This show was unreal. I was front row, dead center. I brought my younger brother and we had an amazing time (sober too!). Dave let the band play, while he dropped his guitar and just danced his ass off! I got a Tim and Dave show, Dave and Friends and then Trey and Dave as an encore. UNBELIEVEABLE!

Great show... The crowd went up one too many stories in the elevator and couldn't keep on beat with Dave. Oh well...

one word, AMAZING! i mean it wasn't on the level of dave and the band, but dave and friends rocked it out like crazy. the show lasted about 3:20 minutes, and i wished it could have lasted another 3 hours. Dave and tim was just so AMAZING, i could have just listened to them the whole time, easily. most of the setlist was kind of predictable, but still no doubt left me in AWE. im not gonna get too indepth into the show, but, the highlights were: D & T, solsbury hill, butterfly, and the encore. opening with dave and trey was awesome, threelittle birds was so powerful, and the last song they played, THANK YOU, was so sick, dave was going crazy, doing some sick ass dance moves, i have never seen anybody move like that, SO SICK, and then TIMMY going crazy on the guitar was ridiculous. i just want to say THANK YOU dave, and friends, for putting on an amazing show.

what an amazing ing night. emmy lou sounded great. what a rich sound she has. I really enjoyed the two of them singing oh sister.
the venue was good, except the people working it. they wouldn't let me bring in my purse because it looked like a backpack. it was a small burton slim pack. There was no place for me to put it, so I stashed it and it got stolen. that's the breaks. only material items.
on with the show. I didn't like my seat (everyone was sitting and I didn't want to interupt them with my dancing) so I ended up kind of wondering around and right at grey blue eyes I was able to see perfectly. this song was amazing. the way dave sings the ohs is soul stirring. I think he sounded awesome. butterfly was the highlight of the show for me.
the energy with tim and trey and dave was sweet. they brought out a whole nother side of dave, that I've never seen before. he was smiling and dancing...hehe. after butterfly the night went kind of in a different direction, not much dancing with the crowd after that - just stellar guitars and music.
for the indoor venue oakland was nice because of bart. I hope they decide to play pac bell in lieu of shoreline this summer. the show was absolutely incredible.
I think it was on thank you that dave didn't have his guitar. he looked naked but it was neat to see - chance (of a lifetime)
great chemistry, it's nice to see dave matthews happy.
anyone interested in a b&p please let me know =)
cheers

Wow. This was the first time I've had the chance to see the Dave & Tim duet thing, and it was pretty amazing. The Dave & Trey duets were pretty outstanding, too! Overall, quite an excellent show, easily in my top 2 ever, maybe even the best. Just amazing. Great crowd, too.

This was one of the longest and best shows I have ever seen by any artist. Before the show, I didn't expect it to be on the level of the DMB shows I'd seen, but it was easily just as good. The hightlight for me had to be Dave and Trey doing Three Little Birds, Everyday, and Bathtub Gin acousticly. I had to take three variety of public transportation to get all the way to Oakland, and man was it worth it.

Cannot say enough about dave and friends. really special stuff on that tour. had the honor of meeting trey outside when he first arrived. ray and toby also chatted with us. dave and tim had their bus pull right in the garage and wouldnt meet with outside fans because they were "suffering from sore throats". great set. thank you was awesome and bathtub was a nice add.

GRRRRREEEEEAT show!! I was so stoked to be there! Oh except the lame opeing...Not my thing at all! Dave & Tim was worth a show but noooo, they go on to Dave and Friends and rocks my world!!! Unbelievable show! AND to top this off, I happened to come out of the wrong gate, right by their back gate....ended up waiting 2 hours post show till Dave finally came out. I was the last one he gave autograph! It was worth siting on the barricade for two insane hours just to hold my spot! Thank you Dave!

Unbelievable...definitely worth the travel from Texas. It was probably one of the best shows that I have seen. The Covers were amazing too. It seemed like Dave was so liberated and really free to do whatever he wanted with his friends...and he had some rockin dance moves as well. Everyone was on and they jammed the night away. Wonderful show!

Sick, sick, sick. I think this proves to me that risk can be such a rewarding thing. Dave took a risk with himself, his friends, and his fans by going out on tour on his own, and I, for one, could not be any happier. It's hard for Tim Reynolds not to be the highlight for me, but there were just so many beautiful moments. Once again, thank you Dave and Friends for blowing my mind with incredible music and positive energy!

With somewhat a slow start by Dave and Tim, the show definately picked up momentum once all the other 'friends' came on stage. They played almost every song like it was the last one of the night! It was great to hear Sweet Up and Down!
What a difference from a DMB show. Entertaining none-the-less!

Review:
Jeesum, this show was a bit on the amazing side, and a bit on the ho hum side. First off opening with the obvious acoustic tim and dave set, which is a treat to see. Then the band came in and played some devil songs. Some were good some were alright. DAve played a song ive never heard before...Butterfly maybe?
All of a sudden the night took a turn for the awesome side. The set was about 3 1/2 hours long. Amazing to think dave was out there all the time. But back to the awesomeness, the band just started to tock out, then they would slow it down, rock out, and slow it down. They covered SO many songs, in fact one of the songs dave was reading off a piece of paper, it was incredible! Of course trey was amazing, but dave and trey came out to do an acoustic set as the first encour...it was great trey was trying to show dave the chords to dont worry by marley, and the crowd was just carrying the song throughout. Dave was dancing all night, trey even went and played drums with the drummer on the finale...enough cannot be said about tim, hes freaking amazing, man, he even played with his TEETH, what a rockstar, thats the most emotion ive seen come from his facial area, it was great. The drummer was good, and the bassist could keep. The butch look alike on the keys was so-so. Emmylou has a great voice...but she needs to not sing with dave, because they do NOT sound good together...but regardless, this show turned out to be amzing, and the amount of fun being had on stage...60 bux not too much i guess. I wrote this hastily as it is 3 in the morning, but man, well, you shouldve been there.

It was an amazing show. So different from the DMB band playing, but it was a good different. The whole atmosphere of the show was increadable. Dave seemed to be having the time of his life, he seemed more alive than I had seen him in the past. Loved "butterfly" and how he dedicated it to his two daughters. Dodo and Stay or leave where amazing too. Good Cover songs aswell - Favorite "two little Birds" acoustic with Trey Anastasio. Again, a once in a lifetime show!

The best show of the tour in my opinion. Watching Dave and Trey play in the oncore was the highlight by far. Both of them letting the croud sing "honey honey" as they both looked on and at eachother smiling and laughing. It was by far a moment I will always remember.

Truely amazing. This show definatly makes up for when I missed the last DMB tour. All the covers they did were great. On top of that, a full electric version of Sweet Up and Down. I was overwhelmed by how long the jams would last. If they release any of the DM & Friends tour dates on CD/DVD, it should definatly be this one. Of course I can only compare to the Providence show that I have.

this show totally made up for the staples center fiasco. arrived with no ticket, and was approached my an angel of sorts who asked me if i was a warehouse kid. Upon delivering the correct answer, she sold me a cheap, 8th row ticket! It was nice to sit next to a true fan... the music blew my mind! d&t were kick ass (he played my song!, and all of daves new material was amazing live. the cover were...were...were bitchin! and who has ever seen dave dance without his guitar! he's such a sexy beast! all and all, two thumbs up!

My first Dave Matthews show since 1995 when I saw him open for the Grateful Dead. To be honest I was there to see Trey, having just come back from the Miami Phish NYE shows, I was pumped to hear Trey one more time. Went to the show without any expectations and open ears and I was BLOWN AWAY by the music. Dave has a great voice and Trey knows how to lead jams, together they were AWESOME. Tim Reynolds is great on the acoustic as well. Overall a great tune, with some nice appearances such as Trey coming out to play with Emmylou, then Emmylou coming out to play with D&F. I would gladly go see D&F again and perhaps go see DMB next time they are in town. Crowd energy was low at first but started picking up around Cripple Creek. Too many people sitting down during good jams. GET OFF YOUR BUTTS AND DANCE PEOPLE! :)

After performing three concerts in four days I believe Dave was a little tired. I also caught the Seattle show and he didn't seem to have as much energy as that show. Also Tim seemed to take more liberties with his solos at that show. Brady Blade seemed a little sharper during this Oakland performance. He's no Carter but he did a respectable job on SUAD. Trey Ananstasio was also given more solo opportunites than the Seattle show and he didn't forget the words to any songs this time. I prefer Tim's electric. The friend I went with said "does Trey realize he looks like the village idiot on crack when he stands there and looks up at the cieling like that". That was the most memorable aspect of the show for me. Dave's new Butterfly song about his daughters was really sweet. It sounds like a lullaby song he probably sings to them. My other highlights were Stone, DODO, Stay or Leave and So Damned Lucky. I'm also trying to still get over the fact that they charged $15.00 for parking.
