This is one of my favorite shows that I have ever seen. This was because it was Dave and Tim solo, which is one show that I was dying to see for the longest time. Plus, going to NYC with my father as a special occasion just to see Dave and Tim was an awesome experience to have with my dad. Plus, before the show, we met some pretty cool people. All in all, it was a great experience, and I'm so glad I was able to experience it.

Look...I'm as big a Dave fan as anyone else, if not bigger...but the truth is, I bought a ticket to this show because of the potential it had in terms of a venue, and in terms of it being the last show Dave and Tim might EVER PLAY. However, the truth is, the caliber of the Dave and Tim experience isn't what it used to be. The detail in Tim's guitar work isn't there, not only in the jams, but THROUGHOUT the song. Listen to the Live at Luther 41 and compare it to this one...NO COMPARISON. THIS IS NOT BECAUSE DAVE OR TIM DOES NOT HAVE THE ABILITY...the truth is, the reason Dave and Tim cannot play like they used to is because of the FANS. The fans, thinking they are being good fans, ruin songs like #41 by shouting "im coming HEEERRREEE!" off KEY in the first verse, in which it is supposed to be left as a quiet, more softly delivered part of the verse...it isnt until the SECOND verse that this more passionate exclamation occurs....ARE U SERIOUS PEOPLE??!! YOU ARE RUINING THE SONG!!!! Dave expressed that "Live at Luther College" sounded so good because of a combination of AN ACOUSTICALLY PERFECT VENUE AND RESPECTFUL FANS WHO DIDN'T SHOUT THROUGH THE SONGS. AGAIN, Listen to the 41 on Luther, and listen to the 41 from this show....NO comparison. I can rattle off quote after quote from various shows when Dave says, PLEASE, make AS MUCH NOISE AS YOU CAN BETWEEN THE SONGS, BUT DURING THEM, IF YOU COULD NOT TALK AT ALL, IT WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED, BECAUSE ME AND TIM REPRESENT THE SOFTER SIDE OF MY MUSIC!!! You think that was a good Lie in Our Graves? Listen to the Whitmore Center Lie in our Graves from 1996...That jam is TRANSCENDENT to say the least, compared with the monotone, relatively uncomplicated jam at Radio City. If fans would just SHUT THE F UP and LET THE MEN PLAY, then the true potential of their genius would be allowed to shine through, and another Live at Luther College would be born. The tempo would be up, because Dave and Tim would be able to HEAR THEMSELVES THINK without worrying about his concentration being broken by unruly fans...The acoustics of this venue are amazing...and the fans ruined it...all in all, disappointed, not because of the set, and not because of the ability of the musicians, but because of the fans...sorry guys, you suck.

Wow! The show was amazing! Unfortunately I missed the second encore, had school on Monday and attempted to be responsible. Now I am full of regret.

Review:
Could have been a lot better. Double encore, DVD mention were great...but set was lacking and extremely repetitive from previous night. Don't get me wrong, seeing them pretty much any time is good...but, as someone else mentioned, he actually talked too much...and I'm a fan of DaveSpeak as much as the next guy. It really made the show disjointed. In a vacuum, good show. With perspective, mediocre. Sorry for not being Mr. OMGITWASTHEAWESOMEST, but I assume anyone reading this might actually want something resembling a critique.

DVD!!! This is a dream come true for me, I flew 1,000 miles for this show, totally worth it. First time Dave played the piano for the song Ive wanted to hear ever since the album came out, Out of My Hands. Chills, tears...unreal. This is my fourth Dave & Tim show and my 17th Dave show overall....and i never thought id be able to say this, but it was by far the best Dave show ive EVER been to period. Usually at Dave and Tim shows you sit and listen, bob your head, tap your foot, and share some laughs.. but the ENERGY they put out in NYC that night was UNREAL. People standing up dancing especially during Lie In Our Graves and the second Encore. I went to all three D&T shows out east and the other two didnt even compare to NYC. And the weather the whole trip was perfect....this show was the perfect conclusion to the weekend, Thank you Dave!

This was one of the most amazing shows I have ever been to. To see Dave play the piano was such a treat and was amazing! And to think my best friend and I were about to leave the building and Dave and Tim came back out for a second encore #41 and Two Step, what can I say! We got to see it from orchesta level without security saying a thing! Can't wait for the DVD/CD release!!!!!!!!!! The only thing that was negative thought was it never fails some stupid, drunk, loud girl ruined the first half of the show! We had to lay it down and had her removed by security and thank god because no sooner was she removed she puked all over the hall way! Thanks to all the other true fans for getting her the heck out of there!

Amazing show!! Double Encore, the best acoustics, Dave played the piano, the background images of lighting, all amazing! There was a girl next to us, of course, who has to be loud and obnoxious and almost threw up on herself. Too bad she missed the show when she got booted out but it helped the whole 700 section of the 2nd mezzanine enjoy the show!!

What an awesome show! This was my 68th show and I hadn't seen Dave and Tim since 1996 - wow I forgot just how amazing they are together. I couldn't believe Dave played the piano. It felt like we were all just hanging out with Dave, listening to his stories and some great music. It made me miss how Dave used to talk so much more at shows many years ago. Just an awesome way to end a beautiful spring day in NYC.

Sweet show!!! I had a business trip and did not buy a ticket as the trip was planned well after tickets went on sale. I expected to find someone willing to sell an extra ticket. Scans on seller sites had tickets listed at $400+. I waited outside and some folks sold me their ticket stub. I was able to catch more than half the concert. Dave and Tim put on a great show.

this was a really special concert. tim draws sounds out of his guitar that are out of this world. great set list. dave was in rare form dealing with a chest cold and typically loud male fans ("i love you, dave"). i was 11th row, thank you warehouse. and had a perfect view of dave on the piano. dave's wild and meandering thoughts were over the top. funny, funny guy. "this room is good".

Oh my god... What an AWESOME show... Two encores, #41 and Cornbread .... not to mention Dave on the Piano!!! I honestly have no words to describe this show!! Hopefully the DVD comes out... I'll be the guy outside waiting in line to get in, displaying my firedancer tattoo with the words... "For all the loneliness that nobody notices now" on my back.... dead center!!.... Simply amazing! I hate the Warehouse! There were people from Mississippi that got approved for tickets, which were really cool, but still.... Mississippi.... Come on now.... Cant wait to see them in Camden this summer!!!

Dave & Tim sounded great, loved the lighting and sound...I was really nervous that douchebag fans would be too loud but it wasn't that bad. it's a sit down concert, and for the most part, people understood that. loved old dirt hill and the davespeak he gave right before it. thought still water and bartender were the best surprises, they did them really well. highlight was definitely LIOG, NANCIES, & TWO STEP...also, tim's so tiny!
