The best of the two nights in C'ville, really really enjoyed this show...I was incredibly wasted bc I didn't have to drive this night. Certainly the number one highlight of the show was RR and Carter just straight up dueling during Two Step, one of the longer versions I've ever heard! This concert series deserves to be a LiveTrax vol.7 just bc of the first night and of course it was in Charlottesville.

Kind of a hit and miss show, meaning one good song into another song that I could do with-out. Night one definantly had it moments and if the goal was to have you walking out thirsting for more then the band did their job....
By far the highlight of the night was Rhyme and Reason, easliy one of the best versions i have heard. Crash into Two Step was phenominal, RR on the steel pedal just adds an earie and haunting element to the song

Good, upbeat -- new songs were great. Shared beverage with strange guy next to me. His friend smuggled it in her bra. Left side leaked and got shirt soaked.

Great Show. Not the best setlist in my opinion, but the versions of every song were mega-kickass. Best version of Two Step ever....Carter was channeling the gods of drumming and then telling them they were his bitch. Phenominal Show.

Show was awesome, drove four hours from Raleigh to go to the show,, my buddy got 11th row seats through warehouse, which were sick,, closest ive been,, the TWO STEP was unfreakin real, R & R was great, finally got to hear sATellite, best song of the night had to be CANT STOP,, alot of people might disagree, but it was something else. from start to finish, great show, great night,, raleigh in 05 still takes the cake for me, but this one was real close

so basically I thought N1 started out with a bang
punzal and ED were really good IMO Loved the whole 36 verse in ED
My 1st Proudest!
Wifey loves Satellite so its all good
Hunger, don't mind it cause its short and it hits pretty hard at the end
IDOY is just an awesome new song, glad I got to hear it again
Now R&R was just incredible! I couldn't say anything except Holy shit after this performance
Bayou, Can't stop, YMDT were all just fillers for me but enjoyed them for sure
SMS >> Too Much is always a joy for me!
After the show was kinda of a cluster but we ended hangin with some great people we knew we still had one more night.......I still feel bad about Pedro but anyway we hugged and made up
Missed the scat in Jimi
Crash, Dave explained why he plays so much so ok
and then the sickest part of the show! Two Step! Best I've every heard anywhere
1st Sister and its so refreshing to get so right for some reason
and who doesn't love hearing Ants

Overall, a solid show slightly above par. PNP--> Rapunzel was flawless, then Everyday slowed the pace significantly. The HoneyHoney/HaniHani chants were a little off, especially when the band tried to lead them but then backed out. Proudest Monkey into Satellite was, in view of the other setlists, more than predictable. In spite of overwelmingly negative response to the song by the fanbase, the band insisted on playing Hunger. There's something about the way great energy can save an absolutely horrific song, and that's exactly what the boys did. The Idea of You was standard. Rhyme and Reason with Joe Lawlor was off the hook -- so much so that I now like the song. The electric guitar just brings in a whole new element. I was a little disappointed to hear Bayou without Robert Randolph, but in view of the next show that's alright. Bla bla bla up until Two Step. Robert Randolph really accentuated the song in an unusual fasion on steel pedal guitar. Pretty standard encore but great to see So Right resurrected.

Pretty good start, nothing specatcular but second half of show was incredible. BY FAR the best R&R and even better Two Step...best I've ever heard...like a 25 min jam included!!! Carter is friggin amazing...Robert Randolph couldn't keep up with him, even throwing up his hands at one point. Carter is now the best drummer ever surpassing Tommy Lee in my mind!

In my opinion, one of the best DMB shows of all time. It was the kick off of JPJ arena, a boy was it amazing. PNP Rupunzel to start of was great geting the crowd dancing right of the bat. Into a great Everyday which the crowd loved singing their parts beautifully. And it was great to hear the #36 repraise. Then monkey into the fan favorite Satellite. The whole setlist was amazing with no downs to it at all. Heard some of the new 06 songs, the idea of you is a great song, and cant stop was great right after bayou to slow things down just a bit. John D'Earth sat in for most of the show, and was great. Joe Lawlor the setlist guy was great on rhyme, and Jimi thing with D'Earth and Rashawn and Roi at their best was simply amazing. One of the best Jimi jams ever. after jimi we all saw Robert Randolphs slide guitar go out, and all of those who knew what that ment got pumped. Then Dave apologized if the next song was played too much, but explained that it was a favorite so they played Crash. The robert came out for a breathtaking two step done to perfection. The encore was great. Sister done to a quiet crowd, word was daves sister was there. Then So right into Ants to end an amazing show. One of the best shows ever, period.

great show. the set wasn't outstanding, but every song i heard was the best version i've ever heard (w/ exception to bayou.) there was more energy than i've ever witnessed. Two step was ridiculous. Easily the best two step and easily the best carter solo. the arena was the shit. very pleasing venue. traffic was mad quick.

This was a good show....not in my top 5 of the 11 or so I've been to but fun none the less. Easily the best Ryhme and Reason I have EVER heard with Lawler guesting...that song was amazing. Also probably the best Two step I have ever heard as well...Carter went off on the drums over and over....he was more on than I had ever seen before.

Great show, weak crowd. Band was great, last jam before the break was AMAZING, Robert Randolph was great and it was fun to see them at home. The crowd was older and maybe a lot of hometown curiosity seekers who weren't as into it as I would have liked. Oh well, there's always tonight...

In general, this show would be considered an average performance with all the times I've seen the band but the atmosphere and timing of the concert made it a very enjoyable experience. Everyone at the venue was totally stoked to see the band perform in its hoem town and jam with all its friends. Starting of with Rapunzel was great but the highlight of the night was by far the mind-blowing Two Step with Robert Randolph and Carter just trading back and forth. Jimi Thing also allowed the whole crew to just open up and have a blast. I think the general feeling in the place was that this was just a warm up for what is going to be the most anticipated show of the tour on Saturday. Overall, a fun show with the boys smiling all over the place.

Amazing show! The band just seemed so excited and humbled to be playing in their hometown. There was a lot of energy, and it continued all the way through. Dave talked a lot which is always nice. I loved Sister, it's my favorite new song, and it was awesome because I had traveled from NJ with my sister to see the show. Two Step w/RR was amazing and everyone was right when they said that Carter & RR had a little competition going on and it rocked. The band loves RR and he is always awesome when he plays with them. Rhyme & Reason was great with Joe Lawlor on guitar...he was amazing. Everyday with a little Honey, Honey thrown in is always a major favorite for me, so I loved that too :) And So Much to Say and So Right were two that I enjoyed as well. Overall great show, great location, awesome energy!

First show I saw indoors with Dave....great venue...I'm a bias Hoo fan though....I never really got into Louisiana Bayou from the Stand Up album until that night...I'm hooked now. Sister was great (first I heard it)...The Idea of You was very cool...My 2nd favorite song (Two Step) was the best version yet and they played for what seemed a 1/2 hour....Randolph gave up playing after a while on the steel guitar....Awesome show...I wish I had tix for Saturday's show but I went to a party at Sweet Briar College with my S/O and then she reminded me that Dave wrote Crash there....Ironic. Great show!!!

my 23rd show, and one of the betters. The new venue here is awesome for sound quality. RHYME & REASON with JOE LAWLOR was the best R&R I've EVER heard... totally amazing! The 2nd best song of the night was Two Step with Robert Randolf, he brought a whole new meaning of energy to that song. Proudest Monkey was a nice treat, and I thought it was soo funny that Dave apologized before he played Crash, cause he plays it so much. lol

It was very nice to catch a show in the music-rich town of Charlottesville. The band came out with some pop. Highlites include: Proudest Monkey>Satellite, Idea of You (this is a very good tune), So Right>Ants Marching. The song of the night was without a doubt Two Step. Robert Randolph came out and pumped up the crowd This energy carried right into the song and it just grooved all the way through. I love it when the band gets a whole slew of musicians together and they all play together in perfect harmony on these tunes, they always seem to outdue themselves. I'll see everyone tomorrow night for the finale, I'm psyched!

Solid show ... liked the guests ... Joe Lawlor was sick on R&R ... best version i've heard ... RR was real good on two step ... D'Earth was a nice suprise and added to a great horn section ... the band was on last night ... the set doesn't look too outstanding on paper but that's been a typical n1 this tour ... they got a lot of clunkers out of the way last night ... tonight should be one of the best of the whole tour ... hopefully we can avoid crap like what would you say and stay

This was my first DMB show and I get goosebumps just thinking about it. I listen to DMB everyday and I just can't get enough of them. This was the best two step I've ever heard. Robert Randolph and Carter were insane during it. Proudest Monkey was so tight and the Everyday was fantastic; mainly because it had a lot of #36 in it. Can't Stop, R&R, Jimi Thing was just great. It was a real treat to hear Sister as well. You just have to love all the DMB history in Cville. Seriously one of the best nights of my life!
