Crash Vinyl and Live Trax 38 details
Posted by Jake Vigliotti in Live Releases at 2:51pm on Tuesday, Jun 14th, 2016The official Dave Matthews Band site announced two great releases; Crash on Vinyl and Live Trax 38. They both go hand-in-hand in a way. Allow us to explain all the releases and swag associated with this.
The Crash vinyl is two 180 gram vinyl records - (that's on the heavy side if you're not a vinyl guru). Three songs a side recorded from the original analog tapes. What that means is that Crash will sound AWESOME. Loud, clear, like nothing you've heard before. You can package that with a plethora of stuff, including Live Trax 38. The aforementioned Live Trax is from the release year of Crash; 1996, June 8 at SPAC. The setlist is Crash heavy with some outstanding performances from one of the band's favorite venues. You can order either, or both. You could order neither too but that would be just plain silly.
There is another option - Amazon. The super-website offers a slightly different Crash vinyl; 150 gram vinyl discs with a fancy design on them. The Splatter Color vinyl really aren't that much of a difference from the 180 gram version available from the DMB site. Regardless, the splatter color vinyl is available here.
We're not going to tell you how to spend your money, but you can always buy all three. It is worth noting that there are no bonus tracks available on Crash; so what you get it just the straight original release on a great sounding vinyl. You can consider Live Trax 38 the bonus if you'd like.
