First off, I'd like to thank the couple that gave us the instant seat upgrade. My wife and I were sitting on the lawn, about a half hour before the show began, and this couple walks up to us and hands us great seats in section 14. They had two extras, and just decided to find a couple of people on the lawn who looked like they might want to move up. I guess we were looking needy enough! Anyway, we left the lawn, found our seats, and settled in for a great show.
The So Much to Say and WWYS kept the energy high at the beginning, and Crush produced a wonderful jam. I am a sucker for Under the Table and Dreaming, so it was a treat to see Rhyme and Reason. And how can you beat a Dancing Nancies>Typical Situation>Two Step to close out a show. I also want to say that this was the first time I heard Help Myself, and this song is excellent. Lots of potential.
See ya'll next time!

Got drunk, and lost my girlfriend,of less than a week, and spent forever looking for her. When we did find each other we ran in slow motion and hugged just like in the movies. I told her never to leave me again, and she hasn't, we are married now...True story

ps she skipped the stairs and walked up through the bushes!

What a great show. PNP-->Rapunzel was incredible. Crush was rockin' and had an insane amount of energy. The intro to One Sweet World was so unique because instead of the Dave guitar intro, it was all Butch on keys. Help Myself was a welcomed surprise as was my favorite song Cry Freedom!!! The definite highlight of the night was Dancing Nancies (with the Lost Somewhere in Boston intro) into Typical Situation. Boyd rocked out completely and after finishing he shook hands with Carter. While they were shaking hands, Dave broke into those familiar notes. I couldn't believe I was hearing Typical Situation. The outro was so cool too. Two Step was incredible and a million times better then the Hartford show. The Hartford version barely cracked 9 minutes with no mid-song jam. This version was over 17 mins long!!! The Stone was a bit of a letdown, but I forgot all about it after hearing the Intro to What You Are. I have been wanting to hear this song live ever since hearing it via webcast at the 7-26-02 Meadows show. The song has come a long way since I first heard it in 2001 at Foxboro. All in all a fucking kick ass show!!! Dave dropping the F-bomb was a fitting ending to a tremendous show. Hopefully night two will be just as good or even better then tonight. It's gonna be tough to beat tonight though :)

Dave Matthews Band triumphantly returns to the Tweeter Center for the Performing Arts in Mansfield, MA where Dave and the crew undoubtedly put on a very strong set. When the World Ends was a great choice for an opener, it had the energy to get the crowd up onto their feet. The next run of So Much To Say --> ASTB --> What Would You Say was perfect for maintaining that energy. Crush was jammed out as always but the real gems of the evening had to be Help Myself and Dancing Nancies. I love it when Dave pulls out a couple of rare songs to throw into the mix. I know the audience really enjoyed hearing them. Two Step was awesome, the jam session was all Butch. The encore of The Stone and What You Are were fine choices to end the set, but I would of loved to hear more than just the tease of Halloween. Perhaps maybe he’ll play it tomorrow. As a general note I think the video work has gotten better this tour- the videographers had lots of interesting and solid shots. Cheers to Dave and his first night back in Massachusetts.

This was my tenth show this summer, including the Gorge and Continental Airlines Arena. The audience was by far the best I've seen, rivalling the Gorge 2002 and Madison Square Garden 2002 shows, for it's positive vibe. I felt that the audience propelled the band to better versions of songs (especially Nancies) than I heard elsewhere on this tour. Thanks, Boston, you made my night, and I look forward to another outstanding show tonight.

This was a great show, and it was clear that the band was excited to play. Not much unexpected in the setlist, though Nancies and TS were wonderful to hear. The energy level was high, and the crowd was cool. Personal highlight for me was the jam mid-song in TS and the instrumental intro to OSW, which was the first thing I ever heard them play back in the day.

Not to get too wordy but, this show was absolutely insane(probably a favorite setliist of mine) only 2nd to night 2. This was a freaking crazy DMB weekend in Mansfield. Holy crap, nancies, TS, Two Step. Who does that? Dave and the boys do! It was incredible. Awesome, awesome energy at this show! Top friggin' notch. Great woods always = great times. Sick seats too! I can't believe the dude in front of me left halfway through pissed because he said they weren't playing any songs he knew. Buddy, what songs are you listening to? What a night. :)

I got my 24min Two-Step!!!!! What I'd been waiting for since 8/31 and didn't get, I got at Tweeter. I hear Night 2 peeps got Crash/JT, but we got Two-Step, and that's enough for me. Early on, Dave seemed out of it...coulda been the crowd though...many people were drunk/stoned, and that's not good. Louder crowd than the Meadows though...perhaps Dave was listening to our cries for Two-Step??? Good show, going to Tweeter next year, both nights most def.

Night 2 will overshadow this night and people won't appreciate this show for how amazing it was. When the World Ends was an ok opener got the crowd moving, SMTS==>WWYS is a great energized segue. but the show really began at crush. great bass solo into and just energy packed. then into PNP==>Rapunzel, without the bridge before it, which is rare this tour. once again, crazy energy. Cry Freedom, Help Myself, Rhyme and Reason were all awesome to hear. One Sweet World was AMAZING! the intro was breathtaking. then Nancies==>Typical==> Two step is the greatest ending to a set ever.
stone in the encore kicked, and what you are is actually better then i thought. this show will be forever underrated (as 12.20 is because of 12.21)
