Great show tonight. Loved the JTR opener and the jam during Grace is Gone. American Baby Intro was hot tonight. I love how its really come into its own as an independant song. Sweet encore with a pretty good crowd most of the night. Also, I have to say, I'm really lovin' Rashawn Ross's playing with the boys after this show. Special thanks to the super attractive girl in the event staff who was monitoring our row--you rock!

Good show...Sick ABI. Wish LIOG was gonna be played since it hasnt shown up in KC...Does anybody recognize the song the band was playing during soundcheck? The happy one. I loved it.

Wow! What energy! Beginning the show with JTR was a huge treat for me, and although it sounds sappy, having my sisters with me to hear "Sister" for the first time was also a treat. Got a kick out of Dave's wet ass jokes and the sunglasses; the whole band was really in a good mood last night. Carter, as always, looked to be having the time of his life! Great guest on the trumpet; it added a lot to the music.

Great set, I wish I knew raven when they played it cuz now it's like my favorite haha

I think this should be a live trax release because I've never seen a better mix of songs old and new

I WANT TO HEAR THEM PLAY #41 so bad!

JTR was an awesome opener. Best Nancies and Warehouse I've heard live. Boyd was in rare form. Show went on cruise control toward the end. Then sparked again with Smooth Rider. Great edition with the white glasses. I had heard of sister being played the previous night in MO, and was honored to hear it live in KC. Good mix of Old songs. The crowd wanted #41, Two Step and Everyday. But Dave and the fellas didn't disappoint with the encore selection of Sister, Crash and PNP->R.

Amazing. Smooth Rider stole the show. Dave screaming is always good. The trumpet kicked ass. The sorority bitches were annoying, but worth tolerating for the spiritual experience that is Dave Matthews Band.

BAND WAS TIGHT!!! Great sound with Rashawn, great energy by band and most of the crowd. I think JTR is one of the best show openers DMB can play besides seek up or 41. Raven and Trippin Billies were also very very well played!

I thought the show was awesome...it was an amazing touch by the band to open with JTR after it had rained earlier. The songs that truly blew me away were Tripping Billies and American Baby Intro. It's clear from the CD that ABI is a jam session and they didn't let me down when they jammed out on that song.

I was thinking we were going to get poured on the whole night, but the clouds parted just in time for G Love and Special Sauce to play. I was pleased to hear JTR open the show and knew it should be a great one. The guys were full of energy and it seemed Dave was in a silly mood with lots of dancing, funny comments, and him putting on the huge sunglasses during Smooth Rider. Warehouse, Billies, Smooth Rider, ABI, and Rapunzel were all full of energy which was mirrored by the crowd. Overall, another very solid Dave show down in the books.

This was only my seconf Dave Matthews Band concert buy i haveto say that I was impressed. He played some of my favorite songs out there. My only complaint is that he played a little to many new songs. I deffinatly think that he hit the jackpot with "Sister". It was so relaxing after two hours of good jamming. Overall it was a great experience. Peace out guys and keep jamming.

Review:
Great show. During sound check the jammed two new songs that made me a fan all over again. The concert was solid and got better with each song. "Smooth Rider" was amazing, with Dave wearing a fan's sunglasses and a killer jam on the trumpet by RR. Great show. Best I have seen since 1999.

This was the most amazing experience of my life. At one point, someone threw some huge, bug-eyed sunglasses up on the stage. In the middle of Smooth Rider, the lights went out. When they came back on, Dave had put on the sunglasses and went crazy. I didn't like Smooth Rider until this performance. He made every single song seem so personal. This needs to be on Live Trax. I can't find the show anywhere online, otherwise. He opened with an amazing JTR and even played Crash Into Me in the encore. I was blown away.

This was the best DMB show that I have ever been to. The energy on stage got to everyone as you watched people dance there hearts out for 2 hours straight. Not a slow moment as the old DMB rocked...

only down song was hunger for the great light. dave started playing it after jtr and a few others and no one cheered at the beginning of it. the rest of the show was the best ive been to so far (6 shows). jtr, rapunzel, crash, warehouse, tripping billies, where re you going, too much and sister were the ones i wanted and got. and when the world ends was an Everyday surprose

this was my 2 DMB show and my first time seeing them at a ampitheater.....wow!!! the guys were just opening the summer tour for 2006 and this was the 2nd show. they opened with JTR which was one of the few songs i had not yet heard by these guys, i was stunned to hear them open w/ something i didn't know. not that i can say i have been a dedicated fan since they're beginning,no more like a distant admirer. but i had really become interested in them in 2004 i would say and thought i had done a pretty good job covering they're material but they suprised my , much to my delight w/ the beautiful song that i haye come to know as JTR. I still don't know the meaning of the initials though...any help?? anyways the night was a warm spring night in the mid-west with rain showers that had threatened early in the day but left us with only clear skys and beautiful music. the guys played a great set list including old and new songs, my newly found favorites...when the world ends and panta naga pampa..rapunzel!!!!!!WOW!! iwas sooo happy for those three hours. far from hom eand with the one i love listening to music that i have grown so close to that it seems almost like my right arm nowadays. dave gave us a real treat w/ one of the firat ever live performences of sister!!! i need to have this recording.. it will live in my mind and heart forever. i also met a very nice woman that night who had brought her ....ungrateful, mouthy 14yr old daughter and her 2 friends after a stressful day @ work only to be cursed atr in the car and everything else. when i met her we were at the gate where her dughter was being told that she could no bring in her camera, much to her dislike!!! my jim met me shortly after we exchanged our info and history with DMB but i do hope sh enjoyed what was her first DMB show

This concert was the most intense I've seen of my 7. Great set list, awesome energy. Boyd was all over the stage, and Carter was on fire. Rashawn Ross can flat play a trumpet!! And a JTR opening! The only thing that would have made this better would have been "Rhyme and Reason" played. Dave did alot more talking between songs than I remember in the past. The "wet ass" dialogue was funny!

User: sarahleeb2

Review:
Wow, interesting show. I think it helped that DMB came early in the tour rather than in the middle or later they came with a lot of energy and that seemed to feed the crowd. I sensed they had a hard time playing lighter stuff, never could transition the crowd down a notch, everything seemed full of energy. Some songs seemed like all DMB wanted to do was make things as loud and overwhelming as possible. Interesting set list. Suprised with the quick return for an encore and the choices. Dave solo was a big surprise for me and quite enjoyable, probably the one time all nght the crowd let the mood settle for a bit. The special guest on trumpet really added something to a few songs and was of course great jamming away with the rest of the band. Overall a good show, maybe a bit loud for me which distracted from some of the amazing musicianship shown.

I always like the atmosphere at Bonner Springs. It's usually college kids from Mizzou, Nebraska, or Kansas. This year there were alot of teeny boppers in mini skirts on the phone the whole time.

We had great seats, Section 4 Row E, seat twenty-something. Right in front of the left mains. Our ears were toast after the show, but it was really a great show. Lots of energy and a great setlist. Definitely my favorite out of my 4 DMB shows.

I was very impressed with the new light show. The band was strong and excited. They played a few of their slower songs to balance the night, but the bulk of the night was spent on high energy songs. Boyd was the man last night. He was all over the stage, and this was the highest energy show I've seen him put on. The sound was a little hot. There was unnecessary distortion.
