This was my first show. Up until I was there I thought you were all fuckin crazy to drive all around the country for a concert. I was very wrong and I apologize. I live in Florida. I will be at the Charlottesville shows. Consider me reformed. And I heard my favorite song(when the world ends) the first show I attended. BooYa

Out of the 13 shows I have seen this show ranked first or second! What a great set list! I heard my first ever Proudest Monkey, Pay for What You Get and my all time favorite, Grey Street. Also heard for the first time The Idea of You, and Shotgun. Great energy. Boyd Tinsley was the best I've ever seen him. He was really on his game. What a great show.

A great show from start to finish. Highlights were Grey Street, PFWYG, Rapunzel, JTR improv into Ants was hot as well, not to mention an unreal Billies. The band had exceptional energy the entire show tonight. I don't care what anyone says but Hunger is a great quick high energy song live. Bayou really got the crowd into it. And a 3 song encore, I can't complain. I wanted kill the King but I'll take Shotgun. Overall a great show, not the best set on paper, but that doesn't matter when the band is going all out like tonight. I wish I was going to Raleigh.

Review:
Solid energy, some oldies but goodies coming back perked up the night, such as PFWYG. Carter's awesome drumming was a plus, as usual. Rashawn Ross adds an interesting tweak to the band but his soloing needs work. The tour debut of Joyride was nice, a great throwback to 2004. PNP===> Rapunzel was particularly crisp.

Incredible! Starting with Don't Drink the Water was nice and Proudest Monkey second was awesome. I loved hearing Pay for What You Get, JTR/Ants Marching, Say Goodbye, Joy Ride, Rapunzel, and Everyday/36. I only wished that the crowd was louder during the beginning Everyday/36. All around great show. But, WHY NO DREAMING TREE?!

Awesome. Tight as always. Loved the way Carter seemlessly went into an improv. intro to Ants Marching when his snare drum head broke and took a while for his drum tech. to replace it. Glad to hear JTR and Joyride. Shotgun is an awesome new song (even though the lyrics are a little dark).

Say what you will about this show, I thought it was fabulous! The band was tight and so was the setlist. Pay For What You Get, JTR, Proudest Monkey into Satellite, Louisiana Bayou.... well, you can read the setlist. The new material was excellent, as well. The stage looked amazing.

This show was amazing! The best crowd I have EVER been a part of. They were so loud literally from the moment that Dave left the stage until the moment he returned for the encore. It was unreal...people chanting "Dave," stomping on the floor, banging chairs, clapping, lighters blaring...I will never forget it :) One of the best ever for me personally...

This was my very 1st show ever! We drove from Danville, VA and stayed overnight, and drove back the next day. We sat around the coolest people on the planet. There were no strangers to anyone. I am going to the LAST show of the tour, C-Ville, the 23rd of Sept. Absolutely can't wait, I am a huge fan, but seeing them in person, and hearing live jams was priceless!!!!!

FYI for those in the back or who hear arecording of Ants from this show... the improv start was due to Carter's snare breaking. His tech fixed and replaced it during the Carter/LeRoi/Reshawn "intro". Total adlib... fun stuff.

Awesome show! I absolutly loved it. Goodbye, and JTR were highlights. Smooth Rider is a solid live song. When they went from JTR into Ants, it was off the hook.
I was 6 rows back and there were people in front of me talking on cell phones during slower songs like pay for what you get...very annoying!

The setlist was not my fav. but the band was so sick it didn't really matter. Awesome to see Carter sporting a Hurricanes jersey - the crowd went nuts in honor of their Stanley Cup win - GO CAROLINA!! The jams were intense - I think the best PNP->Rapunzel I have ever heard - so so tight. I do wish they had interspersed the new stuff in the regular set instead of at the encore. Ants is still the best to see live and this rendition was NO disappointment for sure. I was looking forward to hearing Sister live after hearing the tapes - oh well. A good time was had by all.

SOLID! Satellite was amazing (as most of the show was)! Pay For What You Get made the crowd go dead quiet and it was awesome. Definately one of the best PNP-Rapunzel I've ever heard. Then JTR-Ants was crazy!! New songs were good but not for starting off the encore...energy just didn't match...but then Billies left me speechless! Also, Dave seemed rather chatty this evening...

Alas, as the number of shows I attend rises year after year the shows begin to melt together. I can't remember the songs anymore. Summer 06, I only saw DMB twice and this was the first of those. I remeber being excited to hear the "new" tunes. Just another standard DMB show...but you can't beat it. The show: DDTW always works as an opener. It's probably the best place for the song. My first proudest monkey came next so I was pretty psyched, and satellite and WTWE are what they are. I liked the say goodbye placement, but abhor Everyday(#36) anywhere other than opener slot these days. So, for me the setlist hits a lull. I got my first Pay 4 (band) so that was sweet. A few more Stand Up tunes but I enjoy them live (Smooth Rider is a great dance to the beer-line and back song). PNP and Rapunzel were in there and an Ants closer. I remember thinking that they would play two new songs in the encore but and they did. I figured Sister, IOY, and closer, but we got a shotgun. So that was nice. Billies ends another show. Great night with great friends...can't beat a day of tailgating and DMB. Here's to '07!

The Start was really strong. From DDTW followed by proudest monkey into satellite set the mood like no other. Also hearing Pay for what you get was a big suprise. Joyride has been a favorite of mine ever since i heard it a couple of years back and the new songs are sounding more like the mid 90's dave. Definately a one to remember.

Ok show. Setlist sounds good, but the show was relatively slow. Good to hear the rare songs (especially PFWYG (UNBELIEVABLE)). Grey Street, HFTGL, JTR>Ants, Shotgun, and Billies were all nasty. Looking forward to Raleigh tonight.

The show was amazing! It kicked off so great with DDTW and just kept going. Pay for what you get was awsome to hear. JTR and say goodbye were also great. and of course the croud pleasers with ants, crash, and satellite. however i did think the encore was a little weak. although i enjoyed the songs, two newer songs are kind of a let down. but tripping billies was a killer end. great night!

This was a really good show. So glad that I finally got to see Proudest Monkey. I was completely caught off guard when they broke out Pay For What You Get....UNBELIEVABLE!!! Lousiana Bayou seemed particularly good tonight, by the way. All in all this was a damn good show.

Finally got an email so I could register to this site, been reading the forums forever now! Now to the show, simply said it was a great show for me being that 4 of 5 songs I named pre-show were played (Ants, Rapunzel, JTR, and Everyday); however they delivered a mediocre encore w/ a mediocre Billies (sorry guys it's true). The opener (DDTW) was sick, and a personal favorite since I originally fell in love with Dave through the Central Park DVD where they also opened with DDTW. JTR, Rapunzel, Bayou, and Ants were the songs that seemed to have the crowd moving. Happy to hear Proudest Monkey and the Idea of You (will be an instant hit). Didn't care for Shotgun, maybe cause it's a little dark and I (along with the crowd) wanted more after an AMAZING Ants finisher during the setlist. Looking forward to Cinicinati, Atlanta, Antioch, AND Charlottesville, :)

I think people might be overrating this show. This may go down as a solid, prototypical 2006 Summer Tour set - plenty of Stand Up, Everyday, and a couple new songs.... but the band chose not to push things forward tonight (with the one notable exception of PFWYG). I wish I were going to Raleigh, because Charlotte may have innoculated them from the terrible tandem of Hunger/Smooth. I love that the band is pulling out old songs - they really need to continue this trend. They need to revive Drive In Drive Out, The Stone, Last Stop, You Never Know, Busted Stuff, Minarets and Recently. And they really, really need to stop closing sets with Tripping Billies. Couple quick notes: Ants jam - the horn section seemed to be firing up the 2001 intro from the old Trax days. Everyday - the round with Boyd/Dave trading off on 36/Everyday lyrics sounds really good. Bayou - the high point of the night in terms of energy, but it's still the poor man's LIOG. Hunger/Smooth Rider back to back was just crushing.

Review:
Unfreakinbelievable! Solid all the way through. Although it looks like it was a chill start, it just made the 2nd half all the better. Say Goodbye was great to hear for the first time since 6/13/97, PFWYG was sweet, Everyday was great, Grey Street was intense, and I LOVED hearing Joy Ride again. I could go on and on about all of the songs but it was just awesome. And the JTR-->jam due to broken snare-->Ants was a hell of a finish to the main set. Damn.
