

Very similar to Radio City, but amazing none the less. Dreaming Tree was amazing and Watchtower was nothing short of epic. Also Dave telling one lucky fan that he loved her, but was too afraid to say anything and making fun of the dude about 5 rows back who constantly was clapping was probably some of the funniest shit ever!

My first time seeing Dave and Tim..breath taking. The song selection was amazing and it seemed like we got a pretty rare show. DDTW is always a sick opener and it was the first time D&T played Proudest Monkey since 03. It felt like i was in a large living room watching them play it was awesome. Crush was beautiful and Eh Hee was fantastic. Even a song i'm not that fond of like W.A.Y.G. sounded pretty with the two of them. Two Step made my jaw drop to the floor, it was really crunchy. I heard five songs for the first time: Stay or Leave, Stream, The Stone, Oh, You Are My Sanity. The highlight for me was the stone it was incredible. Timmy was sick on everything tonight..dreaming tree was banging and dancing nancies was DIRTY! And All Along the Watchtower to close capped of one of the best shows I've ever seen.
