WOW. I flew in from S. Florida for these shows. Saw Friday and Sunday night. I cannot say enough about The Venue, The Band and The Crowd.
There is nothing new that I can add about the Band and the Venue, but I can tell you my personal crowd story. Ive been to many shows and Ive never seen a more personal audience. People around me (couple rows up, stage left) were saving seats for one another during bathroom breaks, buying beers for each other, sharing their stories- even protecting the two short little girls when two big chads tried to stand directly in front of them...also getting that drunk guys his poster back after someone lifted it from his backpack. Thanks to that tall dude in blue for helping out!

I made so many new friends, saw two amzing shows and a beautiful venue. Thanks to DMB and a wonderful crowd!!

I agree with thato89 on this page. This must be what people feel like when they go to church. This is my church.

Good show, a little more mellow than Saturday, and the LeRoi slideshow was nice.

I was hoping for some rare stuff like Halloween, So Right, What You Are, etc... but it was still a good setlist.

Thanks for a great weekend, Berkeley!

An AMAZING weekend, shared with many new friends! After getting in line at oh-dark-thirty everyday (but not as early as the Erin's and Casey!), and getting to be front and center, and dancing on stage with Sharon Jones, I don't think it could get any better than this.

A huge thank you to all my new friends - Erin, Erin, Casey, Justin, Jim, Rory & Dawn, et al.... especially Rory for the fantastic Roi tribute.

The shows were PHENOMENAL!!!

Cheers!
Jared

Best show ever, maybe! Crowd was amazing...Dave's dancing with the cowboy hat and sunglasses was priceless. Would have been the best if Roi were there. Was so special that it was his birthday. The night will never be repeated.

What a SPECTACULAR 3 nights!! Im sooooooo glad we got all the songs the gorge got!!!!!! Theres no way I can rate any of the nights as better, but what I have learned is that 3 night shows are incredibly unique because you get to enjoy almost the whole dmb catalog across the 3 nights!! Its not as much about having one show jam packed with ur favorites cause they all get played across the 3 nights!!! Its been such an ideal weekend and they boys were on fire non stop. Song That Jane Likes and Thank You made the night extra special though!! Hell we only had 1 repeat the entire 3 nights I think!! Well minus the bridge haha but that song is what defines DMB as a whole.

My wish before I die:
That ants would love old dirt hill and 27 more!!!

This show was fantastic. It's been about six years, so I don't remember details too well. But there is one very clear highlight: Loving Wings. It was so so so so good. Carter, Jeff, and Rashawn tore it up, and I remember it very well. Try and find this version if you can.

Incredible show, incredible venue. Great energy, it seemed the the crowd was super into the every song. Cried my eyes out during the LeRoi tribute. No doubt I'm making the trip back to Berkeley if they play there again.

Very good show! The girls I were with weren't happy which I didn't understand but I loved it. I was very happy to hear DIDO again after a long time not hearing it. The Roi tribute during the encore break was cool. I signed a blanket for Roi before the show that made it on state at the end. Overall a great ending to the tour (although not as good as the year before).

Amazing show, everything was top notch from the start. Glad I got to see the LeRoi slide show, thought I wouldn't being I wouldn't be at the Gorge this year.
First time catching the end of the tour show...Dave dancing at the end with a cowboy hat from Walgreen's and sunglasses can't beat that.

The only downside is the posters sold out as soon as I got to the front, last one gone right in front of my face...now people are selling them for $750-$1000 on ebay (they'll get what's coming in the end)

Next Year- 3 nights at the Gorge

Being the last show of the tour (and the third of three nights in the intimate Greek Theater), and LeRoi Moore's birthday, this show was rife with emotion before it even started. Despite the underwhelming setlist, I teared up multiple times, particularly whenever the masterful Jeff Coffin delivered a favorite LeRoi lick or the band acknowledged his absence/birthday. I was admittedly fragile coming into the show because the recent passing of my Grandma Flo and the even more recent suicide of my ex-girlfriend's mother, but also found myself overwhelmed by the communal joy at this makeshift birthday party and by my good company, which included Aaron Krass and his parents, both Keely siblings, and mutual friends Tommy Leep and Kevin Borden (his first ever DMB concert!)... For all of these wonderfully personal reasons, this was definitely among the most meaningful shows I've attended.

BEST SHOW EVER. Dave was so into this venue and this crowd. Best crowd I've ever been in for ANY show, ANY BAND!! And I'm a 43y.o. live-music-junkie, so I've been to a few... The energy, the music, the location, all of it came together in perfect balance to make this my favorite DMB show ever (I've been to 26 shows). And the LeRoi tribute was amazing. Great way to end the tour.

What a special weekend this was. I am so glad I made this trip. The previous 2 nights I did not bother with waiting in line before the gates opened, simply because I knew how intimate this theatre was, and also that it was a GA show. Making it to the pit was never a problem. You really didn't have to disrupt anyone to find a really nice vantage point. That being said I really wanted to be close N3. So I waited outside the venue a few hours prior to gates. Totally worth the wait. I sat about 4 rows back in between Stefan and the horns with a clear view of everyone. Wanted to be stage left for obvious reasons. When you are in an assigned seating situation you cannot control much in terms of view, and being dead center only inhibits a full view of what Carter is doing. Point being I wanted to be near the horns and still have a clear shot at Carter and Tim. Boyd is always in view and coming across the stage.

Bartender opening was a great lead to what would become the most mellow but most emotional night of the 3. Loving Wings seemed really dreamy with all the bubbles. Obviously the song carried a lot of emotion. The Maker was a tear jerker too. DIDO was slammin!! Thank You closing the tour was a disappointent (just like the Gorge), but I cannot complain about anything really. I feel fortunate to have been to all 6 of these shows.

One thing I must comment on. The venue is phenomenal. A very intimate place that gave you a feeling of closeness to the band and the crowd too. The crowd was great as well. I would normally not be able to give props to the crowd at most DMB shows, but these shows had a different vibe going for them. You could really tell that people were respectful and supportive in the crowd. Whatever the reason (Leroi passing, venue, last show), it made for a truly enjoyable experience. Thank you fellow fans for creating that! Always nice to see a real appreciation from others as well.

My own selfishness makes me want this band to persevere through the tragedy in the spirit of Leroi. Going to see my absolute favorite band play live will never be the same without him, but it will still be something I yearn to do. I hope they do what they want, but I also hope continuing to play is what that is. Thank you for a great summer!! I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Definitely a better show than the first two nights. Pretty good set list overall ... and "Thank You (Fer Lettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" was a great song to end the night (especially since it went past the "curfew." Sad that it would have been Roi's birthday (RIP).

Absolutely beautiful view of SF lighting up between opener & DMB taking the stage.

Hella of a show. Enjoyed the atmosphere, the Band and the crowd were totally into it! Loved Awesome to hear "Song that Jane likes" and to see the LeRoi trebuite! Was hoping for a different oncore, such as Holloween or Last stop, but it did not dissapoint! Stoked to be there- sweet seats too!

Amazing show. I haven't cried that much since my grandfather passed 15 years ago. The band played with a ton of energy and the crowd was really into the show. The venue was amazing as I was able to get 6 rows back and wasn't among the first 500 people in there. Happy birthday Roi. We will never forget you!

CRAZY! It makes such a difference to see the band so close(I was two steps up from pit, Stage Left). So much joyful interaction between the guys especially Dave and Carter. This is my 19th or 20th show since 1999 and my 3rd time being so close. It changes everything.

Nice to hear #27 and The Maker...cried my way through LeRoi's photo tribute. Laughed my way through Dave and his crazy moves. Was moved by Stephan's "Over the Rainbow" and really wished the guy behind me was too so he'd stop yelling at Dave to pick up the sunglasses...

This is my "church", and now I feel saved for another year! Amen!

First and foremost, thank you to the wonderful people in line around me (Tito, Zach, etc...) these wonderful people made the show just as enjoyable as Dave Matthews and his troup of crazy musicians.

On to the show....

After security pulled quite a gaffe and took wayyyy too long to let the people on the left side in, my girlfriend and I were able to get 2nd row center. Again, kind people around us made the show wonderful.

DMB had amazing energy emanating from the stage as soon as they walked out. Bartender as the opener was no surprise, but freakin' amazing!!

The highlight of the night for me was Crush with the Somewhere Over the Rainbow intro by Stefan.

Dave dancing around all night long and punctuated by him dancing for what seemed like forever during Thank You was unforgettable - Thank You to the people who donated the sunglasses and our friends from the line who gave up their Walgreen's hat for Dave to wear.

From two South Floridians, thank you DMB and thank you to the residents of the Bay Area!
