This was my fist Dave concert ever!!! What the hell took me so long? The show rocked and I'm heading to as many shows as possible now. I was about 50 ft from the stage and there must have been at least 35,000 people gathered around. I got some great pics!!!

This was an excellent show. You could tell that the guys were happy to be in front of a crowd performing. The only song that I didn't like was "Stand Up". The crowd wasn't into the show as good as they could have been. The "Bayou" song was excellent...great location to hear it first. Look forward to seeing the guys at the end of the tour in Selma and The Woodlands.

For the amount of time they played, the setlist was just about as packed with awsomeness as it could get. Being there the first time LB and SU were played live was enough for me to endure the rain. #41 was AMAZING!! Everyone started chanting Everyday and Dave started singing the lyrics over #41. Amazing.

I have to agree with Dirty:
"while an avid dave fan i must admit this was not one of the better shows he has ever put on. Still good featuring a couple new songs, but leaving a little to be desired"

Very cool way to start the year - without the screens and extra flash, they still blew the fairgrounds away. I coulda done without the folks resorting to relieving themselves in the front 50 feet or so from the stage. Still, worth (most) of the experience!!

This show was incredible! He's been absent from Jazz Fest for a couple of years now and what a great way to come back. This couldnt have been a more perfect way to start off the 2005 tour (and its only fitting that he let us hear Louisiana Bayou first). There was tons of energy and the setlist was great. He had an hour and 40 min so he picked his most well known and requested live songs. I'm speechless when it comes to the encore. WOW! THANKS DAVE

I thought it was a nice show. The new songs could use a little work, but Louisiana Bayou was pretty nice. I'm glad I got a #41, a SMTS>ASTB>TM, and a Watchtower. Great stuff.

Best show I've seen...ever. The inclusion of "American Baby" & "Stand Up" aside simply because they're so new, the band sounded as tight and together as I've heard. Great performances by everyone, and I was as close to the show as I wanted to be in front of all the banners.
Thanx DMB !

Fantastic show coupled with a great day. All songs were flawless - surprising since Dave has a tendency to come on stage "happy" at places like this (see D&F 'roo)

When we got to the gates it started raining heavily. I've never seen rain like that. It rained continuously from like 8:15 am to about 2:30 pm. And then it came and went leading up to Galactic's set. The show was great. It was good to see the band back in the States again. Some people behind me came all the way from Rome to see DMB perform. All in all, the guys were having a great time and had fun playing the two new songs.

A good show considering it was a festival. The crowd was more interested in drinking and talking, but that did not stop me from enjoying the show. It was nice to hear the new songs live, but they did not get a very good reception. Overall an excellent weekend of music.

I've been a huge fan of DMB for almost ten years now but this was my first show. I saw it with my brother who has been to 8 DMB concerts, and he claims this was the best he has ever seen. I completely agree! I immediately got a knot in my stomach the second Dave walked out on stage and it stayed there for the entire night. It was absolutely amazing to see this incredible sound that has been such a part of my life for so long actually be create dright in front of me. This will in no way be my last but i thik i will be comparing every other show to it.

What a concert! I've been going to Jazzfest for 9 years now and this was my most memorable moment! I was on the railing right in front of the band and they rocked. I even ended up with my picture in Sunday's Times Picayne singing along to #41. Back in '01 I had walking pnemonia and slept all day until DMB came on. It was so hot out and I was wearing a sweatshirt. I ended up in the emergency room afterwards.. this has that beat by far! Withstandinbg the rain was worth it. Some fan named James was outside since 3:30 am and was so wet and freezing so I gave him my fleece pullover. Never got it back.. but who cares.. you gotta love Dave! I cannot wait to see them in July and August on tour :)

Dave was extremely energetic and brought the crowd with him! I waited in the pouring rain for hours and ran my little legs off to get to the stage. It was all worth it because I got the most amazing spot ever like 40' from the stage. so awesome to hear dave play Louisiana Bayou the first time and actually in the Louisiana Bayou. I had a feeling he'd try it out and yay! it rocked! The stone... i love you!

This was my first experience to see DMB in concert and i must say he rocked my socks off! Like he ever puts on a bad show though????? I have been a fan for many years and when i heard he was going to jazzfest i bought tickets right away that is after i pissed myself. If you didnt get the chance to see it, you missed out but there will be many other chances to do so this summer while he is touring. I really cant put the experience into words, it was so amazing but i do recommend if you have not seen DMB in concert... DO IT!

I really enjoyed the setlist at this show, but the length of the show really dissapointed me. I expected the band to play for at least 2 hours and 30 min, but they did'nt even play for 2 hours. But I thourgh the concert was very high energy and the version of watchtower was by far the best i've ever heard or seen for myself.

I have now seen Dave 5 times, and this was one of the best shows. I am not sure if it was the fact that it was a festival, or what, but Dave and the guys seemed a bit more playful with the crowd. The setlist was awesome, and they were smooth as always. It was definetely worth the 8 hour drive to get there.

Show was the best setlist I'd seen at a Dave show, though I haven't seen many. The fairground was packed hours ahead with people waiting to see Dave, but we got lucky enough to be within 50-60 feet of the stage. Great show...love the new songs.

I was blown away. Amazing Set and Amazing Performance. Dave and New Orleans are a great fit. Like everyone from their town thinks-he should come to New Orleans more. A drunk/wet/tired crowd but nothing but smiles and singing faces. I was blown away when he did the Stone live. Always been one of my favorites. I forgot how much I enjoyed his music untill I saw him live.

20th DMB show, 1st general admission (festival) - getting in line w/ 7 of my closest friends from all over the USA & Canada at 6am was awesome << the torrential downpour, flooding, and high winds were kind of a bummer, but truly made all of us 'make the best of what's around'. besides, we had 5 hours to dry off and get warm b/4 DMB took the stage. from my spot @ 8 rows back, the view was amazing.. the sound was amazing..
after 'the stone' my boyfriend ryan whispered in my ear "that was the most beautiful thing i've ever heard. thank you so much for sharing with me" << that made every drop of rain worth while :) after the encore he told me the entire experience of a live DMB show was 'spiritual', which have been my exact words for 10+ years.
american baby was everything i thought it would be (awesome!) stand up was exactly what i expected (wonderful)... the crowd needed a bit more practice with the 'stand up's >> but the band sounded spectacular. louisiana bayou totally took me by surprise and sounded totally different than any other DMB song. the entire band put on an excellent performance. two step & watchtower as an encore made the entire event almost unbelievable....all i can say is thank goodness for tapers!! i'm ready to ~share the time again~ a.s.a.p.

Wow!! It was so good to finally here the boys. The show was fantastic, great set list. I was quite suprised to hear Stand Up. I expected AB and LB mainly because AB already gets radio play and LB because we were in LA, it just seemed fitting. I was hoping for something like Hello Again or Joy Ride. I am not all that impressed with Stand Up but it was the first time. Dave was cutting up and the band was jamming their asses off. Carter had a few really good jams where he was just tearing 'em up and Stephan had a good lil jam too. Dave was dancing all over the stage and screaming. Sounded like he did a good scat in SMTS but the crowd was so loud I couldn't really make out anything he was saying. The encore made the crowd go wild. Great show, glad to know there were some tapers. :)

They opened with The Stone!!! Then they played What Would You Say!!! Then #41!!! They did the Everyday thing in #41. Then they played American Baby and it was awesome. So Much To Say>>Anyone Seen The Bridge>>Too Much was amazing! They played Louisana Bayou for the first time which is a great song. Very great. Then they played Stand Up for the first time and I can't wait for the cd to come out now. They ended with Warehouse and one hell of an Ants Marching. They encored with Two Step and a very energetic All Along The Watchtower. There was a lot of dialouge from Dave and they all seemed really happy and energetic. The crowd could have been better though.

Great show! It's pretty cool to say that i have seen the very first live version of louisiana bayou and Stand Up. Louisiana Bayou sounded great Stand Up has the potential to become a great song however it does need some work. Great encore. This was my second DMB show at jazzfest i wish the fans could put a little more energy into the show maybe get a little more involved. I would like DMB to feal really welcome here. Excellent show definently worth waiting in the rain. It turned out to be a beautiful day

It was great to hear "The Stone" live... and fitting to hear "Louisiana Bayou". Can't say I cared too much for that "Stand Up" though. It lays down a funky groove, but really doesn't do much. I think he lost a lot of the crowd during that song. But the encore... OH THE ENCORE! No reason to get excited? Oh I found plenty of reasons! The tour is gonna rock!
