So excited to here Out of My Hands! Really was hoping for Warehouse and/or Halloween for encore but was satisfied with Don't Drink the Water. Not sure how WAYG made its way into the setlist as an encore. If its Dave, Its NEVER a bad show!!!

Awesome show in the heat! Pumped up versions of 'ants marching', '#41' and 'don't drink the water'! Cool surprise - 'out of my hands'! Missed 'halloween' -- but boo who on that.

Crowd was fired up! Dave was fired up! And the music was steamin' hot and rockin'!

Couldn't ask for more.

Thanks DMB!

Good show, although I felt the sound system was a little weak on the lawn. Other than that you'll never hear me complain about a dave show! 10TH ROW CENTER AT GORGE FRIDAY NIGHT!!!!!!

Overall at good show. But being my 4th time there is was a little disappointed at the set list as well as the energy..made me wonder if there were really any dave fans there? looked like a bunch of high school kids just hanging out.
maybe i just had high expectations?

Show #39 for me since '98 and probably the most disappointing (other than the Austin mosh-pit fiasco in '99).

Late to get on stage (8:23pm)...early to leave (10:43). I know the Woodlands fines acts if an absurd amount of money if they play past 11, so get on the damn stage earlier!!!! Short show...wish they had utilized Jeff and Timmy more.

Loved the covers...#41 was amazing...Bartender & DDTW were phenomenal. Enjoyed hearing cornbread and eehee.

Was really looking forward to ASTB into a suprise but no luck.

Anyone have any guesses who the "dear friend" he played WAYG for was???

The enenrgy was great in the front and center of the lawn. My friends Amber and Lolo got engaged at this show so that will always be a good memory! Show started off amazing, let up just a little and they killed it again by the end. Hearing DMB play Sledgehammer and Burnin Down the HOUSE was absolutely amazing. They rocked it! On to Dallas my friends...

Oustanding energy, Tim adds a whole other level to the band.

Pros:
Best SDL, #41, Ants and YMDT I've heard. Dave's voice was on top form and Tim & Jeff ripped it up on anything they touched.

Cons:
WAYG, but they soundchecked Shotgun?

The 6'5" ape in front of me

A little disappointed not to get Halloween, but just grateful to be there
(dmb_UK - yep, 5,000 miles from home)

I always have a good time when I go to the Woodlands and this year was no different, the energy was great and it looked like Dave and the rest of the band was having fun; however the set did have a few disappointments.

All I have to say is that whoever Dave's "really good friend" is sucks (you know, the one who got Dave to play WAYG) lol...I'd like to take a look at a copy of the setlist to see what was replaced in order to add that to the encore. Boo.

Still looking forward to Dallas and Berkeley!

Show was very different from year's past because of Dave's mood. He was more chatty than I have ever seen him. #41 was an added surprise and was a little disappointed that the encore was DDTW and Stay but that is what we got. The tour buses almost ran us over afterwards but I got a wave from Carter so that was a good way to end the night.

Since when was going to see Dave and boys not a time to celebrate? I really don't understand those of you that can't just enjoy shows for what they are. If you want to hear Halloween, etc. so bad, go home & put it on your iPod and stop whining . Go to the shows and have fun… otherwise, just stay home and listen to your perfect playlist! Was it the best show I ever went to? No. But it was an evening w/ Dave and the boys and that’s good enough!

After seeing the Alpine shows last weekend, I figured this couldn't match it, but this show still didn't have near the energy and song selection as the previous few Woodlands shows. A nice setlist for the radio fans, and I understand I can't avoid WAYG and Stay all the time, but I was hoping for a surprise or two, or at least Halloween (which I'm sure Dallas will get now). 41 was the highlight of the night - Jeff brings fantastic energy - with DDTW a close second. A solid show but a standard,
not-so-special setlist.

This was a show that begged the question: is a sub par DMB show better than no DMB show. And the answer is “yes”, but it can be rough at times.

Bartender and Nancies got things off to a surprising and interesting start, but the show went nowhere in a hurry after that with Lucky and then a string of songs that for the most part were nothing special in terms of set list or execution. I did enjoy Die Trying and the arrangement of Old Dirt Hill. Admittedly, the constant loud talking by the drunks to my right and in back of them did not help matters, especially during the ballads. And, where was Boyd between Nancies and Ants?

The last five songs of the main set, Burning Down The House thru Ants Marching, rescued this show and on their own rate a 4 or 5. The band kicked into a higher gear, the crowd was into it and the songs worked well together. The highlight of the night was probably #41 (was that a bit of Sojourn Rashawn tossed in with Jeff early on?) and I really liked Gravedigger. I also enjoyed Jeff and Tim being in the lineup.

You could actually hear moans throughout the audience as Dave launched the encore with WAYG! And, his choice to close with Stay sent a large number of people to the exits. Everyone has their personal preferences, but Water+Bridge+Billies would have been an outstanding nightcap on the heal of the five closers of the main set.

Another solid show from the guys. I'd hoped for a chance to sing along with Burning Down the House and Sledgehammer, and I wasn't disappointed.

I could've gone for some more new material (Shotgun, perhaps) instead of Old Dirt Hill or Where are you Going? (which are good songs, but don't seem any different live than they do on the album, in my humble opinion)

Dave was flopping around on stage in near-seizure-like antics during the jams, with plenty of Dave-speak between songs (including comments on the Texas heat, among other things). Always fun to watch.

First 3 songs were great, then the bottom fell out. If I never hear ODH, YMDT or WAYG again, I'd be a happy ant.

"Where are you going?" - I'm going to go smoke a jay because this song sucks!

41 was great, as was DDTW. This show is listed as last place on our rankings, and I never though the Woodlands would have that title...It used to be great, 2 night stands, great setlists, great energy and fans...What the F happened ?

Let's hope Dallas setlist is a little closer to what Cruzan, ALpine and Deer Creek were.....

Amazing. Dallas will no doubt get the better set list this year but there was some special moments last night. Ants Marching fell apart, which was almost hilarious as Dave literally looked at the audience, through up his hands and was like "WTF?" The slow, almost jazzy ODH was really, really awesome. Wasn't expecting that and I loved it. Tim should be a permanent addition, and I miss Roi but the guy standing in for him is right there! All in all a very satisfying show. Not in my Top 3 out of 26, but certainly a fine way to spend an evening. See ya next year boys.

Had not been to a show since 1997 or so. I had stopped listening to the band since Stand Up. This show totally reinvigorated my passion for this bands music. Loved the new line-up (since I figured Roi would be back). Tim adds so much to the show. I hope to see him around for many more years. Weather was good. Crowd was o.k. Music was great, even for a "standard" show. Inspired me to see two more shows this summer

Set list was mediocre, at best. Tim Reynolds kicked the intensity into over-drive. Felt like they were really missing Butch and Roi. Lost some of the more cerebral jazz jams which i've come to love. Ross and Coffin help, but they clearly don't know the songs well enough to fill in for Roi.

I thought the encore seemed phoned in. WAYG was a terrible way to begin, and DDTW and Stay need to take a little break.

The extended final jam on Ants was smoking, with Boyd cutting away as they ran through the final set of chords three or four times. High energy covers of Gabriel and Byrne also awesome. Loved Rashawn Ross on the backing vocals.

This concert was almost like the Louisville one I went to before it. I was verrrryyy disappointed. I was hoping for Halloween or Warehouse, since he did play those a couple nights in a row before this one. Sadly, I didn't get them.

Water/Wine jam was really good though, even though it's a slow paced song, I love it. DDTW was pumped up! I loved Bartender too, he said something like "God is not above you" and everyone just cheered.

Overall, worst concert I've been to. Worse than the Burgettstown 2nd night this year when he played 6 songs that he played the night before. Really disappointing David...

Still love ya though!!

This was honestly the worst DMB show I have ever seen in person and I have seen plenty. The show started out pretty good up through YMDT, and then the bottom dropped out of the set. The only three pretty cool things after YMDT were Grey Street, which coffin rips a great solo on; #41 which was a pretty good version in my opinion, but nothing spectacular (this song is hard to beat for me, cause I have seen so many amazing versions throughout the years); and lastly DDTW, which was pretty standard, but still packs some energy.

All of the other songs were absolutely nothing special. I am not even going to get into how horrible the covers were or ODH, Cornbread, Out of My hands or Where are you Going.

It is just very sad to me that DMB is such hit or miss now a days. About 50% of the one night stands are honestly not even worth the money you pay to get in the door. With that being said, I will never go to a one night show again.

A few good things: The venue was really nice, and meet some nice folks throughout the night.

So Damn Lucky's Extended version is just insane. #41 was awesome and so was bartender and dancing nancies. Watching dave dance to corn bread was awesome as well. I could have done without a few of the slow songs and Where Are You Going in the encore.

other than that... pretty fun show. Not great, but fun.

Just drove back to Baton Rouge from Houston and couldn't wait to see if I was alone in my disappointment in last night. Dayum....where in the hell did THAT come from last night. The setlist was a total trainwreck. What a shame too, because Dave seemed really animated, talking and shaking his thang! Several times Boyd looked bored out of his mind, with a "what-in-the-hell-am-I-doing-here" look. I told people around me to get ready for a WAYG encore and lo and behold, we were punished with it! Don't know if they were just tired or maybe missing LeRoi and Butch, but worst show in 15 years for me. I left before Stay was finished.....unheard of for me!!! Guess every night can't be a 5-star, but really disappointing after hearing about all the previous shows!!! I'll give 'em a "Get Out of Jail Free" card this one time! :)

I was honestly disappointed by the show tonight. I had high expectations from setlists from the previous 4 or so shows.

Solid opening three songs, but the set rapidly progressed downhill (YMDT, ODH, Cornbread, a welcomed break with Grey Street, and then the ultimate buzzkill, Out of My Hands.)

The setlist never felt like it flowed at all, and in my opinion was plagued with complete clunkers. The band played songs that failed to utilize its two greatest assets....TImmy and Jeff.

The encore was probably one of the bigger let downs of the night. WAYG was fairly boring and actually sounded worse without Butch.
DDTW was awesome. It should have taken the E1 spot. Stay was unfortunately spotted in the final E slot and really capped a largely disappointing night.

You see Alpine a couple nights ago, and then look at this..... = (

Some highlights of the night however....
#41 - really great!
Water/Wine - great to see this back!
Gravedigger/SDL - really cool full band!!
Sledgehammer- best cover of the summer, total fun!

Hope Dallas tomorrow is better!
