Totally awesome! Great set of songs, I loved how they wove in some slow, melodic ones inbetween the fast paced Stay and Don't Drink the Water. As always, they were great. The entire audience were on their feet the whole time. I had a great time!

1st Day I was supose to have my Girlfiend at the time go with me (now she is my fiance and in May will be my WIFE) but she got strep throat. So I had an extra ticket last minute for the LAWN. I couldnt give it away. Great show for sure! I was so psyched for the next day where we would be a bit closer!

I love this venue! Not a bad seat in the house and you feel soooo close to the stage even from the grass. I got to hear Loving Wings and Long Black Veil all in the same night...ohhh...that made me happy :)

Pretty sick, much tighter than Marysville, even though Dave messed up the words on Stay and the whole band was laughing about it. I especially liked Butch's high vocals on Stay too. I must admit though, I went and saw Ben Harper and Jack Johnson last night and they put on an amazing show, nearly as good as a Dave and Tim show. And who thinks there's no good music being made today?

Pretty decent show. Made the trip from Seattle. Highlights were PFWYG and Spoon, which got no crowd noise while Where Are You Going made the place go nuts. Makes you wonder. Help Myself is cool live. Encore was a little weak but all in all a damn good show.

After catching only the second night at Shoreline last year, I wasn't about to make the same mistake twice. This was my 3rd of 4 shows this summer and it did not dissapoint. I think they just kept getting better and better. Spoon felt much more comfortable tonight than at Coors. Bartender, Pay For What You Get and Loving Wings were highlights for me.

ahh what a great show this was.
It was really hard to get to the venue. I took the caltrains and decided to take the walk by the resorvoir and near the nasa station. impressive. however it took me longer to get there than I thought. The show had already started and the night was on it's last rays.
the sun slips away
as the night escapes itself
all apart of you
There is a wonderful statue of a horse with his head bent down real low, almost with sadness as you enter in the backside.
it was a wonderful show and the sound is always really nice at shoreline. however it is hard to get to which makes the oakland area much nicer to commute. I love the green tortoise and it's drivers are incredible. :)
It's been so long since I have seen the show and as I said - always an adventure.
I left a little early to try and figure out how I was going to get home, seeing as hitching in those areas are not fun. I ended up being escorted by a very nice young fella to my bus stop. which was over two miles away.
I love the way the fog rolls over the hill. I hope they play pac bell from here on out! that place is sweet! every seat is a great seat and the wharf down to chrissy fields under the bridge and up over the bluffs by baker and china and on to landsend is one sweet walk.
beautiful place. the fog has it's own mystique.
I loved the first time I saw them. it was shoreline and he had just done the kfog show and was talkin' like elvis just for giggles. I was amazed. They played this really sweet melody with no words prior to one sweet world, stunning and it totally changes the crowds attitude with one clear blow. I think y'all would refer to this as the nature intro. I found that out many years later. anyway they have played some wonderful shows there at shoreline, the name is so nice. I would love to see them in the city I love. San Francisco and Boston (outside) would be nice. I can dream (almost in circles feeling in a way).
well I have to get going now this blasted thing has already taken up alot of time!
have a nice day

best date of my life so far, the fates tried to make it too difficult for us to get to the show, but we wouldn't give up!! we missed SEEING the 1st 2.5 songs, but we HEARD the whole show from the parking lot and through the gates/security until we finally got to the grass and just parked it towards the end of "satellite"

It had been almost 8 years since I'd seen dave, the last time being the Greek show, 2 days after Jerry Garica died. August 1st is Jerry's birthday, so it was ironic being at another venue so closely associated with the Grateful Dead seeing Dave. To be honest, I didn't stay for that much of this show. We'd been there largely to see The Roots and their manager who is one of my oldest friends in the world. I was also with my nearly-four-year-old son, so I didn't get too much of a chance to catch up with Dave. This was a nice preview however of the Dave and Friends show that would come around in early 2004.

A nice, pretty mellow show. Interesting and great mix of tunes. Highlights for me were Sppon (I like the new way they do this a lot!), Pay for What You Get, Don't Drink the Water (Dave was really yelling - in a good way! - on this one) and Stay (ditto). Overall, the band sounded great! Boyd seemed mixed pretty low and he wasn't too busy on this show, and Roi was in good form. Looking forward to more tonight at the Shoreline!

Awesome freaking show thats all I have to say. Spoon, Pay for What you Get, Help Myself, an absolutely rocking Loving Wings with Butch kicking the solo, and a rocking Billies to close. Dave was dancing his ass off tonight and everybody was loving it. My favorite of this week so far. Love the boys and love what they are putting down.

Review:
The show had amzaing moments, but was a little thin. Songs that stood out, loving wings, spoon, pay for what you get, and dont drink the water. DDTW had to be the best version i had ever seen. Dave sreaming "God is on my side" defintley put more impact behind the song. The jam off of loving wings seemed totally improvised, as if they hadnt planned for it, that was cool. To see Pay was also a treat. Unfortunatley bartender was a little weak, overall the show was alright, but the chula vista show was by far the best.

Good show, fairly mellow, but a nice intro to the next night which blew the imaginary roof off of Shoreline. Met a good DMB friend at this show.

Very quality show, definitely had a classic DMB feel to it with a lot of old stuff and some very quality jamming. Not to mention the Shoreline being a great venue with clear sound and good weather. The first 5 songs are hard to beat in terms of a great opening hour of music. Worth the 6 hour drive any day.
