fantastic. just a great setlist.
a dream so real- im starting to realize how pretty this is. although i dont think it makes a great opening song
two step. #27. crush.- all good.
#34- dave mentioned it was his "one and only's" birthday. or something of that nature. he played it as a love song during which he sang just a tiny bit, i think he was saying "i love you more than anything" or somthing like that. but im glad they played this song. its a relaxing jam.
the idea of you with that tiny guitar thing.
dany barnes banjo time
dont drink the water. good energy.cornbread. as if its not hic enough haha. you might die trying. eh hee. rockin. lie in our graves. loong.
all soo good.
shotgun, another tiny guitar song. its good but it doesnt really seem whole.
#41 with john mayer. wow hes good at guitar. added alot to the song. im really happy they decided to do this one.
warehouse- stop time intro. not really into the woos but the band seems to enjoy it. pretty standard till dave started singing "how i love to stay hear" he made some sort of a drumming motion and carter went to playing a different beat, more on the cowbell sounds. a stage hand came out to the drumset and was fixing something for the enitre horn part including rashawn's solo. it sounded just fine if not better.
Exodus with the Marley clan. just awesome. love the flag guy haha.
Stay- i had a strong feeling they would play this.
American Baby Intro into Grey Street they segued this perfectly. i cant even describe it. i did see dave change his guitar. at first he was gonna take a different one but he motioned for the 12 string. as he put it on the video screen showed carter what looked to be saying "good call." it was cool how they did it, but i was sure they would play one more song. just a tiny bit put off when they didnt. end the entire tour with grey street? not expected. maybe thats why they did it. still this was a fantastic show.

John Mayer stated something along the lines of "I am who I am because of the Dave Matthews Band."

The BEST DMB show that I have ever seen. "I am who I am because of Dave Matthews Band." Absolutley EPIC and when you thought it could not get any better, Stephen Marley shows up with Ziggy. Not to mention the best version of #34 Dave has ever played. Don't Drink the Water was sweet with the banjo as well. Awesome show!

First Exodus for me so I loved that! I LOVE the new songs especially Eh Hee. And 41 with Mayer was great even though I don't really like his own music. I love that he gave props to DMB for being a major influence.

My 38th show and first time seeing the last night of the tour! It was amazing and great to see the crew come out! I wish I was up there with them all to share the pride of a well done season! Thanks to Jamie for coming out too, it always makes a difference if you have someone to share the show with.

Being the picky person I am for sound, they REALLY need to mix Fonz's bass a lot louder. Every show I've been to, including the show in 05 where I sat in front of the subs, the low end from him just wasn't enough. He cut through fine soloing and during quiet parts. Otherwise, this is an amazing venue to see them at and the best I've personally heard and seen. Major kudos to the lighting crew utilizing the house lights built into the arches of the stage.
Agreeing with some other reviews, the Hollywood crowd is on the older side. Both nights here the people surrounding myself weren't into as much as I thought they would be.
Song review wise:
A Dream So Real * - New one for myself to hear live. Have heard bits of it from tapers. Enjoyed it a lot and could sense the show was going to get huge.
Two Step * - Anytime TS is played is amazing. The crowd was into it from the first drum hit. Had me dancing until the last note.
#27 * - Second time hearing it live. Great song and can't wait until it's on an album.
Crush * - FINALLY! I've been wanting to hear this at every show I've been to and literally had to wait 4 years to get it. Always amazing (needed more bass though)
#34 * - Rare, amazing, need I say more?
The Idea Of You * - Another new one I've personally never heard. Can't wait to hear it again.
Don’t Drink the Water *+ - I was thinking about what they might play for this show and nailed it on the head for this one. Lots of power throughout the entire song. Crowd reaction was strong.
Corn Bread *+ - One of my new favorites. Banjo added a lot to it and hope they incorporate it into a possible album version.
You Might Die Trying *+ - If it weren't for Danny on banjo, I would have said no to this song. The best version I've heard of it was in 05 at HDC. It had my pant legs flapping.
Eh Hee *+ - This song kicks ass plain and simple. Glad to have heard it again for this show. You can tell the guys have a lot of fun with it.
Lie In Our Graves *+ Banjo was beautiful on this song. He caught on quickly to the changes and it made him shine like no other. I hope a taper was there!
Shotgun * Like it, still think it needs some work. Our whole section was sitting down for it.
#41 *~ John Mayer?! Holy crap. I did not expect him at all. The song is always amazing especially with a guest soloist. He brought so much charisma and energy to it. Best I've ever heard. Heck, they should have labeled this #41 ~ Everyday. Never in my life would I have thought there could be a transition to that song other than #36. Dave improvised on it beautifully.
Warehouse * - Always a crowd pleaser. As much as I like the "Woo's", I was hoping to hear the original intro like they did a few shows back.
Exodus *Ä - I've only ever heard taper versions of this, and have to say ours was wayyyy better.
Ziggy and Stephen made this song come alive. Loved how they were getting Dave to sing with them in the same mic. Got a laugh out of me.
Stay (Wasting Time) * - One of my personal favorites amd was happy the sound guys really upped the backing vocals.
__________________
American Baby Intro * - Not my first choice by a long shot for an encore song. It was as good as the two other times I've heard it live and with even more power from Dave's vocals. The transition into GS was seamless.
Grey Street * - I've always loved this song. I however did not think they'd end the show and ultimately the tour with it. I think myself and the crowd were hoping for another song or even another encore. I could tell Dave was contemplating what he was going to play by switching guitars twice.
Show Notes:
* Rashawn Ross
+ Danny Barnes
~ John Mayer
Ä Stephen and Ziggy Marley
5|| Members of The Stephen Marley Band
indicates a segue into next song
Overall: Best show I've personally ever seen.

That was one awesome show. Everything about it was fantastic. The highlights were definitely seeing John Mayer in the crowd and then him playing in #41 and then having Exodus played. Also #34 was a great treat to see. But the energy for me at least was very good.

Holy Fuck, what an evening this was. I nearly shit myself during #34, Exodus was funky and such a nice rare treat. I've never danced so much as I did to Stay and Warehouse. I definitely morphed during these two songs. So many highlights. This show had no low points for me. I had a hell of a good good time. Hollywood 2007 was out of this world. This summer tour was great, and I hope I can make a trip to see the boys again next summer. See ya.

Phenomenal performance by the guys. Regardless of all the special guests this show had, I felt like the band really shined on its own. Obviously #34 was a great treat. YMDT trying was just slammin. Butch was killin it on Two Step. Way to step it up Butch. Roi has been super strong the last 4-5 shows too. A little disappointing to get Grey Street closer, but shit happy to have what we got no doubt!!!

Great last night - Danny Barnes got down to business and fit in much better than the night before - great moment when John Mayer walked out, by G/f loves this guy and it made her night. Stephen and Ziggy onstage - a real treat to hear them knock out exodus - and a very sweet moment when Dave did # 34 in honor of his one true love who was having her 34th birthday that night - I hope he meant his wife! The whole crew came out and was introduced - you just get the feeling that dave and his gang are a truly great bunch of people. Thanks to them for such a great show -

Decent show, crappy crowd. Never have I ever been to a Dave show where people didnt dance. Any time someone tried to stand up, they were immediately booed. Add this to the list of reasons we hated LA and only lasted there a year and a half! My friend home in Pittsburgh kept texting me as the real-time setlist updated, and I kept texting back, yes, awesome, no, we still cant dance.

This was a great show, and a great way to end the tour. The only thing keeping it from being 5-stars was the banjo player, Danny Barnes, whose style I really don't like. He seemed to be having spasms while playing, racing up to play a single loud note high up on the banjo fretboard that didn't usually mix well with what the rest of the band as playing. But beyond that, John Mayer was amazing on #41 and Exodus with the Marleys was great. Lots of new songs played.

EPIC night!! Phenomenal setlist with so many highlights: #34 dedicated to Dave's wife who was there for her 34th bday [how sweet/awesome is that?]; #41 w/ John Mayer [surprisingly good]; and the epic end to the night that I was praying for: Exodus with Ziggy & Stephen Marley [so freaking cool!!]. Those almost overshadow what would be standouts for any other average show: Eh Hee, Lie In Our Graves, 2step, #27 - great, great night! Side note bonus for me - a good friend there with me got #41 for her 41st bday too - Happy 41st Janice!

My first DMB show. I know that makes me lame, but whatevs. I'd been reading not so great reviews so I went with low expectations. It was fabulous I must say, despite the fact that I was apparently seated in the section with the folks from the neighborhood nursing home. The energy was great, and it was awesome to see guest appearances by Mayer and Marley. It was the last show on their run, and also my birthday, and I can't imagine a better way I could've spent it. Whoohoo!

What a way to end the tour!!! This is my first tour-ending show, and I'm hooked -- I want to go to every final show from now on. Awesome guests -- I don't really care for John Mayer, but he was spectacular on 41, and he really grew in my estimation with his comments about DMB. I've never seen a crowd go so crazy as they did when Dave announced John. My only disappointment was Gray Street as an ender -- I would've loved to see Last Stop or Watchtower. But all in all, this is the best show I've seen this year, and maybe the best I've seen for a few years now.

A Warehouse or Ticketmaster rep came to our box before Stephen Marley went on stage and asked if there was a Maria in our group. Being honest, we said no. After he left, we looked at our tickets, which were a gift, and sure enough, there was Maria's name right there at the top! We could have been watching the show from the pool!
