2005 Summer Tour Setlist Game Winners
Posted by Joe M in Site News at 4:00pm on Tuesday, Sep 27th, 2005Now that the tour has ended, we can announce the 2005 Summer Tour Setlist Winners! This year’s game saw very high scores as the band was supporting Stand Up and playing much of the songs (42% of the time with next highest album being Under the Table and Dreaming at 13%). For example Dreamgirl, Hunger for the Great Light and Louisiana Bayou were played at almost all the shows. This ended up putting emphasis on getting songs in the correct spots in the setlist game.
This year's average points scored per show was just a fraction less then last years, meaning the Band's setlists this year were just has hard/easy to predict as the 2004 Summer Tour. But at the same time, this year's openers were a more predictable then last year with closers having exactly the same predictability. The 54 shows that were part of this tour's setlist game made it one of the longer ones.
Big thanks to the 1,456 of you that tried for the prizes and joined in on the fun, it was a blast. Congratulations to those of you that won and earned bragging rights. For those of you that didn’t win, there will be plenty more opportunities to come (the Winter tour is only a couple months away).
We saw a crazy lead by the quiet Chap Stick during the first part of the tour. Right when everyone thought Chap Stick couldn't be caught he dropped out during the tour break. As you will see, this year’s winner dominated a lot of the different categories (3 out of 5), and because of this we have decided to give the prize to the next highest ranked on categories won by one of the top 3 overall ranked players. Now for the results!
The Top 3 Winners of the Summer Tour Setlist Game:
1st: puppy with 1,593 Total Points (Prize: Entire 2005 Summer Tour CD collection)
2nd: Dreamntrece with 1,532 Total Points (Prize: 10 shows of choice from Summer Tour)
3rd: JmoneyDMB with 1,529 Total Points (last years winner) (Prize: 5 shows of choice from Summer Tour)
(For the second year in a row, rncarter21 finished just out of the top 3 in 4th place. Last year rncarter21 was awarded Rookie of the Year.)
The winners of individual categories for the Summer Tour, each receiving 2 shows from the Summer 2005 Tour burned to CD:
•Highest Average Points Per Show (for 10 or more shows): Chap Stick (# 99) with 28.4000 p/s
(puppy was #1 with 29.5000)
•Most Songs Correctly Picked: Mickey Carson (#5) with 575
(puppy was #1 with 29.5000)
•Most Spots Correctly Picked: rncarter21 (#4) with 90
•Most Openers Picked Correctly: nh2032 (#6) and mangione (#8) with 14
•Most Closers Picked Correctly: Noles20 (#11) and Wiersdmb (#39) with 18
(puppy also had 18)
•Rookie of the Year: mangione (#4) with 1,452 points
