most phenomenal show... capped off my first weekend at the gorge. LIOG is one of my favorite concert songs to hear, and I knew that the reprise was coming (went to Cinci earlier in the summer). That jsut sends CHILLS down my spine.

This was a great show! First time hearing #41, and I just knew it was coming. Had a great time hearing #27, The Maker and Grace is Gone in a row. Top notch show. Had a great time for my first weekend at the Gorge! Can't wait to come back and see the boys do it again!

OK...Dream So Real opener again. ?? Seek Up once again rescues the mood. Not sure how Dreamgirl fit into the equation between Crash Into Me and Cornbread but...whatever...Bartender was solid and much needed to echo along the walls of the Gorge. OSW-Eh Hee-41-Watchtower-27-Maker was a very strange run but what fun to dance! GIG, PNP-R, Ants was a nice closer and having Butterfly appear as the first encore made this a bittersweet goodbye. Great tour.

I thought the show was pretty good. Dave lost his voice but still gave it all he could. highlights for me was watchtower where RR tore it up in his solo as usual. I also enjoyed seek up and Grace was Gone finished nicely. I saw dave turn down the 12 string towards the end, perhaps we were going to get Sweet Up, oh well. All in all I had a awesome time this weekend and making the trip back to NY as I type.

Sunday night show was one of my favorites in ten years - the wind stayed down and acoustics were crystal clear in the Gorge, band energy was through the roof on Cornbread plus Robert Randalph blew the doors off when he came onstage for Watchtower.

I loved the show. For me it was the first time hearing Crash and Bartender. Too bad his voice was going away...to me thats what makes Bartender great. Watchtower was great as well. See ya next year. Who were the two guys sitting at either end of the stage....how do you get that job?

My last night a the Gorge and I wasn't letting the set ruin it for me so my highlights... Seek up!, Mid Watchtower with RR! Amazing, Cornbread, #27, Eh Eeh just keep getting better better! Rapun and closed with Ants! I'm ok with them ending with ED cause I was at the Gorge! All in all the whole weekend was a little slice of heaven with a little bit of Hell yeah!

Never seen the band open up two nights in a row with the same song. A Dream So Real. I enjoyed it, but it set a lot of people off on the wrong foot who were at the night before. It's a strange song to open with anyways. Eh Hee and Seek Up were memorable. Very warm evening.

A great, great way to end the weekend at the Gorge. Was my first time hearing Watchtower live, and with Robert Randolph too?! And then also hearing The Maker, which I love...I was in heaven. The LIOG reprise continued from Friday was the coolest thing I've ever heard. Expected something amazing after that...but had to settle for Everyday. Still a great night regardless.

I really wish Dave would have stopped apologizing for his voice being affected by the "desert air". If he hadn't pointed it out so much, I wouldn't have noticed it as much. But I realize he's a showman and he honestly feels as if he's letting the crowd down because his voice is harshed on night three at the Gorge and he's still got another month of touring to go.
The only reason I don't give the show a 5th star is because Dave's voice forced him (and I know it's not your fault, Dave!) to change the way he wanted to sing.
Heard "A Dream So Real" and "Corn Bread" for the third night in a row. Usually there's a bit more variety in a Sunday night at the Gorge. Dave alluded to some hijinks with some "Sunday night" comments, but everything was actually fairly similar to the prior two nights - save for Dave's voice.
"Watchtower" with Robert Randolph was smoking hot.
We brought in 600 glow sticks to entertain our 2 1/2 year old, who enjoyed his 9th Gorge show. We ended up entertaining a sizeable portion of the upper bowl with the glow sticks :)
On the walk back to the campground, we were stopped at a road crossing by security. I had my son on my back in the backpack and was the first person stopped to make way for the band's tour buses as they left the venue. All the members of the band were either standing up in the front stairway or hanging out the windows of their buses. Rashawn was hanging out the window, and I must say, it looked pretty funny!
The final bus had two motorbike escorts, and the security guard who had stopped us said "That will be Dave's bus". Sure enough, there's Dave, standing right in the stairwell of his bus, waving right at us as he rides by not more than 10 feet from us, with the bus going about 10 mph. My son is in his backpack on my back, yelling "Dave's in his bus!" "Dave's in his bus!" "Dave's in his bus!". So cool!
A surreal and amazing ending to a great night and a great weekend of DMB!

My third show and the first at the Gorge. Incredible! Those guys always come to play. Watchtower was unbelievable. I love Robert Randolph. The crowd was so mellow. The first show I've been to for years where everyone lit up. Just the way it should be. The stage was really cool. A perfect show in a truly incredible setting. See you next year.

A Dream So Real to open AGAIN? WTF? Other than that faux pas, this show was crazy. As was said before, a great mix of new and old, but had a lot of the "old" favorites, which was great. Kind of disappointed with Butterfly and only Everyday as the encore, but what can you do? Can't wait for Tech on Thursday! (wish I had reserved seats, anyone wanna switch?)

Another terrific show at the gorge. I thought the band would be totally off the hook tonight, but they seemed a little reserved. Perhaps, since they originally had scheduled a week off but now are going to play at VA Tech., they were saving some energy for later in the week. Looking back on the whole weekend, it was what I have come to expect and cherish about the gorge. The band and the audience make for a great vibe, where a listener can kick back and enjoy the music with few distractions. Come to think of it, I can't remember a single instance of someone yelling, "Two Step," "Halloween," or "#41." Thank y'all for a great weekend!

Good show, good mix of old and new, always good to hear seek up, osw, #41. Nice bartender, suprise maker, Robert Randolf tore it up on Watchtower. Dave's voice was shot- he couldn't hit any of the high notes- Boyd stepped in at the end of Everyday and was singing the #36 part "Honey honey, come and dance with me". New song #27 has potetnial.
Nice crowd- thanks to Berto and the two Lindsays for hangin' out.

The Gorge is easily the most unbelievable place to watch a concert, and Watchtower with Randolph was easily the best song I've ever heard at a DMB concert (I've been to 8 shows). It was also nice hearing #41 and Grace is Gone again. But to open with one of DMB's worst songs ever and to set up the Halloween encore perfectly only to end with Everyday made the night pretty disappointing. A dozen people around me yelled for Halloween at the end, and they were disappointed, too. If this had been my first or second DMB show, I would have been blown away, so I know DMB has spoiled me because of the shows they've put on in the past, and now with each time I go I hope for a little more. However, this was Gorge N3, so I think expecting to be blown away by more than one song wasn't unrealistic. Oh well - lesson learned. Apparently Dave had SUAD and ABI on the setlist and didn't play them, probably because of his hoarsey voice, so that's disappointing. Still glad I went. Next time I need to do all 3 shows together!

Best show of my life! I really defined the entire night by seeing watchtower with randolph, but it was just the best night for a lot of reasons. Having been twice it was fun knowing almost how or what to pay attention to or just how to soak in the night. Me and my buddy ended up sitting in the same adjacent seats as the nice people we 'bonded' with on the first night. Almost a cosmic night of sorts having that kinda luck or serendipity i guess... The sunset and weather was by far the best on the third night and i learned that its almost more of an issue to get a centered seat position than a close proximity to the stage because my view was by far the best but was not the closest. The lighting was right on all night and made for a great vibe and energy in the crowd, and even though dave cut two songs on account of a scratchy voice, he still cracked out a great closer and made a great way to remember the planning of the sets with the return of lie in our graves for the outro ending... Never forget this one i'm sure.
