News: Dave Matthews Appears on New Kenny Chesney Live Album
It appears that Dave Matthews and Kenny Chesney will once again grace a track list together. Kenny Chesney released the setlist for his forthcoming double LP Live in No Shoes Nation yesterday, which includes 30 performances covering ten years of live shows, replete with special guest musicians. Astute followers of Dave's non-Dave Matthews Band exploits may recall Chesney's 2008 album Lucky Old Sun contained a cover of Willie Nelson's I'm Alive, which he recorded as a duet with DMB's frontman. This time around, Dave gets to showcase his live chops, as Chesney's live release lists the track "The Joker / Three Little Birds (with Dave Matthews)." That particular performance was from Kenny Chesney show on September 7, 2007 at HiFi Buys Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA. Dave joined Kenny onstage for the duet, also performing Where Are You Going.
Other guests on the album include Zac Brown Band, Grace Potter, David Lee Murphy, Mac McAnally, Old Dominion, Eric Church, and yes, Taylor Swift. Live in No Shoes Nation drops October 27th.
