They had a great setlist, with a lot of songs from SU and BTCS. Cornbread and Eh Hee were amazing, and ending with All Along the Watchtower made the night. If the weather had cooperated more, the evening would have been better.

This was only my second show, but I thought it was MUCH better than Monday. Maybe it was the weather and the way they played put together, but it was a night I'll never forget.

Oh my dear lord. I hope everybody else enjoyed it because I sure had an amazing time. Ended up with pretty good seats in the pavillion with a buddy of mine and our minds were continuously blown from song to song. And the band was kicking tonight, what energy!
A storm delay was put into effect the and beginning of the show was postponed, but Dave made the announcement, which made it all that much cooler. "This one's not to be messed with apparently."
Anyone Seen The Bridge > Too Much
Wow, what a great opener. Dave really got the crowd going on this one. Very solid performance on both songs.
Dreamgirl
I was moving around seats during this song, so I wasn't completely into it. A typical (but solid) Dreamgirl.
You Might Die Trying
Fucking killed. Never heard a more powerful performance of this song.
Crush
One of my favorites, so I was very excited to hear it live. Stefan was having a good good time tonight.
#27
Very mellow but cool song live. I dug it.
Corn Bread 8^0
The song simply rocked tonight. No other way to put it. Really dug it.
Don't Drink The Water
Did not see this coming at all, but I was all over this song. Awesome.
Grey Street
One of my early favorie Dave songs. I was psyched to hear it live. Great tune after great tune...
#40 (tease)
I'd say he played more than a tease. He played a decent portion... and yes it was beautiful. A little hard to hear him though.
Gravedigger
Chilling. Awesome. Really really dug it.
Eh Hee
So cool. Very powerful live.
The Idea Of You
Brought it back after last year... still beautiful.
Stand Up
I actually enjoyed the hell out of this song too. They really jammed it out, and the crowd was throwing it right back at him.
Jimi Thing
Another old favorite. Great to finally hear it. Great crowd participation on the breakdown.
Louisiana Bayou
Maybe not a huge fan favorite. But this rocked tonight.
Everyday
Beautiful song with a sparkling crowd.
Stay
A very solid Stay. Nailed it.
*Encore*
I was booing along with the crowd for the "Drive safely" signs as well. I had to. But they weren't gone for long.
#40 (Tease)
This was more of a tease. I took it as a little reprise. I thought it was cool, but was completely floored when he started strumming into...
So Damn Lucky
Beautiful. Some Devil was the first album that got me into Dave, so this song's an old favorite as well. Dave's an angel on that guitar.
All Along The Watchtower
They said they'd play past the curfew for us and goddamnit, I thank em for it. It's pretty rare to get a show going until 11:20 at DTE. But holy shit they kept bringing it into Watchtower. Amazing. Although I'm sure all the enthusiastic (perhaps a little buzzed :^) Hey I'd be lying if I said I wasn't) folks around me were a huge addition to my enjoyment of the show.
Amazing energy with an incredible atmosphere. The storm left a steady breeze going all night under a chalky black sky with lightning cracking behind it. Hope everybody enjoyed the show, I sure as hell did. My second show after last year's 6.6.06 and certainly far from my last.

A decent show overall. Not outstanding, but much better than last year at Pine Knob (06-06-06). It was good to hear a fair amount of new material. I would have liked to see DMB continue with closing shows with songs other than Watchtower. But Stefan had a good night and it showed with the ASTB opener all the way through closing with Watchtower.
Opening the show with ASTB seemed rather rare and was a good way to pump the crowd up.

This show WAS awesome and some songs WERE unbelievable. Those who like WackoJacko think that this show sucked or want some of what some other people are smoking should probably lay off the smoking for a while. You probably know one DMB song, Crash Into Me because you heard it on the radio in 1996. You should probably never talk about Dave Matthews Band again, thanks.

Great show. The weather kind of calmed the crowd a little but still a great set list. The new songs rocked! And the Watchtower closer was very fitting! And one little point on WackoJacko's comments below; You obviously need to start going to see a different band then or something! Your user name says it all "WACKO!"

Great show. The rain delay was pretty crazy, but it was worth the wait. The show started off real strong and the energy was high until the very end. Some highlights were ASTB->Too Much, Crush, #27, Cornbread, Gravedigger, Eh Hee, Stand Up, Everyday (the crowd was really into this one and Dave looked like he was having the time of his life), So Damn Lucky, and All Along the Watchtower. Great show and I can't wait to see DMB back at Pine Knob in '08!!!

AThe Rain & T/L were nice. It sucked getting wet & cold but made for some funny blopers of people walking up (or trying to) the hill. Music was on all night, set list could have been better. There were just alot of new songs that I did not know. My Friend Chris had a blast and it was his first DMB show.

Storm situation and energy they brought a half an hour after the original start made up for the bitterness i still have when it comes to Seek Up being cut... I would think he'd cut a new song and a dave solo... it IS the Dave matthews BAND afterall. Weird energy in the middle. the run up to grey street was very enjoyable though. love 27 and cornbread. felt ripped off though without shotgun in a setlist all of a sudden... that song is 30 times better than Idea of You. I'll take 3 of the 06 shows I attended over this one though.

What a great venue for a DMB show. We took the fast ferry from Milwaukee and rode our bikes along the michigan coast. Due to traffic we arrive late - missed the excitement of the earlier storms. Once we got the poacher out of our seats (I have no problem with someone using an open seat but when we get there don't try to pretend you aren't poaching). This is 3rd show this year and looking forward to 2 more at alpine.

I hesitate to say lackluster...but it left me wanting more. Still loved some individual songs like Cornbread, so damn lucky, idea of you...but of all the shows I've seen DMB play, this one did not do it for me. Sure was great to have good seats again and I'm grateful to have caught the band again. I was also grateful for the rain delay. The crowd was huge, good fan vibe.

This show is easily in my top 5. Rain delay sucked but I think it might have given us a better show then we might have gotten. Dave seemed very apologetic and promised "a rock show" We got one!!!
Too many good songs to review them all, but I will say that "Louisiana Bayou" needs to find the fucking shelve already. IMHO That is the only reason this show didn't get 5 stars from me.

I woke up the morning of the show singing "So Damn Lucky". Can't believe he played it as an encore. I think the only thing that would have made the show better for me would have been 41, The Stone or Dreaming Tree. Great show. It was awesome for me to see the jaw dropping, head-shaking viruosity of these guys so close. And I made some new friends and saw some old ones.

Amazing show. Dave came out before the rain hit to announce a delay in the performance and invited the lawn seats to join in under the pavilion to stay dry. I took my chances with the storm. I think the band came out more energized because of the crowd. Through the entire thunderstorm we cheered! DMB took notice and gave us a show to remember.

Overall, a really great show! Having the rain delay actually built the the excitement and anticipation. I also thought it was cool to hear my first Dave public service announcement...Chuck Gaidica watch out! It was also cool that people were responsible about going back to the lawn once it was time. Dave fans=good people!
A few hightlights for me included:
Overall very good improvisation from the band. Butch was tearing it up...if I remember correctly he had an AMAZING solo on Jimi where he was singing (ala Bud Powell) while playing his solo. Roi and Boyd were strong as well. I also wanted to state again that Rashan Ross is a huge (Pun intended) addition to the band. He is awesome!
I loved Don’t Drink the Water and Grey Street is my fav, so I can't complain. It was the first time I heard Corn Bread and Eh Hee and the verdict is still out on them for me. I liked the energy of Eh Hee but the chorus was kinda thrown together. It will be interesting to hear how these evolve.
I don't why so many people complain about Louisiana Bayou, it is IMHO one of the best jam tunes in their library. There was a really special moment in Everyday where everyone broke out their DTE furnished flashlights. It was cool to look back from the pavillion to see all of the lights...Just awesome!
I liked the solo Gravedigger and So Damn Lucky and Watchtower is always a great choice for a closer! Overall great show! i enjoyed it much more than Toyota Park (My other 2007 show).
Due to all the rain, their was a ton of rain on the hill and this resulted in many people falling in the mud on their way out, but people took it in stride and has some fun with it!
Great show DMB...keep on rocking!

Great show! The rain delay (and massive push of people to get under the pavillion) and crazy muddy lawn made for an interesting experience, but didn't ruin the evening. Heard some of my favorites (You Might Die Trying, The Idea of You, Grey Street) and had a good time. Excited to see them again!

Not the greatest show by any means, but it was nice that there was a solid balance between old and new songs. I'm much more of an old school DMB fan and it is my personal belief that their greatest tour was the 1998 tour. This was my 4th outing to a DMB show and it was also probably the smallest crowd (due to venue size, it was sold out), but that is a good thing. DTE is a pretty good place to see a show. I had actually been there two weeks prior to see 311 and Matisyahu. I do feel it necessary to give Dave and the band some extra credit for playing until 11:30 due to the rain delay (and impressive lightning display). I couldn't help but laugh at the merchandising opportunities for such occasions when I saw people sporting DMB ponchos. I mean seriously, I guess it is a nice convenience to have them available but since the rest of their merchandise is ridiculously overpriced, I don't even want to know what people paid for those stupid things.
As for the show: I guess the highlights for me would be Everyday since this was the first time I've seen them play it, Crush and Jimi Thing were pretty good and jammed out, and Dreamgirl is one of the few songs I actually like from the Stand Up album which I mostly feel was a sad and half-assed atempt at an album. I feel that they are better than that album would have me believe and I think they know that. The low point of the show was mostly long periods of silence in between songs. I don't know if they had some technical problems, but they didn't seem to be bringing their A game in that department. It felt like they were dragging their heels a little. As for low points in set selection I guess the only real complaint for me would be the fact that I HATE LOUISIANA BAYOU!!!! Why the hell is this song so popular?! It would be fine if he would just sing the word bayou instead of doing that awful fucking hickup sound ant the end of it. That seriously would make the song at least tolerable. As it stands however, that is the most fucking annoying song that they have ever performed and I would be delighted to see it go away and never show its fuck ugly face again. Oh, and Stefan is a jerk for playing the bass line from Dreaming Tree in his solo. I forgive him because I know he wrote that song and at least we got to hear Watchtower, but it's just mean to taunt us with such things. And finally speaking of Watchtower. This is a message to some of the people in the crowd around me that I overheard. To set the record straight, JIMI HENDRIX DID NOT WRITE THAT FUCKING SONG!!! IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW THAT IT WAS WRITTEN BY BOB DYLAN THEN KEEP YOUR DUMB ASS MOUTH SHUT. (Granted: the Jimi Haendrix version of the song is and probably always will be the best. Just give credit where it is due and don't talk about things you don't know for fact.)
All in all. Thanks to DMB for a good show and not canceling.

Great show. So awesome for Dave to come out and say they would play past curfew. Last years crowd was pretty mellow but this years crowd had a lot more life. ASTB --> TM was a nice way to start. Hearing all the new stuff, except Shotgun, was sweet. There was a #40 tease before Gravedigger and when he sang the lyrics I went nuts. Two #40 teases in a show sucks kinda though. The crowd wanted more when he teased it before SDL. Stand Up was kinda sweet. Lawlor put some new life into it. Overall great set and energy. Sad that there was no Shotgun but other than that it was good. And I loved Rashawn sporting the Shuan Rogers jersey.

The setlist was ok. I don't get why anyone likes stand up. That has to be the worst song they've ever written. Other than that, they had great energy. The endings to YMDT, Crush, and Everyday made the entire show. They jammed those songs out real nice at the end. This is the only show i am going to so i was happy. But if i was following them around like i used to i would be very upset about the lack of variety in the setlists the last 3 shows or so.

Other than the new songs, this show and setlist was horrible. It was a cookie cutter show just like most of the tour and the setlist is so OVER PLAYED. Nothing unpredictable or exciting, Dave really needs to find some new motivation and to the people that say "this show was awesome" "that song was unbelivable" I really need to get some of the stuff you are smoking.
