Posted by Jake Vigliotti 7/18/08 6:59pm
Leroi Moore has returned to the hospital.
The DMB Saxophonist was released from the hospital earlier this week to recover at home, but has returned to the hospital, according to The Official Site.
He was admitted on July 17, or early July 18, after issues occurred during his home recovery.
As we mentioned earlier, Roi suffered a punctured lung among other ailments after his June 30 ATV accident outside Charlottesville.
Mass Farm Aid
Posted by Jake Vigliotti 7/16/08 6:16pm
The 2008 Farm Aid concert hits the east coast again.
According to an email from the Warehouse, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds will perform on September 20 the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA. Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and Neil Young will also be on the ticket, as usual.
Tickets through The Warehouse are on sale July 16, with the ordering period ending July 21.
Also, as we mentioned earlier, the show on July 20 in Commerce City, CO will be webcast via the AT&T Blueroom - the same fellas that did the West Point shows. DMB is the headliner that night, so they'll be one of the last acts, so those of you on the East Coast better take naps during the day if you want to stay up late and watch the webcast!

More Webcasts?
Posted by Jake Vigliotti 7/7/08 6:30am
Maybe the Rothbury Festival isn't the only Webcast for DMB this summer.
The AT&T Blue Room, which showed both of DMB's World's Largest Pep Rally shows from West Point in 2007, is going to show the upcoming Mile High Music festival on the net, according to their site. The shows are set for July 19 and 20.
No official word has come out from DMB management either way on this yet.

Sources: Roi has Punctured Lung
Posted by Jake Vigliotti 7/2/08 5:10pm
Leroi Moore may be out for quite a while.
Multiple sources tell antsmarching.org that Leroi Moore suffered a punctured lung and broken ribs. The June 30 accident landed the saxophonist in the hospital, where he remains as of July 2.
Speculation among those familiar with his situation believe that he could be out longer than we anticipate. For "up to a year", according to one source. Most agree that he will not return for this tour.
How this will effect the potential album, and future sessions, is unknown.

Posted by Jake Vigliotti 6/30/08 8:12pm
Dave Matthews Band saxophonist Leroi Moore was injured June 30 in an ATV accident. He is listed in Serious Condition at the University of Virginia Health System, according to The Warehouse.
The accident occurred at his home outside Charlottesville.
No other details are available yet, but as they become available, we will report them.
The official site has already announced that Bela Fleck saxophonist Jeff Coffin will sit in with DMB as Moore recovers.
UPDATE July 1: Roi is upgraded to Fair condition. There is no other information available at this time, but fair is good! You can send an E-Card to Roi via this link and wish him well!
Nancies.org Closes Shop
Posted by Jake Vigliotti 6/30/08 6:18pm
Nancies.org, one of the first DMB fan-sites, is shutting down.
The message boards closed on June 30, and the rest of the site will not be updated in the future. Long time admins Waldo, Shep, and the rest of the guys made the announcement on their boards a few days before the shutdown.
Nancies came into being on July 31, 1998, and quickly established itself as the premiere fan-site of their time. With the active boards, set lists, and features, the site gained enough respect to win a VH-1 Award for Best Fan-Site in 2001.
The site was really the model for allDMB fan-sites, and they will be missed.
Fonz Talks World Tour/Album
Posted by Jake Vigliotti 6/28/08 12:29pm
Stefan took some time to talk about the current tour, future tour, and what the album looks like.
In an interview with Cali of Mix 98-5, Fonz talked about a wide variety of things, including the future album.
Fonz called the album, "somewhat finished", but lamented that nothing is really ready to be played live yet. The tone of the songs is what he describes as a, "Return to an older sound". That's code for none of that Everyday junk. The band will be back in studio in October to finish the album, according to Lessard.
He also mentioned the Butch situation, Stefan said, "(Butch) didn't want to be out on tour with us", but did not comment further other than to wish him well in the future.
Stefan also confirmed the reports on South American radio stations (and from our friends at DMBrasil.net) that DMB is indeed traveling down that way for some shows. Some time in October seems to be the rumor, but an official announcement should come soon from DMB Mgmt.
If the name Cali sounds familar to you, or the smooth dulcet tones of his Massachusetts accent bring you to that sanguine place in your heart, that's because he's interviewed members of DMB many times before. And since he's a fan, his questions are usually more geared toward stuff we want to hear. You can head over to our Tour Central section and listen to all of the Cali interviews. Or just click here.
Dave Has Little Feat
Posted by Jake Vigliotti 6/26/08 6:33am
Dave is lending his voice to an upcoming album.
The great band Little Feat's latest album - Join The Band features many different artists guesting on songs. Dave sings with the band on Fat Man In The Bathtub - the lead track on the album.
If you don't know Little Feat - first shame on you - they sing the song Dixie Chicken, which Dave has used during the outro for Crash Into Me for years. On the album, Dixie Chicken is performed with Vince Gill and Sonny Landreth.
The album hits stores August 26, but will be available exclusively from iTunes July 1 via this link (the link isn't good until July 1). You can also preview the tracks here from all the artists. You note that Spanish Moon, another song Dave has sung a few times, is also on the album (with Vince Gill guesting).
